The charity is an international alliance of local civil society organisations which work together to mobilise knowledge, skills and resources dedicated to ensuring that every child can grow up in a safe and caring family environment, or in suitable alternative care if necessary. 

This role is available on a fixed term 12-month contract, where you would work on a part-time basis (21 hours a week) and remote working arrangement. The salary on offer for this role is £42,750 FTE which would be pro-rated to £25,650.

Within this role you will play a key role providing generalist HR support across the organisation. You will coordinate and support with recruitment campaigns, onboarding processes, employee relations, performance management processes, learning and development activities, maintaining and developing HR policies and manage payroll. You will be the first point of contact for HR related queries and manage HR administration and systems.
 
To be successful in this role, you will be educated to UK Degree level (international Level 6) or equivalent qualification ideally in HR Management/professional HR qualification (CIPD level 5 or above). You will have demonstrable experience working in generalist/operational HR at a similar level within the UK, with knowledge of international employment mechanisms.
 
You will have experience of developing and implementing HR policy based on best practice and current legislation (UK and international). You will have experience of supporting multi-disciplinary teams in a remote working and multicultural environment. You will be an effective communicator role, with experience maintaining relationships with a variety of internal stakeholders. You will also have the ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
 
Desirably, you will have experience working within a network organisation and understanding of charity sector/international development and/or international membership organisations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead external affairs, collaborating with stakeholders to shape policy, advocacy and best practice that removes barriers and expands EO.

Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the  Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities.  The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. You will be required to attend two Directorate days each year and occasional face-to-face meetings with your team or our partner agencies. In addition, the charity meets four times annually at its office in Hatfield (or a location in London) for its’ ‘All Staff Together’ days, at which attendance is mandatory.

You will be responsible for cultivating and securing philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and businesses, helping to ensure that MediCinema can continue to provide its vital services and reach many more hospital partners across the UK.  You will work closely with the Director of Development and colleagues across MediCinema, as well as with key stakeholders such as our Trustees, to create tailored fundraising strategies, and build and sustain long-term relationships with high-net-worth donors and partners.  Through the creation of a Fundraising board, a Donor Circle and development of a structured giving programme, you will help us to attract and engage donors in our long-term vision. 

You will bring a demonstrable track record in major gifts fundraising, ideally at the 5 and 6-figure level, and delivering successful income generating activities. To succeed in this role, you will be resourceful, self-motivated and collaborative, and be excited about an opportunity to work within a small and growing team.  You will work in lockstep with the Director of Development, and have the opportunity to bring your creativity and entrepreneurial flair to a purpose-led organisation that is on a path of success.  In return, you will have the support of a committed Director and team, a highly engaged CEO and Trustees, and have an opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of thousands of people.

Since 2000, SongBird Survival has been fighting for a better future for UK songbirds, and they are the only national UK charity solely dedicated to make a positive impact for songbirds in the face of this devastating ecological emergency. Their goals are to drive impactful conservation through scientific research, protect songbirds by raising awareness and inspiring action, and safeguarding the most at-risk songbird species in the UK. SongBird Survival do this by commissioning independent scientific research into the causes of the catastrophic decline in songbird numbers, translating research findings into actionable strategies, which aim to make a tangible difference in the protection and preservation of songbird populations. They also campaign for change, working with other NGOs and policymakers.

The Scientific Research and Impact Manager role is at the heart of SongBird Survival’s mission, ensuring that their research not only advances scientific understanding but also influences policy change, engages stakeholders, and strengthens communications and fundraising strategies. The postholder will oversee research projects, build key partnerships, and turn findings into practical conservation strategies. 

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Degree level education in Ecology or an appropriate discipline or equivalent experience, with comprehensive knowledge of songbird and other small bird ecology.
• Knowledge and understanding of how scientific research is commissioned and delivered, as well as the ability to assimilate and appraise relevant information.
• Track record of translating scientific findings into policy, communications and stakeholder engagement.
• Knowledge of UK environmental policy and its impact on conservation efforts.

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraiser working for The Salvation Army. This role will report into the Head of Legacy and In Memory and line manage two others in the team to inspire in-memory and legacy donors, whilst driving key fundraising targets and activities.  

You will deliver multi-channel legacy marketing campaigns to grow In Memory and Legacy supporters, develop new ideas, and provide excellent stewardship to current and long-standing supporters of the charity. This role will focus on growth and the protection of legacy income, currently £65m per year. We’re looking for a dynamic and creative Communication and Engagement Manager to join the team and help amplify the voices of their community, drive engagement through compelling storytelling, and ensure their message resonates across a range of platforms.

This is a brand-new role, which will lead on the development and delivery of the London Landmarks Half Marathon Team Tommy’s communications journey across multiple channels to their 3,000+ participants with the aim to grow participant average gift.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development and delivery of integrated communications and engagement strategies to support Tommy’s events and campaigns.
• Create and manage inspiring content across email, SMS, print, and social media channels.
• Work closely with colleagues, media, and external partners to tell powerful stories that engage, inform, and inspire.
