About The Role

As a systems change charity that exists for the most marginalised women and girls, we are looking for a passionate, politically savvy, values-aligned person with outstanding project management skills to shape and help deliver our influencing goals and demonstrate our impact.

The aim of this newly created role is to help us influence policy, practice, perceptions and power, in order to improve systems and services for women and girls with unmet needs. This person’s ways of working will ensure the voices of women and girls, and our alliance members are at the core of our influencing work. They will ensure that the team works effectively together towards this shared goal.

Person Specification

• Commitment to social justice and to upholding the rights of women and girls. A good understanding of issues related to gender inequality and other social inequalities.

The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Global Fund Development Team with the day-to-day smooth running of activity and operations. The role holder will offer administrative support in relation to operations, communications, events, meetings, and travel. It will also offer ad-hoc project and campaign support, and administrative support to the Director of Fund Development in their leadership of the Global FD Operations team.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for a curious, compassionate and committed individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join a Stroke Recovery Service in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with stroke survivors and their families, supporting them in rebuilding their lives after stroke.

Position: S11314 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Stockport, However, regular travel will be required as part of this role

Salary: Circa £18,800 per annum (FTE circa £27,400 per annum)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Contract: Our services are contracted; we currently have funding for this contract until 31 March 2026. While continued funding beyond this date cannot be guaranteed, we have maintained regular contracts in this area for many years and are confident in the likelihood of securing future funding

The Role

The service operates in a fast-paced, person-centred environment, where Coordinators identify and respond to the evolving needs of stroke survivors and their carers. This includes delivering structured reviews at six months post-stroke, supporting stroke survivors in their ongoing recovery and helping them achieve their personal goals.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Work as part of a team to plan and deliver engaging peer support and communication groups
• Attend multi-disciplinary meetings with the local stroke therapy team, contributing to joined-up care
• Recruit, train and manage volunteers to enhance service delivery (experience in volunteer management is an advantage)
• Support stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community, offering personalised advice and guidance
• Provide resources for stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes to reduce the risk of further strokes
• Deliver Stroke Reviews at six months post-stroke

About You

You will have experience in:

• Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records
• An affinity with the values of the Stroke Association
• A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload
• A proven record of working with a person-centred approach

The health information team produces high quality, accessible health and patient information for people affected by breast cancer or worried about their breast health.  Our printed information is used by healthcare professionals across the UK and our online information includes over 200 webpages.  For this new role, we’re looking for an organised and collaborative individual to support the administration functions in the team, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and people affected by breast cancer and help monitor and report on the impact of our activity.

About you

You’re an excellent communicator with good customer services skills, who enjoys working with others. You’re organised and able to juggle multiple projects. You’ll ideally have experience of using Excel to show statistical information and are familiar with the use of a CRM database.

We’re looking for a creative and hands-on communications all-rounder to support Climate Spring across digital, brand, marketing, events and general communications.

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Head of Communications and Events as well as the Development and Events Coordinator, helping to deliver and evolve the organisation’s communications strategy. The post holder will also support communications and content creation for Climate Spring's Climate Fiction Prize, a new literary prize celebrating novels tackling the climate crisis.

This is a broad and varied role ideal for someone with a strong visual eye, excellent copywriting skills and experience across digital, social media, website and brand management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

‍Digital and Content:

• Maintain and update the Climate Spring website (Webflow).
• Draft, edit and publish content across a variety of channels, including website, social media, newsletters and events copy.
• Support the management of Climate Spring's social media channels and calendars; create and post content.
• Lead on compiling and gathering content for Climate Spring’s monthly community newsletter.
• Support social media output for the Climate Fiction Prize as needed.

‍Brand and Marketing:

• Act as brand guardian alongside the Head of Communications and Events, ensuring consistency across all communications outputs and materials.
• Support the design and production of assets for Climate Spring and the Climate Fiction Prize using Canva (social posts, invites, presentations, event materials).
• Keep up with branding and marketing trends and suggest fresh approaches to drive engagement and community building across channels.

Events Communications:

• Support the promotion and communications around Climate Spring events (in-person, online and partner-led)

• Help identify and coordinate new event opportunities.

MINIMUM ROLE CRITERIA AND SKILLS:

The Head of Social Policy leads the development of our thinking across public service reform, social security and housing.  This role develops - and is responsible for the effective delivery of a NEF-wide social policy strategy and of projects that are delivering on this strategy.  The Head of Social Policy acts as a key spokesperson for NEF and promotes our work at a local, regional and national level.

As NEF has a particular strategic focus on transforming the way policy is made so that it better reflects the lived experience of the people, communities and movements that most need change, we look to heads across our different themes to help develop and test new approaches to policy and advocacy.

The Head of Social Policy generates project ideas, oversees the development of quantitative and qualitative research, leads funding bids and manages day-to-day funder relationships.  This role leads a team which both develops our thinking on social policy and provides expertise to other teams at NEF.

For people in Enfield and Haringey who are experiencing the worst effects of the housing crisis, APAP is a vital community organisation responding to homelessness as it presents locally. 

APAP believes that nobody should face the devastation of street homelessness and everyone should have access to a safe, secure and affordable home that meets their needs.APAP’s mission is to tackle homelessness as it presents locally by addressing issues of poverty and marginalisation.  Through our services we: 

• Provide respite to those rough sleeping 

• Support individuals through and beyond housing crisis

APAP provides direct, face to face support for people in housing crisis. We are the only service of our kind in the local area, offering immediate respite and casework support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. 

APAP day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
