The Legacy and In-Memory Stewardship Officer will help to support and deliver our Legacy and In Memory stewardship programme, working closely with the Senior Stewardship Officer to ensure the smooth and effective management of day-to-day activity, reporting, and stewardship campaigns.

Duties and key responsibilities
Financial Administration and Bookkeeping
- Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
- Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
- Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
- Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
- Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
- Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
- Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.
- Working with the Database and Finance Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50 and the income spreadsheet on a quarterly basis.
- Maintaining organised financial files to support monthly reporting and the year-end audit.
- Updating and monitoring the VAT threshold spreadsheet, ensuring the organisation remains compliant and alerting the Director of Finance & Resources to any potential threshold issues.

Financial Reporting
- Producing timely and accurate monthly management accounts, accompanied by analysis, commentary, and project-level breakdowns.

- Maintain and regularly update the restricted fund spreadsheet, ensuring accurate tracking of income, expenditure, and balances in line with donor and grant requirements.
Budget Management
- Supporting the preparation of the annual Excel-based organisational budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Participating in budget meetings with managers to ensure robust and realistic financial plans.
- Assisting project managers with the preparation of Excel-based project budgets.
Audit
Preparation for the annual audit and compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements, including:

Other

About The Role
We are looking for an exceptional Senior Philanthropy manager for Trusts and Foundations to join the King’s Maudsley Partnership (KMP) fundraising team and secure significant long-term philanthropic investment for children and adolescent mental health research and treatment.
The King’s Maudsley Partnership will have its home at Pears Maudsley Centre for Children and Young People in south London, opening in early 2026. The partnership brings together clinical and academic excellence in a unique collaboration between the UK’s largest NHS provider of specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (the Trust), and King’s College London’s Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), the leading child and adolescent mental health research team in Europe – with Maudsley Charity as its charity partner alongside other leading philanthropists.
The Centre has been partly funded by philanthropy via a successful capital campaign secured in excess of £30m, and this role will work with the new Director of King's Maudsley Partnership, Professor Philip Shaw, and colleagues across the Trust, IoPPN, Maudsley Charity and KCL fundraising department to ensure philanthropic income continues to be a significant driver of change.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager for Trusts and Foundations, you will lead on cultivating and stewarding high‑value relationships with charitable trusts and foundations to secure six and seven-figure gifts. The role will focus on developing compelling proposals grounded in evidence and impact, managing a robust pipeline of donors and prospects, and ensuring timely reporting that builds long‑term confidence in our work. Our Director leads the team and represents fundraising at the highest levels including reporting at various boards and committees.

About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising from trusts, foundations and statutory funders, ideally in the Higher Education or health/research sector, with a focus on six and seven figure donations.
- Experience of growing a fundraising pipeline, with an emphasis on building new relationships with previously ‘cold’ prospects and managing a cultivation through to solicitation and stewardship.
- A proven track record of using initiative to secure major grants and donations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong powers of persuasion.
- Experience in preparing budgets, monitoring project expenditure and delivering clear impact reports
Desirable criteria

What you would be doing

This is a fantastic opportunity within the RNLI to play a vital role in developing and growing the RNLI in-house F2F Fundraising team to reach the ambitious targets we have ahead. Your role
As a Senior F2F Fundraising Manager, you will be tasked with focus on the following areas:
- Recruit, train and manage a geographically diverse group of direct reports. Develop and motivate direct reports to deliver key messages, campaigns and products within the F2F strategy.
- As a senior manager in the F2F fundraising team (200+ staff), continue to develop and maintain a positive high-performing culture to ensure the team are performing at their best and developing. Drive continuous improvement across all KPIs.
- Construct and monitor financial and performance reports to ensure budget & KPIs are met, reforecasting where necessary.
- Develop a positive safety culture by identifying and managing risks to health and safety and safeguarding.
- Oversee compliance & complaints to ensure RNLI F2F fundraising adheres to best practice.
- Lead the delivery of selected team projects from initiation to completion, working with colleagues both within the F2F team and the wider organisation to provide the plans, processes and tools needed for the team to achieve their objectives. Survival International is offering a rare opportunity to join our Research and Advocacy Department, working primarily on our campaigns for the rights of uncontacted Indigenous peoples in Spanish-speaking South America.
This is a chance to join a deeply committed Indigenous rights campaigning organisation that regularly takes on powerful targets and wins. We are looking for a creative, strategic and focused research and policy person to join us at either Officer or Assistant level. You can be part of combating the violent colonialism and land theft that is threatening Indigenous peoples worldwide – one of the most urgent crises of our time.
