You would have opportunity for creative writing about our projects for funding applications and project reports, and with scope to develop the role you might find yourself writing blog posts, newsletters and so on. You would have the chance to network with other NGOs and funders at events and international development conferences. You may have the opportunity to travel to south Asia or Africa for project evaluation or conferences / networking, subject to funding. As you gain experience, there may be scope for you to contribute to project design.

Role description / person specification:

 

You would undertake research to identify new potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships. You would write project funding proposals primarily to trusts and foundations, corporate foundations, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable. Experience in fundraising from trusts / foundations in particular would be an advantage. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences is a crucial aspect of this role. You must also be comfortable using spreadsheets and have strong attention to detail, as you would be working with project budgets. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts and campaigns. A basic level of knowledge about video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The UK branch of Pragya is a small team, and so you must be capable of using your initiative and managing your own workload. You would need to prioritise your commitments and work to deadlines as needed. You would contribute to the charity’s administrative needs.

About this role

The Legacy Officer plays a vital role in securing the long-term future of the charity by administering, promoting, and stewarding the charity’s legacy programme, our largest income stream. Stewardship:

About the role

The Social Media and Marketing Officer will deliver high-performing digital marketing campaigns that drive supporter acquisition and engagement. Context:  The Institute for Turnaround (The IFT) is the UK’s leading membership organisation for turnaround experts. Specific responsibilities:

· To lead the recruitment of members including development of a marketing plan, pipeline, audience development

· To be responsible for the management and administration of membership accreditation

· To lead on member engagement, identifying key messaging and understanding members’ needs and priorities to inform delivery

· To ensure a thorough understanding of member skills and associated development of our CRM

· To plan and coordinate membership committee meetings including minuting, managing actions

· To support resource requests in association with the Business Manager

· The collaborate with the Business Manager on the annual membership renewal process

· To collaborate with colleagues on the development of corporate partnerships and events

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential

· Experience of membership recruitment or recruitment

· Ability to work independently, driving forward recruitment campaigns and projects using your own initiative

• Ability to calmly and flexibly manage a full, varied and confidential workload and use initiative and skills of perception to define membership recruitment and engagement programmes
• Persuasive, credible, comfortable in dealing with senior company executives and turnaround professionals, with the desire and ability to understand their priorities, interests and skills

Sport is our hook to engage young people and one of the vehicles through which we support youth development. But our purpose is not to create elite athletes or address physical inactivity. The Communications Manager plays a key role in increasing the reach, visibility, and impact of the organisation’s work. Job Description

1. Digital and Communications Platforms Management

• Social media planning: Develop and follow a social media content plan that includes a range of content types (promotional, engagement, inspirational), reflects the organisation’s strategic goals, and is tailored to the audience’s needs to ensure content is relevant, targeted, and impactful.
• Social media management: Manage the organisation’s social media platforms, including posting, scheduling, and engaging with relevant posts (e.g., commenting, sharing, or reposting where appropriate).
• Email newsletters: Plan, gather, and assemble engaging content (including guest articles) into visually appealing newsletters using Mailchimp, ensuring a mix of news, articles, and resources.
• Website management: Maintain and update the organisation’s WordPress website, including content updates, managing functionalities such as the learning platform and forms, and publishing new content (e.g., blogs). Liaise with website hosts or technical support as needed.
• Email communication: Use email to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders and respond to queries promptly.

2. Sector-Informed Engagement and Initiatives

• Gathering Impact Content: Engage practitioners, managers, and other stakeholders to collect photos, case studies, testimonials, and quotes that demonstrate how the NBO and NBAS are being used in practice and the difference they make. Use this content across social media, newsletters, and the website to showcase the organisation’s impact.
• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trainers, champions, international colleagues, bursary awardees, and partner organisations, to support communications activities such as guest articles, talks, and dissemination through their networks.
• Sector awareness: Maintain awareness of developments within the newborn, perinatal, and ‘1001 days’ field (including policy, NHS services, government initiatives, and charitable activities) to ensure communications remain current.
• Awareness campaigns: Support relevant awareness days and weeks throughout the year, primarily via social media, contributing a Brazelton-informed voice to wider sector themes and discussions.
• Baby Communication Week: Plan and deliver Baby Communication Week, the organisation’s annual awareness campaign, ensuring strong thematic focus and high-quality events to maximise educational impact and engagement.
• Strategic initiatives: Support additional initiatives that increase the reach, visibility, and impact of the organisation’s work in line with strategic objectives.

3. Content Creation and Brand Compliance

• Visual content: Use design tools such as Canva to produce visual assets — including graphics, videos, and, on occasion, printed materials such as posters — for social media, newsletters, the website, and events, ensuring all content is visually engaging and aligned with the organisation’s branding.
• Written content: Create written copy for a variety of channels, including newsletters, social media posts and captions, website pages, blogs, and promotional materials, ensuring all content is clear, engaging, and consistent with the organisation’s tone of voice.
• Ensure all communications comply with the organisation’s branding and communications policy, providing guidance and support to team members as required.

4. Events and Programme Administration

•  Online events: Assist with the organisation of Brazelton online events, such as quarterly Inform & Inspire Sessions, including setting up Eventbrite ticketing/booking pages, managing Zoom sessions, recording events, and uploading content to YouTube for catch-up.
•  In-person events: Support the planning and delivery of occasional in-person events, including representing the organisation at external exhibitions and contributing to the Brazelton Centre UK 30th anniversary conference in 2027.
• Bursary schemes: Assist with the administration of annual bursary schemes, including setting up application forms, managing submissions, promoting the schemes, and corresponding with applicants and awardees.

Technical/Digital Skills (Essential)
