We’re seeking a Fundraising Officer to support the growth of all our programmes, services, and campaigns. Primarily working on a new area of trusts and foundations fundraising, including researching prospects. You will be responsible for making grant applications and updating funders, as well as providing overall support to the wider fundraising team at Humanists UK.

What you'll be doing

You'll be part of the Advancing Humanism Directorate. You'll work with our Head of Fundraising, Jess, as well as working closely with our Director of Advancing Humanism, Liam, and other members of the Communications and Marketing team.

The fundraising team is responsible for income generation including donors, campaigns, grants, and exploring new ways we can sustain and grow our fundraising. This includes planning and leading giving campaigns; donor and funder stewardship (working with the Chief Executive’s Office); developing and maintaining an income pipeline; and identifying new opportunities to diversify our income streams.

Key Tasks & Activities

Implementing and further developing Humanists UK’s grants, trusts, and foundations fundraising strategy, with key tasks including:

• Researching new funding prospects

• Maintaining and growing our funding pipeline.

• Supporting colleagues across the organisation to develop, bid for, and report on appropriate projects for funding

• Writing clear and compelling funding bids, proposals, and appeals, and produce timely, high-quality reports for funders

• Maintaining accurate records of applications, reporting schedules, project milestones, and grant income using the charity’s CRM system.

• Working with the finance team to make sure grants are administered efficiently and all income is accurately recorded

• Monitoring progress against targets, providing regular updates and income reports to the Head of Fundraising

• Supporting continuous improvement by maintaining effective systems for tracking and evaluating trust fundraising activity

• Keeping informed about developments and sector trends in fundraising

You will have strong organisational skills and be confident managing a varied workload, balancing application and reporting deadlines with funder stewardship and pipeline development needs.

You will also be a proactive and supportive team player and a self-starter. We are a small team who manage our own work, but value coming together to share ideas, support one another, and take creative risks.

As a Fundraising Systems Executive, you will play a key role in embedding our new Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, helping fundraising teams get the most out of our new systems. You will be part of a newly formed Technology team of developers, testers, and product specialists, working closely with brilliant colleagues to improve processes, manage donor data, and deliver innovative solutions.

This role suits someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can support end users with technical issues and requests while managing multiple initiatives with ease.

You will need an understanding of fundraising processes and donor management, experience with CRM systems like Dynamics 365, familiarity with campaign management and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI, and ideally a background in application support or not-for-profit organisations.

You’ll enjoy the variety of moving between reactive support and proactive delivery, helping shape the future of our fundraising systems while working alongside a clever and supportive team.

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights and feminist
organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to
supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to
violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls,
exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs, and

About the role

London-based contract with the option of hybrid working between the office and home.

In this role your expertise in industrial relations and understanding of trade unions will be critical to the CSP as it supports physiotherapy and support staff in workplaces across the UK.

You will lead the CSP’s work on Job Evaluation — championing fair pay structures by representing the profession in the NHS Job Evaluation Group, as well as developing and sharing specialist knowledge in this area with staff and reps.

Hybrid working

The CSP operates a hybrid working model, allowing employees to work between their home and the office. The Role

Be Free Campaign is a youth-led mental health charity dedicated to platforming the lived experiences of young people to destigmatise early and preventive mental health support seeking.
We work with young people across Merseyside and Manchester through schools, community spaces and events, reaching thousands of young people annually. Through our core 6 programmes, young people learn how to engage and connect with support to help them take control of their health and futures.
As the charity enters its 6th year, we are actively looking to engage with racialised and marginalised young people to understand the barriers they are facing in accessing support. 

Role purpose

The Young People’s Equity and Inclusion Officer will work to improve how mental health support includes and serves racially and otherwise marginalised young people aged 11 to 25 in Liverpool. The role focuses on generating insight, co‑producing solutions, and supporting practical changes so that support is more culturally safe, accessible, and relevant.

This is a non‑clinical role centred on outcomes rather than casework. The post holder will coordinate engagement activity, gather and interpret learning, and work with partners to turn that learning into clear tools, pilots, and recommendations for change.

About the role

CPRE Oxfordshire is an independent charity, federated with 40+ county charities and a national office, giving us local, regional and national reach.The Director will work with our Trustees and network of volunteers to formulate local strategy, run local campaigns and liaise with the National Charity.The Director is assisted by a small staff team. 

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take a strategic view on issues affecting the Oxfordshire countryside and represent CPRE Oxfordshire at County and National forums.The role also involves management of the small staff team, the oversight of our Governance including finances, reporting, budget, fundraising and volunteer management.

Responsibilities: 

The Branch Director is responsible for leading and managing the Branch’s activities and for reporting these to the Branch Chairman and Executive Committee.This includes: 

1. Policy and Strategy 

1.1 Contributing to and implementing our position statements and strategy, as agreed by the Branch Executive Committee, in order to respond effectively to Government policies, legislation and development issues affecting Oxfordshire’s countryside. 

1.2. Overseeing responses to consultations relevant to CPRE Oxfordshire. 

1.3 Maintaining good working relationships with National CPRE and other branches. 

1.4 Developing relationships with other local/national campaign groups and Parish Councils. 

2. Campaigns and projects  

2.1 Leading and managing local Branch campaigns and projects as agreed by the Board of Trustees. 

2.2 Managing Branch resources effectively to achieve campaign / project objectives, including use of the expertise of staff, branch consultants and volunteers. 

2.3 Developing new projects to align with remit of CPRE and extend the reach of the organisation 

3. Local Planning 

3.1 Enabling the Branch and District groups to respond effectively to strategic plans, local plans, neighbourhood planning, planning applications and related matters. 

3.2 Assisting with public inquiries and examinations, including preparing and presenting evidence. 

4. Membership & Fundraising 

4.1 Devising and implementing activities to increase recruitment of new CPRE members. 

4.2 Devising fundraising activities in line with agreed targets in collaboration with the membership and income generation working group. 

4.3 Promoting and maintaining active involvement of volunteers and recruiting new volunteers. 

5. Public Relations 

5.1 Ensuring CPRE Oxfordshire is promoted effectively to the public and stakeholders.

5.2. Maintaining oversight of charity communications through different media channels. 

6. Management of Staff, Volunteers, Budgets & Resources 

6.1 Leading and coordinating Branch staff and resources, in line with agreed priorities and budgets.

You will be part of a small energetic and committed team supporting the delivery of Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s philanthropy and income generation ambitions. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help grow and steward support from individuals, corporate, charitable and statutory donors, with a lead responsibility for a defined portfolio of relationships and initiatives.

Fundraising and relationship building happen across the charity, and you will manage your own portfolio of donors and partners and work with the Chief Executive and wider team to co-ordinate activity, share insight and maximise opportunities for place based philanthropy in Northamptonshire.

You will need confidence, excellent communication skills and the ability to plan and deliver projects as part of a highly collaborative team. You will be comfortable cultivating, stewarding and sometimes soliciting charitable donations yourself, as well as creating opportunities for the Chief Executive to engage with donors and prospective supporters.

Citizens Cymru Wales has developed an innovative approach to reducing youth violence with community organising at its heart, working across four unique assumptions:  

• ‘It takes a village to raise a child’  

• ‘Anger without power leads to rage’  

• ‘Recognising the need to address Adverse Community Experiences’  

• ‘If you are not at the table, you’re on the menu’  

In 2021 it developed a community led action plan to address youth violence in the neighbourhoods of Butetown and Grangetown. This work then secured £1m funding from the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) to demonstrate how community organising can improve the lives of children and young people. Across Grangetown and Butetown, almost 2500 people were listened to, and issues workshops took place from which seven interventions were identified including Mental health, Additional Learning Needs and Literacy, an Employment partnership, Sports and diversionary activities and local microgrants. Each intervention is led by a local community-based organisation. At the heart of the work is building a hyperlocal community organising alliance.  Underpinning the work is the development of a Youth Action Zone, a youth-led multi-agency partnership to support young people in the neighbourhood for the long term. The project is in its final year of delivery and needs a locally based project manager to support the current organisations to fulfil the action plan and build a long-term legacy.

Main Responsibilities 

This is a unique role, focused on project management but embedding community organising. As project organiser for Butetown and Grangetown Neighbourhood Fund you will support the project aims, enabling core partners and intervention leads to fulfil the action plan and build a legacy for the long term. Alongside this, you will develop a craft of community organising, working closely with civic organisations based in the neighbourhoods, understanding local power and building partnerships with wider stakeholders, and developing local institutions and youth leaders. All of this should ladder up to building the power of the broader Cardiff Citizens alliance. 

You will embed the ethos of community organising across the project and its legacy by: 

• developing the leadership of people within local organisations - our 'leaders' who lead the campaigns we work on 

• helping them to collectively identify the changes they want to see and create strategies to win those changes 

• strengthen institutions’ own abilities to achieve their missions. 

• Support leaders in connecting the hyperlocal work to the Cardiff Citizens alliance – developing their capacity to work with other leaders and civic institutions across the city to develop collective ambitions and actions (leading up to the 2027 Local Authority elections). 

We envisage the role to be roughly 2 days project management and 1 day Community Organising, but given the nature of the project, these will naturally bleed into one another. 

Working as the Project Organiser for Citizens UK, your main responsibilities will include: 

Career Pathways Headings 

Build and manage projects and achieve work targets effectively 

• Project manage the YEF/Citizens UK Neighbourhood Fund project in the neighbourhoods of Butetown and Grangetown

• Support the delivery of four interventions (Mental health, ALN & Literacy/Sports and Police action team) including due diligence, accountability, measurement and impact monitoring. 

• Ensure good governance; setting up stakeholder meetings and working with community leaders to develop the agenda and actions 

• Develop an understanding of place-based systems change and support system behaviours across the project, including feedback, collaborative leadership and shared power 

Develop and manage external relationships 

• Maintain and extend local relationships and partnerships with community and civic organisations and wider statutory power 

• Map and develop an ecosystem of strategic relationships at the local level

• Ensure the YEF work is embedded within the local ecosystem of support for young people.

Communications 

• Support the interventions with communicating the impact of their work individually and collectively 

• Create comms outputs that communicate the work of the YEF project for internal and external stakeholders 

• Represent the organisation effectively to external audiences in meetings and at events

Generate income and resources 

• Support the interventions to seek additional funding to continue their work beyond 2027 

• Support local organisations to increase their capacity  

Identify and develop relational leaders prepared to act with others for the common good and support them through a cycle of action and training in our curriculum 

• Conduct 5 relational one-to-ones per week 

• Identify and discern actual and potential leaders with the passion and ability to drive change

• Achieve significant development of primary and secondary leaders; nominate new leaders for training on the Citizens UK core taster curriculum and for National Training

• Attend Citizens UK 6-day training to further understanding the method of Community Organising used by CUK 

• Teach sessions of the core taster Community Organising curriculum at a local level (supported by a senior Organiser) 

Strengthen institutions and develop a broad-based neighbourhood alliance 

• Ensure good understanding of the basic interests and traditions of typical member institutions

• Support the development of the Cardiff Citizens alliance 

• Support with running institutional development campaigns in a range of organisations in the local area

Our Organisers and some project teams work closely with our member institutions and will be expected to attend member events that take place in the evenings and occasional weekends. We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive to join the Individual Giving team at Prostate Cancer UK. We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including digital, telephone and direct mail, helping fund research that will save and improve lives. 

In this role you’ll help drive forward our ambitious five-year fundraising strategy as we continue to grow income year on year to have the biggest impact for men. You will lead on our value exchange programme, working closely with the digital team and our telephone partner to continually optimise results. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across a multi-channel campaign. You will also work on wider telephone conversion campaigns and direct mail as well as other test channels with the aim of recruiting new regular and cash supporters as well as re-engaging those who have lapsed. You’ll also help develop and test welcome journeys to engage supporters with our work and make them feel valued. You’ll look for ways to test and innovate to drive the best results. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights. 

What we want from you 

Experience or knowledge of managing direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels, ideally digital, telephone or direct mail, and preferably gained from a fundraising environment.

You’ll possess first class communication and project management skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be a self-starter, with a curious nature and a keen eye for detail.Knowledge of data protection and sector compliance would also be beneficial.
