Your role in summary • As part of a proactive team, you will produce excellent, creative written content that captivates and motivates hospice supporters, donors, customers, staff and volunteers. • Support our communications output, both digital and physical: covering our events, shops, stories and ongoing campaigns. • Capture and convey stories that reflect the diversity of our hospice stakeholders, showcasing the positive impact that the community’s support has on our hospice care. This will include writing about fundraisers, volunteers and staff, as well as people who benefit from our care or support. • Using your skillset, understand the tone and message to use in our content in line with our hospice values and brand. • Support the delivery of our fundraising and shops’ social media activity. Working alongside colleagues, produce effective content delivered through the main hospice and shop channels to encourage supporters to shop, donate or register for events. This will require effective forward planning and hands-on creation of visual (video/still) and written content. • As required, provide design support/delivery in relation to fundraising, trading and general hospice posters, flyers and digital content. • Ensure hospice artwork is accurate and on-brand. Ensure that content adheres to brand guidelines, bringing your ideas and experience to protect our hospice and fundraising brands, whilst keeping it fresh. • Help coordinate and update any changes to our website (specific platform training provided) • Ensure our Digital Screens are fresh and accurate, showcasing relevant hospice activity. • Help share relevant social media across appropriate community groups, providing timely responses to comments. • As required, dive into our CRM/Database system to understand, profile, and personalise communications. To lead on the development of events, activities and campaigns focused on student health & wellbeing, encouraging positive behaviours and outcomes.
- To implement student wellbeing external accreditation schemes, administration and delivery of associated activities, seeking support from and liaising with Guild and University colleagues.
- To develop and build on the success of cost-of-living initiatives and support for students living on low incomes, including sourcing funding and appropriate stakeholder involvement.
- To be responsible for supervising core and student staff members.
Success in the role will require a highly student and customer focused approach together with an emphasis on teamwork. The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a positive ambassador for the Guild and facilitating under-represented groups to find a comfortable place here.

Senior Philanthropy Manager
Salary £55,000 - £60,000 per annum - subject to skills and experience
Hours of work 37.5 hours a week over five days (we welcome flexible working requests)
Base Hybrid working with attendance in the office two days a week, including
at least one at our central office (Pears Building, NW3). Other office days may be
worked from our other sites:
- Barnet (EN5), Enfield (EN2)
- North-Middlesex University Hospital.
The role
As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for delivering sector-leading fundraising, sitting at the heart of a successful team to drive relationships and income from some of the UK’s leading philanthropists.
You will thrive in personally engaging with donors to proactively solicit major gifts, alongside leading and inspiring a team of major gift fundraisers. We have a well-connected and engaged Trustee Board and an experienced fundraising Chair.
This role reports to the Head of Philanthropy and Capital Campaigns and will line manage the Philanthropy Manager (currently being recruited) and Trusts Fundraising Manager (in post), with potential for further direct and indirect reports in the future.

About the role
As Challenge Events Manager (DIY) you will lead a dynamic team and work closely with the Head of Mass Participation to support your team to develop and deliver multi-channel marketing plans as well as developing effective stewardship plans. You will work closely with the Challenge Events Manager to ensure that opportunities are maximised as well as proactively research and identify opportunities to grow the portfolio, monitoring the market and sector trends.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have;
*Experience of successfully delivering DIY and open challenge events programmes including recruitment of participants, development of supporter journeys and stewardship communications to meet projected income
*Experience leading projects and guiding and directing other team members to deliver against objectives
*Understanding of effective marketing channels and techniques for driving participation in DIY and open challenge events via digital channels
*Experience of line managing a team
