• Manage the development and implementation of new versions of the postgraduate curricula for our specialities.
• Establish and implement necessary quality assurance mechanisms and initiative.
• Oversee the provision of support for ancillary workforce development initiatives.
• Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest reach and impact.
• Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.

We are looking for someone who is outgoing and enthusiastic to join our Supporter Care team, who will carry out essential supporter engagement and administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials. With previous experience of providing excellent customer service, you will have the ability and confidence to communicate with a variety of people, engaging with supporters by phone, email and in writing about a wide range of enquiries. 

The Supporter Care team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is often the first point of contact in the charity for supporters, potential donors and members of the public. The Supporter Care Administrator works alongside five other team Administrators handling supporter enquiries, processing donations, and thanking supporters to ensure an excellent standard of customer care and to generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. This role reports to the Senior Supporter Care Officer (SSCO) and ensures that the team successfully deliver an efficient and a first-class supporter experience for the charity.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract, or on return of the substantive post holder, due to a secondment. This role will you to be in the office 2-3 days per week depending on business needs.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Supporter engagement

· Answering inbound telephone calls; responding to a wide range of enquiries including marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.

· Managing email enquiries, either by responding or forwarding as necessary.

· Responding to written enquiries received in the post.

· Making outbound telephone calls in order to increase the value of, or to retain supporters; including thanking, obtaining Gift Aid declarations and reactivating lapsed donors.

· Recording feedback received by the charity and assisting in the resolution of complaints.

· Champion high quality supporter care, ensuring that all supporters and members of the public have an excellent experience when contacting the charity.

 Donation processing, database and general administration

· Processing donations from telephone calls and mailings, acknowledging supporters appropriately.

· In Memoriam giving; sending out materials, processing donations and sending appropriate acknowledgements to donors, Funeral Directors, and the Next of Kin.

· Regular giving; processing new Direct Debit instructions and Standing Order payments, amending and cancelling gifts as necessary.

· Processing and thanking donations relating to regional fundraising and sporting events.

· Ensuring the integrity of the database (currently Salesforce), by amending supporter details as necessary.

· Opening and batching incoming post.

· Updating team procedures as required.

· Archiving, scanning and filing documents.

What we are looking for:

· Experience of working in a customer facing role.

· Experience of handling queries and complaints.

· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.

· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

· Engaging and professional telephone manner.

· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.

· Professional and hard-working team player.

· Outgoing, enthusiastic and able to remain calm under pressure.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. We require a Social Worker to provide high quality social work in our schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

You will work directly with children and young people, their parents, carers and schools in order to further the child’s welfare and provide the interventions necessary to enable them to use their learning opportunities to the full. You must be able to provide a non-judgemental, caring and confidential environment throughout this work to ensure the issues are addressed in an appropriate manner for all those involved.

To apply you will have experience of working with children and families and experience of direct work with children which includes supporting school staff with safeguarding. You must have competent IT skills which includes providing regular reports to the individual schools and Caritas and feedback to school staff as required. YMCA West Sussex Transitional Housing provides safe, secure accommodation for young people aged 18-25, who have been, or are at risk of homelessness. Our staff team comprises of Supported Housing Support Workers, Housing Mobile Night Workers and two Supported Housing Managers. We offer a support package alongside the accommodation to actively encourage residents into education, training, employment or voluntary work.

In delivering the role, you will work with the Deputy Supported Housing Manager and the wider housing team to provide effective day to day management of our transitional accommodation service. You will have your own caseload of residents, working creatively and effectively alongside young people to develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will contribute to the smooth and safe running of the service by providing consistency and reliability. You will have a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations. You will also support young people to safeguard themselves against abuse and risk. There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role.

This role is based on site in Horsham and will cover Transitional services across Horsham, Crawley, Burgess Hill and Worthing. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

You will already be a team player but also able to work on your own initiative, along with clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT skills.

Our mission is to help children and young people have a fair chance to be who they want to be. We do this by providing a safe home, increasing life skills and self-confidence, and improving emotional wellbeing and mental health.

You will be working as part of the West Sussex night team providing mobile support to our 24-hour services, ensuring that our transitional properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will be based at the Horsham Y Centre and will support the static night worker there during the night as well as undertaking your mobile duties. You will regularly complete building checks and monitor CCTV upkeeping health and safety regulations in accordance with YMCA DLG's policies and procedures. You will work to prevent any anti-social behaviour from impacting our neighbours and other residents. You will help to contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations.

In addition, you will work alongside other support staff to maximise the wellbeing of residents by completing one to one interventions with young people who may be experiencing mental health crisis and/or who may need medical assistance.

This is a mobile role, requiring all applicants to have a full valid, UK Driving Licence. You will also be lone working as part of the role, so you will need to be comfortable with decision making and following procedures.

You will work on four nights on, four nights off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.

Ideally you will have experience working with young people, those considered vulnerable or with multiple and complex needs along with being able to demonstrate a real passion for wanting to work with young people. You will have an understanding of the needs of single homeless clients aged 16-25 and the ability to engage, motivate and inspire, with a strong commitment to changing the life of others for the better. You will be an effective communicator who is able to deliver robust, clear handovers and build strong relationships with other members of your team. In addition, you will have the ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.
