The Choir with No Name (CWNN) has been building supportive choir communities involving people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation since 2008. We were founded on the premise that singing makes you feel good; it is a welcome respite from the challenges life throws at you, and helps build confidence, skills and genuine, long-lasting friendships.

Your role 

You will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of marketing and communications to support CWNN’s fundraising strategy. You’ll work alongside our Development Manager to create compelling fundraising campaigns, content and communications, growing engagement from individuals, companies, community fundraisers and potential funders while simultaneously raising our profile among stakeholders through strategic communications and marketing plans. This work includes:   

• Work alongside our Development Manager to create and deliver impactful and innovative fundraising strategies including our public appeals, challenge events and local fundraising campaigns.

• Developing and implementing communications strategies to promote CWNN’s work, managing our social media platforms and external comms to ensure they reflect our strategic goals and values. 

• Producing our supporter e-newsletter, with support from the Development team, to ensure CWNN’s key work, impact, news and campaigns are effectively promoted to our supporter base.

• Create engaging digital content for our website and social media including written copy, video and graphics, to drive engagement, increase awareness and generate income.

• Capturing and analysing key campaign engagement KPIs to inform future strategies and approaches to best engage existing and new audiences.

•  Produce quarterly comms impact overview for senior management and trustee reports.

• Create marketing materials for external use, eg. corporate pitch documents, fundraising packs, gig programmes, flyers and posters using Canva.

• Co-creating case studies, supporting members to share their stories, their way, amplifying their voices and demonstrating the impact of our choirs to stakeholders.

• Co-lead our co-produced ‘Digital Storytellers’ programme with our Community Participation Manager, supporting members to manage their own local social media accounts, sharing their stories and raising awareness of their choirs to new audiences.

• Maintain, organise and populate CWNN’s media library and YouTube channel.

• Write and distribute press releases to both regional and national press and media, fielding media enquiries and building our media contacts.

• Oversight of the day to day content management and maintenance of the website

• Co-ordinate our internal communications programme and internal newsletter, working with senior leadership team.

• Carry out any other tasks that arise that are within the scope and purpose of the post as requested by your line manager

About you 

Essential:

• You’ll have a proven track record in delivering successful, innovative and impactful charity communications content and strategies.
• You’ll have a good understanding of how fundraising and engagement campaigns can convert individuals into donors and advocates.
• You’ll have a creative eye and strong writing skills, with experience of bringing compelling stories to life across various platforms and media, to connect with a diverse range of supporters, funders and stakeholders.
• You’ll be able to multitask effectively, be highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• You’ll be proactive, self-motivated and can identify and act on opportunities as they arise.
• You’ll be reliable with an ability to work independently and have fantastic planning skills. 
• You’ll have a deep understanding of how successful social media content and campaigns work, and always have an eye emerging digital trends and tech.
• You’ll be experienced in using design and web platforms (we use Canva, Squarespace, ClipChamp, Later) to create and deliver professional and impactful digital multi-media content.

 Desirable:

• You’ll have a passion for, or experience of, working with people impacted by homelessness and marginalisation, and an understanding of the power of the arts to change people’s lives.

About Bipolar UK

Bipolar UK is the only national charity dedicated to supporting people affected by bipolar — including individuals, carers, families and loved ones. Over one million people in the UK live with bipolar disorder, yet many experience symptoms for years before receiving an accurate diagnosis.

 Purpose:  The Peer Support Officer role will work within Bipolar UK’s Peer Support Line team to support our community through telephone and email support across the UK.

The role involves using your skills and knowledge to support people affected by bipolar disorder with support requests and providing information and signposting to people via email and telephone. The successful applicant will also manage service reports in Salesforce, report back regularly to the management team, as well as developing links with other mental health services or appropriate agencies.

Though Bipolar UK does not offer Crisis Support, the successful applicant may have to direct members of our community experiencing a crisis to relevant services and will also be responsible for recognising and reporting Safeguarding incidents within the bounds of Bipolar UK’s Safeguarding Policies.

The position requires good personal interaction and the ability to empathise with service users while remaining calm and considered in sometimes difficult situations.  This is a varied and hands on role and we are looking for someone with good communication (verbal and written) along with good organisational skills. Bipolar UK will offer the successful applicant regular support and engagement with the team, as well as reflective practice sessions throughout their service with the charity.

The Peer Support Officer reports to the Services Manager who manages this service. This will be a home-based role with occasional travel, such as team days/meetings/training.

Senior Events and Community Fundraising Officer

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive community and events fundraiser with great project management and relationship building skills. You’ll be responsible for leading on a varied portfolio of fundraising activity, identifying new supporters, stewarding existing supporters and delivering community fundraising products and campaigns. 

Events and Community Fundraising is an established income stream at Breast Cancer UK but we know there is potential to grow, so we’re investing in proactively developing the area. This role is an opportunity for a talented fundraiser - with at least three years of experience working in Challenge Events and/or Community Fundraising and a strong track record of delivering results – to take a lead on these income streams and build something amazing. You’ll need a strong understanding of how to deliver excellent supporter experiences, and the ability to spot trends and opportunities aligned with our audiences and our brand, and capitalise on them. 

You will have opportunities to expand your skills and expertise and really own your area, as part of a small but mighty fundraising team. If you are highly motivated, collaborative, love building relationships and working as part of a friendly and supportive team, we want to hear from you!

What do we do? 

In the UK today, around 59,000 women and 420 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. 1 in 7 women will develop the disease at some point in their lives. 

But we believe in a future where fewer people have to face this devastating disease - because we know that at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable. 

By making changes to modifiable lifestyle and environmental risk factors, we can drive cases down. Our focus on prevention is unique - we are shining a light on the changes we can make at an individual and societal level to prevent breast cancer.

• Deliver an education programme - empowering individuals with trustworthy, science-backed information and guidance to help them understand and reduce their risk.

The Role

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, operational management and external representation for the charity. Reporting to the Chair of Trustees, you will be responsible for delivering the Board’s strategic direction and business plan, growing the supporter base, strengthening financial resilience and ensuring our campaigning remains impactful and aligned with our mission and values.

This is a varied and influential role requiring a confident, collaborative and hands-on leader who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery. You will work closely with trustees, staff, volunteers, members, supporters and external partners to help shape the future of the charity.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with:

● Senior leadership experience or aligned and transferable experience and skills in a charity, membership organisation or similar environment.

● Direct experience or transferable experience of campaigning, influencing, advocacy or policy work.

● Strong organisational leadership and operational management skills.

● Knowledge and experience of fundraising, membership growth, partnership working and charity operations.

● The ability to inspire staff, trustees, volunteers, members and supporters.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent role, offered as either:

● Part-time: 4 days per week, or.

● Full-time: 37 hours per week.

The salary is £50,000 per annum FTE, with part-time hours paid pro rata.

The role is based at Canal Wharf, Eshton Road, Gargrave, BD23 3PN, with some flexibility around working hours and location by agreement. Regular travel across the Yorkshire Dales and occasional evening and weekend working will be required. Ideally, the successful candidate will live in, or within approximately 30 miles of, the perimeter of the Yorkshire Dales.

We offer:

● 22 days annual leave, rising to 27 days after five years’ service, plus English bank holidays, pro rata for part-time hours.

● Additional paid leave over the Christmas and New Year office closure.

● An enhanced employer pension contribution of 5% via NEST.

Skills and Responsibilities 

On-Boarding & Compliance

• Coordinate all aspects of the onboarding and compliance process and ensure that the processes are completed accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner, including: issuing contracts, pre-employment compliance checks, and keying new starters/setting up new starters on the onboarding system.
• Ensure the accurate entry and maintenance of data onto the relevant HR Systems/ spreadsheets, by employing robust quality assurance and due diligence measures.

CSAN is the official agency of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice affecting people who live in England and Wales. We’re facing a steep rise in poverty and significant pressures on social, economic and church resources. Currently, the Church is called to raise a prophetic voice against poverty and the rhetoric of division and work for the building of a more just society.

Over the last 20 years, CSAN has built up a network of 50 diocesan and direct service charities with a combined annual spend on social mission estimated at £400m, excluding the work of schools and religious congregations. Our members build up local community life in diverse ways, and many of them support individuals in difficulty, including with housing, prison and detention, social isolation, ill-health, violence, disability, employment, care, therapeutic and welfare support.

The key responsibilities of the post are:

1. To scan the social policy environment to capture developments in legislation, consultation papers and Bills relevant to the Caritas network for the purpose of comprehensive tracking and briefing.

2. To deliver an effective programme of Catholic advocacy and political campaigns that contributes to the common good, with particular attention to the priorities of the dignity of workers, child poverty, social care and end of life; supporting and connecting well with the team’s other activities, and where possible with the CSAN membership’s priorities,

3. To draft campaign and advocacy materials for the range of media channels used by CSAN and support the CEO in engaging with the press and approaches from campaigning organisations including contributing to CSAN’s social media networks.

4. To provide admin support and contribute to CSAN’s Alliances as required, especially the Advocacy Alliance and the Criminal Justice Alliance with information and education on policy and legislation.

5. To ensure that our advocacy is consistent with the Bishops’ understanding of the Church’s role in society and supports the priorities of the Bishops’ Conference, especially the Department for Social Justice.

6. To act as a conduit of information and communication between the Bishops’ Conference and the CSAN members, under the guidance of the CEO, assisting CBCEW where possible in gathering information and the lived experience of poverty.

7. To develop and contribute to practice materials for the network, especially in the areas of campaigning, advocacy, social policy and formation for mission.

8. To oversee monitoring of the Catholic press and relevant wider networks for relevant articles, developments and campaigns.

9. To support the general work of CSAN as required by the CEO, including leading in the development and organisation of the charity in specific areas subject to skills and experience.

What the job involves 

As a Marketing Delivery Officer within the Integrated Marketing and Media team, you’ll play a central role in bringing communications plans to life. Working closely with colleagues across the Communications Directorate, you’ll coordinate the delivery of content and channel activity so priority communications land effectively and on time. 

You’ll oversee delivery across a wide range of channels, coordinating content outlined in communications plans and delivering against priorities set by Communications Business Partners and Product Owners. A big part of the role involves working with delivery teams to understand their lead times, briefing needs and how to get the best outcomes from collaborative working. You’ll work on projects with teams across the charity, including sector-leading virtual fundraising challenge products, sporting events such as London Marathon, in-person events like March for Men, projects to promote our support services, Corporate Partnerships and much more. You’ll also liaise with our external media agency to support the delivery of content for paid media campaigns. 

As part of cross-functional product teams, you’ll stay close to evolving priorities and take ownership of the production and delivery of communications activity. This includes copywriting, editing and reviewing content, developing creative briefs and overseeing delivery of the communications plan. You’ll coordinate asset requests, organise briefings and channel planning sessions, and help connect product teams with delivery teams so everyone is aligned and working efficiently. You’ll get to work with teams across the organisation and get to see first-hand the work we’re doing to give men the power to navigate prostate cancer.

What we want from you 

You’ll be highly organised, with the ability to calmly balance planned and reactive work while keeping a solutions‑focused mindset. You’ll be a confident communicator, comfortable translating complex or technical information into clear, engaging content for general audiences, and skilled at building trusted relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and external partners. 

You’ll bring experience of copywriting for different channels, along with copy editing and reviewing skills, and have a solid grounding in creative content production, creative briefing and ideation. Practical experience using tools such as Canva will be important, as will project management expertise and familiarity with collaboration tools like Trello or Monday. 

Strong analytical skills are essential, enabling you to quickly digest complex information and respond effectively, even when working to tight deadlines. Above all, you’ll be a collaborative team player who enjoys working across functions, engaging stakeholders and helping teams deliver their best work together.

Management and Strategy

• Support the policy portfolio of campaigns and projects across our national policy areas, including on food prices and food inflation, our Good Food Bill campaign, Healthy Start and early years.

• Develop and maintain a strong civil society network of stakeholders, working to broaden the support base for specific policies.
• Participate in coalitions of organisations who are campaigning together on specific areas of policy change.
• Develop and maintain relationships with junior civil servants in key departments across all policy areas.
• Work with the Citizens Engagement Manager to identify opportunities to bring Adult and Young Food Ambassadors into policy activities and research.
• Represent the Food Foundation and present our work in external events and meetings with relevant audiences and the media.
• Budgets and fundraising
• Administer grants which support our projects and ensure that funders are kept well informed, receive timely reports and that budgets are kept on track.
• Maintain good relationships with funders according to their requirements and provide input to proposals and funding bids.

Communications and campaigns

• Develop a comprehensive approach to dissemination of our policy outputs so they reach our intended audiences.
• Act as a local/regional media spokesperson, brief journalists, and respond to media queries.
• Contribute policy and evidence expertise to support campaign delivery.
• Contribute policy expertise to press releases, newsletters, web copy, podcasts and blogs.
• Support the maintenance of website pages related to project areas.
• Draft social media posts and newsletters.

Personal Profile

Technical skills:

• Knowledge and understanding of the food system, food and nutrition and/or health policy and policy levers for change.
• Strong knowledge of the mechanics of the UK policy-making landscape, including the workings of Westminster and Whitehall.
• Proven experience in synthesising evidence and using evidence to make a case for change.
• Proven experience in writing reports and briefings for different audiences, with the ability to explain complex and highly nuanced subject matter in plain English.
• Previous experience working in a policy role, refining policy asks and communicating these with different stakeholders
• Excellent analytic skills and close attention to detail.

Personal skills:

• Proven experience in budget management, project management and reporting to funders.
• Proven experience in managing multiple projects concurrently to tight deadlines and prioritising workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
