The role includes to:
- Assist in providing and developing a high quality money advice service
- Undertake specialist level money advice casework
- Provide the line management and technical supervision of project staff and volunteers
To be successful you will need:
- Experience of providing support and supervision to colleagues to aid their development and meet quality standards
- Two years recent experience as a money advice caseworker in a target driven environment
- Hold an accredited qualification in debt advice
- A commitment and understanding of the Service’s aims, principles and equal opportunities policies

In 2024, a staggering 4.1 million UK women experienced economic abuse at the hands of their current or former partner. The rising cost of living has only exacerbated the devastated impact of this form of domestic abuse.
Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it.
Since our founding in 2017, we’ve proudly campaigned successfully for the recognition of economic abuse in UK law and influenced wide-ranging systemic change to transform responses to it. We're now entering an ambitious new phase, and we’re seeking a dynamic, strategic and values-led Fundraising Director (internally known as the Head of Income) to help drive it forward.
This is a critical time for SEA. With a bold three-year strategy now in place, we’re looking for an experienced income-generation leader to oversee and diversify our income streams — across high-net-worth giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, and earned income through consultancy and training. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the Fundraising Director will play a vital role in shaping the future of the organisation and enabling us to scale our impact.
The Fundraising Director will lead a talented team, including our Senior Fundraising Manager (trusts and foundations) and Corporate Development Manager (strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships), and collaborate closely with our CEO, Trustees and earned income delivery teams (consultancy and training). Your approach will be collaborative, survivor-centred and driven by SEA’s values. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with strong experience in high-value fundraising and/or commercial income generation.

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload
• Provide practical advice to patients, assessing their needs and identifying sources of support to resolve financial, practical and psychosocial challenges.
- Activities will include creating budget plans, completing income maximisation checks and benefit claims, carrying out switching exercises and Home Energy Surveys (this is not an exclusive list of tasks)
- Responsible for identifying cases where FSA approved advice is required, and supporting patients in the referral of their case to our approved partner organisation or other appropriate regional/national services
• Act as a gateway to local information and access to:
- Kidney Care UK Patient Grants service, raising awareness of the service and supporting applications
- Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service, to ensure patients have access to reliable and accurate patient information relating to kidney disease, patient pathways, models of care, and patient choice
- Kidney Care UK Counselling Service and other appropriate services to meet patients’ emotional and physiological needs
• Work closely with local Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to ensure that patients receive expert advice in all areas of need, with smooth, effective handovers ensuring that patients feel supported and part of the Kidney Care UK ‘family’ at all times
• Maintain records on the Kidney Care UK database to support service delivery and communications with patients, and facility effective reporting to Kidney Care UK and our funders
• Raise awareness of Kidney Care UK and the benefit of its full range of Patient Support Services amongst kidney patients, their families, carers and professionals across the region

The Opportunity

You will provide communications support for Good Faith Partnership and a range of projects we deliver, including:
● The Warm Welcome Campaign for people right across the UK particularly those experiencing fuel poverty or loneliness;
● Welcome Hubs for refugees and asylum seekers;
● ChurchWorks which aims to bring the Christian Church and government closer together to effect positive change in UK society.
We anticipate that the successful candidate will spend around two-thirds of their time supporting the Warm Welcome Campaign and the remainder supporting wider Good Faith Partnership projects.
You’ll work across all aspects of communications, including design and content creation, e-marketing, social media engagement and delivery, events, website management and managing our photo and story libraries. You’ll be delivering communications to support our campaigning and influencing, fundraising, awareness raising, storytelling and brand elevation.
This is an entry level communications post. We’re looking for someone who is organised and systematic, thrives on creating engaging written and visual content, and loves working with all kinds of people. Responsibilities
Working closely with the Communications Manager and Director of Communications you will work in the following areas:
Content creation
You will help bring Good Faith’s many projects to life through engaging visuals, videos and communications materials by:
● Creating visual assets using design software such as Canva
● Creating other visual content including short-form video
● Helping commission other visually led content such as banners, flyers and reports
Social media
A significant part of the role includes increasing our reach through social media:
● Creating and scheduling regular content for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky and X
● Using insight data to drive social engagement
● Developing strategic partnerships with relevant accounts on the different social platforms
● Engaging with partners and stakeholders on social platforms—sharing stories with the wider team as standard
● Responding to posts, comments and direct messages
● Monitoring trends through social listening and sharing these with the team
Websites
You will support the Communications Manager by:
● Writing and publishing engaging stories and news items to profile the great work of the team and our projects
● Preparing copy and visuals for web pages in our CMS

● Ensuring website copy is accurate and up to date
Email newsletters
You will work with the Communications Manager to:
● Support email communications
● Help maintain the email communications database
● Create and schedule email communications, ensuring content has been approved by a team member

PR
You will support the Communications Manager in a year-round programme of PR and media relations by:
● Creating lists of contacts in our media database
● Helping to amplify our news through our email distribution platform
● Monitoring PR mentions of our projects through our media database
Supporting systems and resources
● Taking responsibility for developing and maintaining accessible communications systems
● Managing our digital image and stories library, keeping stories and case studies up to date and searchable by the rest of the team
● Securely storing and organising documents on our G-Drive, ensuring accessibility for the team and compliance with GDPR
● Supporting, maintaining and developing existing partnerships and managing the systems (including CRM use) needed for communications delivery
