To support our continued growth, we are looking for a Fundraising Support Officer to join our growing Fundraising team to help increase income generation. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we look to build a future of excellent frontline services and influential lived experience led campaigning.

About the team

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.

This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.

You’ll work with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources to help them to sustain their groups, working with colleagues right across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), building a joined-up user experience.

About the role

The role of the Peer Support Hub Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.

In this context, your team is the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well.

Your national team of three will make sure groups feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

The type of person we’re looking for:

Dynamic and people-centred, this role is about developing a supportive community of peer support groups nationally. You’ll understand the power of relationships and be an excellent communicator. You’ll understand how communities hold their own power and your team will help unlock that. Innovation is key to the success of the Hub and you’ll ensure you’re using best practice and learning to develop it.

An excellent communicator, you’ll develop external partnerships to support group sustainability. You’ll ensure through the National Peer Support Connector role that peer communities are connected and engaging with the new National Kinship Care Ambassador.

You’ll be comfortable with using digital technology and tools to build communities and develop resources.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ongoing innovation of the Hub service, embedding best practice, digital innovation and learning to develop a thriving peer community.

• Develop, deliver and take accountability including strategic oversight for an annual operational plan for the peer support hub.

• Work with Head of Marketing to develop an integrated promotional plan.

• Work with Head of Network Development to coordinate national partnerships.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience in delivering a high-profile national service or programme. This includes overseeing delivery, operational planning, monitoring, budgeting, managing delivery, meeting KPIs, stakeholder engagement and reporting to funders.

• Experience of effective budget management.

• Experience working in a role focused on one or more of the following areas; communications (including digital communications) or marketing.

• Significant experience of developing and delivering successful community engagement strategies.

Situated in the Programmes, Policy & Impact Directorate, and reporting into the Head of UK Programmes, the Programme Lead, Carer Poverty Alleviation is a new role linked to the development of a new major programme operating in England, Scotland, and Wales. The Carer Poverty Alleviation Programme is a new Carers Trust programme under our strategic goal that no carer is pushed into poverty or is financially disadvantaged by their caring role.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. In this exciting and diverse role, you will be leading on the recruitment and stewardship of individual fundraisers and fundraising groups undertaking challenge events, digital fundraising and other community fundraising initiatives. 

Just some of the activities you will be working on include:

o   Taking ownership of community and events fundraising at The Compassionate Friends, including preparing an annual plan, and incorporating digital fundraising alongside traditional methods.

The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

· Take a proactive approach to gathering NHS staff, member and supporter case studies

We are recruiting a Stories Manager to develop and drive our strategy to put the stories of our volunteers, callers and fundraisers at the front of our communications and fundraising work. 

This role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate experienced in working with case studies and storytellers who can efficiently manage a range of different stories sensitively and with confidence. If successful, you will lead the Samaritans case study function, support the organisation with its handling of real life stories and manage the relevant systems and processes.

Age UK's impactful Research Team are offering a fantastic 2 year fixed term Research Officer opportunity. In this role you will provide statistical and quantitative research support to colleagues across the charity, including policy and campaigns, media and fundraising.

The successful postholder will:
* source local, national and international statistics

* create data visualisations
* produce statistical notes

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in this newly created 18 month fixed term contract.

Your role will be to plan, design, and deliver data analysis activities to draw insight from a range of sources which can be used to inform policy, research, campaigns, and service delivery. Using data science, you will help design new solutions to complex challenges facing the armed forces community and those who support them, and be at the heart of building and understanding the evidence base to inform RBL’s future strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Research, you will support teams across RBL to collect, analyse, and use data in ways that enable effective, efficient understanding of needs of the armed forces community, what is being delivered to meet these needs, the impact this makes, and where improvements can be made.

Some key responsibilities will include:

· Design, advise on, and conduct accurate, timely analysis of data from sources across RBL, using a range of statistical tools and techniques

· Explore, analyse, and visualise data from external sources including national surveys, studies, and databases

· Monitor the latest developments in data science and create innovative proposals for new ways to create, combine, analyse, and use data

· Draw conclusions and recommendations from data, transforming data into insights that help address complex problems and inform decision-making, and present these in a range of formats.

· Advise on design and define data requirements for future information collection systems and research, to enable deeper and practical insights for future service planning, policy influencing, and campaigns

· Work closely with Campaigns, Policy & Research colleagues to maximise use of internal and external data to inform and evidence policy positions, asks, and campaigns

· Develop relationships with research, analysis, and data stakeholders, for example in academic institutions, research agencies, charities, government departments, other public bodies, the Armed Forces community, and data science professionals across a range of sectors.

You will be contracted to your home address, and you will perform most of your work remotely there using our collaboration tools to work with colleagues, with occasional travel (incl. for monthly team meetings) to our London Head Office hub.
