At the Nuffield Council on Bioethics (NCOB), we are on a mission to place ethics at the centre of decisions regarding biomedicine and health so that we all benefit. We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and organised communications all-rounder to support our communication and engagement activities and assist in our mission to ‘Make Ethics Matter’.
The Communications and Engagement Officer role combines work on events, communications, stakeholder management and public affairs, all seeking to build audience engagement and increase the profile and influence of the NCOB.
This is an important role within our Executive team, working across our priority areas and workstreams, with range of stakeholders, and utilising a variety of channels including in-person and online events, website, email, social media and traditional media.
The Communications and Engagement Officer reports to the Senior Communications Manager and works closely with them across all communications functions. This post will have responsibility for updating our website, running our social media channels, producing internal and external newsletters and championing and maintaining our brand identity. The post holder will also help to deliver our media relations and policy influencing activities, playing an active role in delivering media campaigns and in supporting our Parliamentary and Government engagement through working closely with the Public Affairs Manager.
We are looking for someone with experience across the communications and engagement mix, including in events and internal communications, stakeholder management and digital and social media content creation. Our work focuses on research and policy in biomedicine, health and life sciences, and while you don’t need to be an expert in those areas, you should have an enthusiasm to develop knowledge of them and the ability to quickly get to grips with the landscape in which the NCOB operates, our strategy and our target audiences.
You will enjoy working in a team environment and will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be confident working with a range of stakeholders, ranging from subject specialists and academics to policy makers, journalists and members of the public. We are seeking someone who can think creatively about communicating complex and technical research and can work independently on a range of projects. You will be highly organised, with good project management skills and the ability to prioritise and work across several projects at once.
You will have a creative mind, strong news sense and ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience. You will be able to turn your hand to writing newsletter copy, stakeholder emails, social posts and event materials / briefings to a high standard. You will be able to distil key messages from our outputs and use them to create content for a range of communication channels and audiences.
Ideally, you will have some experience of managing both online and face-to-face events. You will be confident working with audio visual equipment and systems and have experience of using data for analysis, reporting and evaluation.
Stakeholder engagement is a big part of the role, so you will need some knowledge and experience of using databases/CRM systems to manage and report on stakeholder communications.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a blend of communications and media experience who can push forward a union-led strategic communications agenda, and who can also enhance the ITF’s position in the media as the global voice of transport workers. This hands-on role will span communications and media work across the ITF.
You will be part of a team delivering solidarity and support to local, national and global disputes, building communications that reinforce the critical role of transport workers around the world, developing strategies to support union-led policies on everything from health and safety to sustainability, and raising the volume on the global struggle to advance the rights of transport workers everywhere.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this role will work collaboratively to implement communications strategies for the ITF’s industrial work programmes and their priority campaigns. The role will include targeting diverse audiences including transport workers, employers, media, policy makers and political leaders. The Communications and Press Officer will lead on the implementation of the ITF’s global media strategy: the role is pivotal to securing media coverage that raises awareness of the work and priorities of the ITF internationally, across broadcast, print, online media and trade press, while also monitoring the media coverage we gain, evaluating impact and providing insights to help shape future media work.

About the role
The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.
You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and build on each other’s experience to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.
This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home or from within an Emmaus community.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to this role. Regular travel to your allocated communities is essential, typically at least once a week. This will initially be Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, Emmaus Colchester and Emmaus Suffolk, so we are looking for a candidate based in Norwich, Colchester, Ipswich or the surrounding areas. You will also attend quarterly team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, although these may occasionally take place elsewhere in the UK and may require an overnight stay.

Position
We are looking for a proactive and organised Individual Fundraising Coordinator to support the delivery of our individual giving and digital fundraising programme during a maternity cover period.
In this role, you will contribute to donor stewardship, digital fundraising campaigns, and supporter communications, helping to ensure a high-quality and consistent experience for Lumos supporters.
You will also support the delivery of prize draw campaigns, coordinating timelines, communications, and activities across internal teams and external partners. This includes supporting campaign setup, communications, and operational delivery to ensure campaigns run smoothly and effectively.
Working closely with Fundraising, Marketing & Communications, and Operations teams, you will play a key role in maintaining momentum across campaigns and day-to-day fundraising activity.
Key responsibilities include:
· Supporting donor stewardship activities, including communications and newsletters
· Coordinating digital fundraising campaigns, including the end-of-year appeal
· Supporting the delivery of prize draw campaigns, including coordination with partners and internal teams
· Drafting and editing fundraising content for email and digital channels

Requirements
Essential:
· Strong written communication and copywriting skills

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for a Stewardship Officer (Mid-value) to join our Individual Giving and Legacies team based in London.
About us
Centrepoint helps vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. We provide homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to get them back into education, training and employment. Along with our partners, we support more than 16,000 young people across the UK every year. Together, we’re determined to end youth homelessness by 2037.
The Stewardship Officer (Mid-value) role sits within Centrepoint’s Stewardship Team in Individual Giving and Legacies (IGL). The IGL unit has grown significantly in recent years and is forecast to raise £24.7m in FY 2026/27. This role is core to the delivery of the IG Stewardship programme, supporting growth across Mid‑value Cash and Regular Giving audiences.
Working closely with the Senior Stewardship Officer (Mid-value), you will deliver a fundraising communications plan for mid-value donors, who give an annualised value of £1,000-£5,000 - including targeted appeals, inspiring updates and impact reports, as well as supporter events and online webinars. You will support efforts to drive forward stewardship journeys to deepen engagement, build long-term relationships and increase lifetime value.
Centrepoint operates a hybrid working model. The requirement is a minimum of 50% of your working week. For most full-time colleagues, this means attending the office for five days over a two-week period (e.g., two days one week and three days the next). For colleagues on different contracts (including part-time or compressed contracts) this will be adjusted accordingly.
