Young Citizens is recruiting two Programme Coordinators to help deliver our UK education programmes, one with a focus on Events Coordination, and the other on School Engagement. Role snapshot

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Young Citizens in one of two key Programme Coordinator roles, each helping to deliver our national education programmes.

• As Programme Coordinator – Event and Project Lead, you’ll oversee the planning and delivery of around 65 events each year, from mock trials and school workshops to teacher training and sector-facing events, ensuring every detail contributes to a high-quality experience for young people, educators, and volunteers. In addition to event delivery, the role also involves leading key projects that support programme development and growth.
• As Programme Coordinator – Schools Engagement Lead, you’ll be the main point of contact for over 480 secondary schools, managing registrations, communications, and support to ensure smooth, engaging participation across our programmes.

Both roles are vital to our mission of empowering young people through active citizenship. You’ll play a hands-on role in shaping a well-established charity as we deliver on our 3-year strategy, with opportunities to facilitate workshops and mock trials, coordinate programme delivery, and build strong relationships with stakeholders. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team where clear processes, adaptability, and a passion for social impact are key to success.

Supported Accommodation Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join Depaul UK to help us to set up and develop our new Supported Lodgings service in Cheshire West and Chester.

Position: Supported Lodgings Coordinator

About the Role

The Supported Lodgings service provides long term placements for 16 and 17 year old young people with care experience in the homes of vetted and trained Community Hosts. This service will provide structured support packages enabling young people to develop a range of skills as they move towards independent living.

The role is a busy and varied one. You will be responsible for ensuring all young people referred to the service, are assessed, supported and placed effectively with their hosts. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment, training and management of hosts, as well as promoting the service to key stakeholders, and supporting young people directly.

Your work will be underpinned by Depaul’s Endeavour model of assets-based, psychologically informed delivery. The aim of this is to ensure that every young person leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

Working under the direction, guidance and support of the Greater Manchester Prevention Services Manager you will be responsible for young people needing longer-term placements, as well as sharing responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all hosts and staff at the service.

Key responsibilities include:

· First point of contact for young people and referral partners.

· Assess needs and risks, ensuring suitable safeguarding and placements.

· Arrange young people’s stays, ensuring support and a welcoming environment.

· Ensure health and safety through regular checks and reporting.

· Provide regular support and planning sessions for young people

· Support young people in preparing for independent living and long-term housing.

· Participate in a 24-hour on-call service.

· Promote and expand the Supported Lodgings service.

 

About You

You will need to have the following skills and experience:

· Experience and an understanding of working with Care Leavers, young people experiencing homelessness, unaccompanied asylum seekers or people in crisis

· Experience in supporting young people with their support needs, working closely with other key professionals.

· Experience in writing, implementing and evaluating risk assessments

· Experience in supervising or supporting hosts or staff

· An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way

· Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures and follow them through to the conclusion

· High-level understanding of professional boundaries and ability to maintain them

· Effective collaborative working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to effectively reflect on own practices for ongoing learning and development

Key Responsibilities  

1) Membership and Engagement 

• Support the implementation of a membership engagement plan to help increase retention and highlight member value. 

• Help promote Imkaan’s membership offer and communicate its unique value to members.

• Work with colleagues to ensure member voices shape Imkaan’s influencing work including through policy consultations, parliamentary events, and campaigns.

2) Member Services and Development 

• Help coordinate training sessions, and peer networks for member organisations.

• Coordinate day-to-day member engagement, responding to enquiries, providing information, and connecting members with relevant support 

• Maintain and regularly update the membership database, relationship records, and internal tracking systems

• Plan and coordinate member-only events and forums, including peer learning spaces, reflective practice sessions, and policy roundtables

Essential Experience

Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham (CAHF) is a busy, dynamic award winning Service. We deliver a variety of projects via face to face and digital media.  

Since 2012 we have delivered a volunteer led community library service at Avonmore library.  In April 2024 we embarked on running a second community focused library at Askew Road. To support CAHF community library delivery at both libraries, we introduced the role of Community Library Coordinator.  

Purpose of the Role:

In addition to traditional library duties—such as managing stock inventory and delivering storytime sessions for under-5s—the Community Library Coordinator plays a key role in positioning the library as a vibrant hub within the local area. The library offers a diverse programme of activities for users of all ages throughout the week. Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Coordinator will oversee and help develop engaging library events, while also supporting the dedicated volunteers who contribute to the successful delivery of our community-focused services.

About You:

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with enthusiasm for working in the library sector. You should be confident in promoting the library service and delivering excellent customer service to a diverse range of users. While previous library experience is desirable, it is not essential.

The roles require:

• A good level of community awareness, with experience of working with diverse communities

• An interest in literacy and reading
• The ability to recruit, induct, and support library volunteers in service delivery
• Confidence in providing digital support to library users

About the Role

As our Housing Coordinator you will ensure The Angelou Centre’s refuge accommodations continue to be a safe and welcoming safe for women. You will ensure we comply with statutory building, property and Health & Safety obligations.  Refuge Management

• Ensure that the refuge (dispersed accommodation) provides a safe supportive and welcoming environment in compliance with UK housing laws and the requirements of registered social landlords.
• To ensure completion of all necessary forms including housing and welfare benefit forms. 
• To liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies and networks, e.g. Housing Benefit -Networks/Housing agencies

Role Description

The role of a programme coordinator is ensuring the smooth running of all programme related events. This will include having a full understanding of all the SEO London programmes; understanding the relevant industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students, young professionals and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme. In coordination with the programme managers and other programme coordinators, will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student and young professional experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all participants.

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS

• Responsible for the overall administration all participants events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities page and weekly newsletter 

 
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the participants - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO London
• Responsible for managing participants query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events
• Responsible for managing the programme inbox (where applicable)
• Responsible for identifying creative and innovative ways to connect, educate and train participants and students.
• Provide oversight of cv support, screening, and recruitment preparation 
• Responsible for attending campus events and representing SEO London professionally with knowledge and enthusiasm
• Organise mentoring and buddying allocations 

QUALITY ASSURANCE

• Responsible for ensuring that all information relating to the events and participant data is managed within the GDPR guidelines and is updated in Salesforce effectively for tracking purposes. Responsible for running reports to track and monitor events from the CRM

The role

As Team Coordinator, you’ll provide first-class administrative support to a welcoming and dynamic fundraising team. Your responsibilities will include:

Purpose of the Role  

The Policy Coordinator plays a key role in delivering high-quality, intersectional policy analysis and supporting Imkaan’s strategic advocacy. Grounded in Black feminist and anti-racist values, the role ensures our work reflects the lived experiences of Black and Minoritised women and girls. 

The postholder will draft policy positions, respond to consultations, produce briefings, and monitor political and sector developments.  
Working closely with the Policy and Research Manager and wider team, they will help shape national debates and influence government and stakeholder engagement. 

This role requires creativity, analytical strength, and commitment to social justice. The desired candidate will be politically engaged, detail-oriented, and passionate about using policy to shift power and drive change. 

 Key Responsibilities  

 1. Policy Research, Analysis, and Development 

• Monitor and assess political, legislative, and social developments relevant to violence against women and girls (VAWG), with a particular focus on the experiences and needs of Black and Minoritised women and girls. 

• Conduct horizon scanning to track emerging policy trends, legislation, consultations, and other developments affecting the Black and Minoritised women’s sector. 

• Analyse national and regional policy environments to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for strategic influence and sector sustainability. 

• Produce clear, timely, and well-structured policy briefings, consultation responses, and position papers on VAWG, racial justice, and structural inequality. 

• Lead or contribute to consultation responses, parliamentary inquiries, and government engagement opportunities to ensure Imkaan’s voice and expertise inform relevant policy processes. 

• Conduct desk-based research and support analysis of member experiences, service data, and lived experience evidence to strengthen the evidence base for advocacy. 

• Maintain a library of policy resources and an up-to-date bank of statistics and evidence to support internal and external use. 

2. Advocacy and External Sector Engagement 

• Use policy analysis to inform and shape advocacy strategies, campaigns, and public engagement work. 

• Develop and maintain relationships with policy makers, researchers, academics, and allied organisations. 

• Represent Imkaan in relevant external meetings, networks, roundtables, and events. 

• Contribute to debates and dialogue by articulating well-evidenced, feminist-informed policy perspectives. 

• Deliver policy briefings, workshops, and training sessions for Imkaan members and partners.
