About the role

As Communications Adviser, you will shape and lead SUN CSN's communications and member engagement strategy — from amplifying community voices to showcasing change-makers across the nutrition sector. You will produce innovative multimedia content, manage digital channels, oversee newsletters and social media, and maintain our website as a go-to hub for news and resources.

In this pivotal role, you'll also collaborate with global partners from within and outside the SUN Movement, manage communications projects, and support the launch of our new SUN CSN Strategy 4.0 (2026–2030). Some international travel may be required to capture stories firsthand. You will also be working with people from different backgrounds who speak other languages so mastering French and Spanish, as well as AI-generated translation tools, would be important in this role.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the SUN CSN website strategy and work closely with web developers.

• Manage and grow social media presence to engage network members and key global health audiences.

Main Tasks

About the Role

You will be integral in delivering research, data, and insights that support organisational development and programme delivery across NYA.

The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by building and nurturing relationships with churches, Christian organisations, and individuals. Our expert team of canine behaviourists provide behavioural support and advice to teams within Battersea, members of the public, and the rescue organisations we work with around the world. The team design and help implement behaviour modification and training plans for dogs whilst coaching members of the canine care groups through the practical day-to-day steps. They also assist with behavioural and welfare assessments of animals who come into our centres and are on hand to help manage and provide further support with dogs with more complex behavioural needs. The team provide support to dogs during their stay at Battersea, and are also available for continued advice after rehoming.

We are now looking to recruit a Canine Behaviour and Training Advisor for our team in London. Within this role, you will work with our operational teams in the assessment and welfare of the dogs in our care and in the provision of behavioural training and advice for staff, volunteers, customers and external organisations. You will be working as part of a care group to create behaviour modification plans, support with handling difficult dogs and make recommendations, along with the individual care group, for individual dog outcomes.

You'll use the Parkinson's UK brand personality and tone of voice to deliver engaging content for different audiences and channels, both online and offline.

This opportunity is offered on a 12 month, fixed term contract.

What you’ll do

• Write, edit and proof content for a range of communications projects briefed into our in-house Studio and the website. 
• Champion our brand and tone of voice, using our guidelines to create and edit content and explain changes to stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation and collaborate with them as a content expert.
• Use feedback and insight to shape written content for a wide range of audiences and channels.

What you’ll bring

• Excellent writing and proofreading skills, with an ability to adapt tone of voice for different audiences.
• Ability to work to and champion brand guidelines and house style.
• Strong collaboration skills with confidence working with colleagues across the charity.
• Ability to manage a busy workload with competing priorities.
• Experience editing online content, with knowledge of accessibility requirements and SEO techniques desirable.
