The 999 Club is a small charity doing big things with local people facing homelessness. For over 30 years we’ve been in the heart of Deptford providing warm welcomes and wraparound services ensuring those who need us are given the best chance of leaving homelessness behind for good.
Our Gateway Drop-In Centre offers nutritious meals, laundry and medical facilities, showers, IT access, phone charging , a safe space to rest and a dedicated Women’s Sanctury.
When members feel ready, our team of expert staff are on hand to support them into suitable accommodation where possible, secure income via paid work or benefits, and provide immigration signposting for those who need it. Once housed, our Move+ programme continues to work with them to ensure they settle into new accommodation with the knowledge, skills, community and hope required to thrive in their new life.
We also run The Bridge, a free six-week evening mental health course open to anyone in the community experiencing mental distress. The programme provides a practical toolkit to support long-term mental wellbeing.
JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
This newly created role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. Knowledge and Experience:

Excellent grant writing and communication skills

Proven track record of at least 5 years in successful funding applications

Press and Communications Officer

Age UK Camden is an independent charity supporting older people throughout the borough of Camden. This role sits within the Fundraising and Marketing Team, responsible for raising the profile of Age UK Camden within the borough and generating income for the organisation.
The Press and Communications officer will oversee our press and media activity, writing press releases and building strong relationships with local and, where relevant, national media. The post holder will be responsible for producing marketing materials – print and online – for the organisation. The post holder will be responsible for Age UK website – liaising with colleagues to keep service information up to date, writing and producing relevant news articles and content as needed, auditing and organising existing website content. This role also supports the fundraising and income generation areas of work within the organisation including producing communications and materials for aspects such as fundraising campaigns, corporate volunteering and general fundraising activities.

We are seeking a proactive and strategic fundraiser to lead income generation and drive real impact for the UK’s national trails.
Position: Fundraising and Development Manager
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Location: Remote (some UK travel required)
Hours: Full time
Contract: 2-year fixed term

About the Role
As Fundraising and Development Manager you’ll take the lead on building meaningful relationships with funders and corporate partners, managing grant applications from research to reporting, and developing the fundraising strategy in alignment with organisational goals.
As the sole fundraiser in a small, passionate team, this is a unique opportunity to shape a growing charity’s income generation strategy while championing access to the UK’s finest outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and grow relationships with trusts, grant-makers and corporate sponsors.
- Research new funding opportunities and develop compelling applications, including budgets and case studies.
- Develop the charity’s corporate membership offering and lead strategic partnerships.
- Support member organisations with funding opportunities and coordinate a Fundraising Special Interest Group.
- Maintain and develop the CRM system (Beacon) in line with fundraising best practice and GDPR.
- Monitor fundraising KPIs and contribute to annual budgets and business planning.
- Ensure fundraising is ethical, inclusive and legally compliant.
