Blue Ventures is a marine conservation organisation that puts people first. We support coastal fishers in remote and rural communities to rebuild fisheries and restore ocean life.
Our work began two decades ago in Madagascar’s remote coastal communities and is growing globally.
Across a dozen countries, we’re partnering with traditional fishers and community organisations to design, scale, strengthen, and sustain fisheries management and conservation at the community level. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in a growing global movement that seeks to end destructive bottom trawling practices and champion the rights of small-scale fishers.
The Transform Bottom Trawling Coalition is a global movement uniting small-scale fishers, coastal communities, and environmental groups against the most destructive form of industrial fishing. Together with over 120 members, we are advocating for:

Protecting coastal water: Creating Inshore Exclusion Zones and Preferential Access Areas to keep bottom trawling out and give small-scale fishers priority access.

Main duties
Fundraising CRM Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end project to replace the current CRM system, including an audit of existing data, research into CRM options, supplier selection and full onboarding and implementation.
- Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system during the review period, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for purpose while supporting the transition process.

What you will do:
The role encompasses all aspects of digital marketing activity, including both B2B and B2C. You’ll also be supporting commercial activities for Waddesdon Manor, the trading company RWL which includes Catering for the Manor operation, visitors, retail, public events, private events, The Bow and The Five Arrows, and any special projects for the Rothschild Foundation e.g. future commercial property developments.

1. The Role
The Head of Audiences is a new leadership role in the Commercial Operations team designed to ensure that audience insight and segmentation are at the heart of everything we do. This role will lead on understanding who our current and prospective audiences are, how they engage with us and what they need now and in the future. You will use this insight to guide programming, marketing, visitor experience at Winchester Science Centre but as we evolve our Charity’s reach and engagement you will play an important role in ensuring we fulfil our ambitious plans and reaching a diverse community. By building an inclusive and evidence-based audience strategy, this role will enable Winchester Science Centre to grow reach and engagement, deepen impact and fulfil its charitable mission to inspire a lifetime of curiosity in science.
The role is part of the Commercial Operations team led by the Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the Head of Programming and Head of Visitor Experience. However, you will work with the wider leadership and their teams to ensure that both the community programme and on-site experience are insight-led, responsive to audience needs, and relevant to a wide range of segments. We’re looking for a dynamic, strategic and articulate professional fundraiser to drive forward our emerging major donor programme. Working alongside senior Laureus staff and stakeholders to connect, cultivate and steward high net worth individuals around the work of the Foundation, the post holder will be expected to design and support the execution of a range of high-quality events leaning on the excellent brand profile assets at Laureus’ disposal.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate all HNW activity ensuring that:
- Appropriate levels of communication are established and maintained

Provide first class stewardship to the International Council/Friends of Laureus group of HNW supporters whilst also exploring if other products or partnerships might offer attractive benefits to donors

Work with programme colleagues to create opportunities for programme visits open to key donors – either in the UK or internationally, whilst also extracting key programme asks for funding

Work with talent team colleagues to create engagement opportunities with Laureus Academy Members and Ambassadors that support HNW engagement and stewardship

KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Proven track record of successful fundraising experience
- Experience of building long-term, trust-based relationships with HNWI
- Developed or contributed to HNW fundraising campaigns
- Strategic and result-driven approach to planning donor journeys and stewardship programmes
- Proficient in using donor databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce) for tracking contacts and income and data analytics/ prospect research
