About the vacancy

In this role, you will support a steering group of volunteer parents and carers who oversee the running of the Forums.  Your excellent organisational skills will ensure parents and carers have a voice at key local meetings, plus you will arrange monthly events for parents and carers such as workshops with key local decision-makers.  You will provide opportunities for parents and carers to develop their own networks of support through WhatsApp & social media, and oversee the publication of bi-annual newsletter. Each year, you will use your analytical skills to measure the impact the Forum is having on the lives of its members and recommend areas for development to the steering group, always seeking to improve the service and reach more families.  

You will line-manage a Forum Administrator who will support you and the work of the Forums. 

This important role forms part of our charity’s strategic offer to local parents and carers.  You will join our senior team plus you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the wider work of the charity such as by attending fun community fundraising activities, working with our partners, and enjoying our social events.

You will receive our mandatory training in safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality, equal opportunities & diversity and mental health, plus more technical training including risk assessment and first aid.

About the role

This role will support Kinship to operate as an effective charity by ensuring effective day-to-day operations and seamless delivery of the People function at the charity.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive management team to design, develop and embed a high-quality HR function to support the employee life cycle.

• Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes relating to people and culture, work effectively, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

• Responsible for all People matters, ensuring they are handled fairly and consistently in line with policies and procedures.

• Support and advise line managers on People, EDI and change management activities, including promotions, disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures.

• Organise line manager training to ensure line managers understand their responsibilities and apply policies consistently.

• Responsible for the candidates’ recruitment experience. Ensure candidates receive a consistent and professional recruitment experience.

• Responsible for job descriptions, person specifications, recruitment packs and job adverts.

• Ensure offboarding processes are robust and implemented consistently to safeguard the charity’s assets and to comply with Data Protection rules.

• Lead on the delivery and growth of the ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’ scheme, driving growth in the scheme and the number of bronze, silver and gold partners

• Ensure Kinship role models ‘Kinship Friendly’ employment practices and seek opportunities to share these as examples with other HR professionals.

• Support fundraising efforts with corporate supporters who are ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’

Essential criteria includes:

About the role:

Join the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) as our E-learning Project Manager for the Radiology Integrated Training Initiative (R-ITI) — and help shape the future of radiology education across the UK and beyond.
We’re redeveloping one of the most respected radiology e-learning programmes in the world — R-ITI — and we need a driven, strategic and organised Project Manager to bring it to life.

In this 18-month fixed-term role, you’ll oversee the full lifecycle of over 300 digital learning modules. You’ll collaborate with the Learning Development Manager, the Learning Technologist and the e-learning faculty comprising Subject Matter Experts (SMEs – who are doctors) while undertaking the project to relaunch these essential resources on our new Learning Management System (LMS).

You’ll not only be supporting radiologists in their professional development but you’ll also play a key role is helping ensure the offering is financially sustainable, enabling us to reinvest in growing our influence and impact globally.

What you’ll do 

• Oversee the entire life cycle of selected R-ITI modules marked for redevelopment, from establishing SME groups to review and update content, to working with learning technology colleagues to produce and publish them on time and within budget on RCR’s LMS. 
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and objectives and provide support to the working groups whilst they redevelop the modules. 
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and resource allocation.
• Be responsible for overall quality control of newly developed content by working collaboratively with SMEs and learning technology colleagues to create accurate, engaging and effective e-learning content for our members. 
• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of SMEs, internal or externally sourced e-learning developers, designers, and quality assurance testers.
• Be the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing necessary support, troubleshooting queries and ensuring strategically sound decisions are made.
• Manage project budgets and promptly report any potential spending variances to the Learning Development Manager.

• Excellent project management skills with evidence of delivering complex projects to the highest of standards, on time and on budget
• Experience of working with busy stakeholders, especially those who work on a voluntary basis
• Experience of developing e-learning content and working with digital learning platforms

Lia's Wings are looking to appoint a Fundraising Manager into a brand new role, at an incredibly exciting time for the charity. As the only aeroplane ambulance charity for children in the UK, we are experiencing a period of phenomenal growth, with incredible opportunities and potential for fundraising. 

Being responsible for the management and delivery of our challenge events, special events and community fundraising activities, this role will involve working with some of our most committed supporters on a series of engaging (and fun) events that are continuing to grow year on year. The Fundriasing Manager will also be expected to support our corporate partners, and engage with our Family Fundraising efforts, giving them the opportunity to meet, and work with our incredible beneficiaries first-hand. 

A hybrid role: this post will be mostly remote but will involve travelling to regular (fortnightly) team meetings in central London (Zone 1), or, our operating base at Biggin Hill Airport, and, to manage events across the UK throughout the year. 

The perfect candidate for this role will have experience of managing various types of fundraising events, but first and foremost, we are looking for a consummate fundraiser who is passionate about stewarding fundraisers. We are looking for a fundraiser who can think outside the box, solve problems, and support supporters, donors and fundraisers of all levels, to ensure we maximise every opportunity we receive. 

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role will be integral to the growth of Lia's Wings, and is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a role at a small charity, where their efforts will make a real difference.

Over the last year we have had more people than ever before hoping to fundraise for Lia’s Wings, which has given rise to some fantastic new events being created (led by the charity), alongside several wonderful community-led partnerships with schools and social clubs around the UK.

Every year we also have a great uptake in classic charity challenges taking place both in the UK, and overseas, including the London Landmarks and Royal Parks Half Marathon, and the Berlin and Chicago Marathons. We have also had great success delivering our own, bespoke charity challenges, which we hope will continue into the future. For 2025, we are due to complete the second instalment of an annual Lia’s Wings Overseas Cycle Challenge, a Shark dive, Skydive and three peaks challenges, amongst many others, which this role would be expected to lead on, and develop for years to come.

Corporate Partnerships are one of our key income streams, with employees from dozens of companies supporting our events efforts. As well as managing these events, there would be a certain level of devolved account management with these partners, with the post holder becoming the primary point of contact for those firms.

We also have a growing network of community groups – including schools and social groups – who want to support Lia’s Wings as a partner charity. It is an area we would love to expand, with this role being crucial to the ongoing development of these areas.

And finally: for the past two years we have we also hosted a seasonal thank you party each Christmas (our “Jingle and Mingle”) which we hope will be another fantastic opportunity that can be developed by the right person in this role, as a real jewel in the crown of our events portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• To manage our Challenge, Community, and Special Event fundraising streams, to achieve set targets.
• To grow income sustainably from our existing portfolio of events, ensuring continued high performance, engagement, and participation.
• To design, develop, and deliver new events that are suitable for our primary supporter audiences, alongside the Head of Fundraising.
• To effectively steward fundraisers to ensure an excellent supporter experience (resulting in positive fundraising performance, and repeat year on year participation), including appropriate thanking and recognition, reporting, and feedback on outcomes of events.
• To assume account management responsibility for smaller corporate and community partnerships (primarily engaged with the charity through events fundraising)
• To ensure a strong (in-person) team and volunteer presence at events.
• To support the Head of Fundraising on the delivery of our Corporate and Community Partnerships.
• To support our Family Support Team with the delivery of our Family Fundraising programme
• To build strong relationships with existing and potential stake holders, including event committees, and Trustees of the charity.
• To proactively manage event income and expenditure budgets, monitoring and reporting to the Head of Fundraising to support forecasting and budgeting processes, including monthly reconciliation.
• To manage all stock, consumables and promotional items related to these areas of fundraising.
• To maintain comprehensive recording-keeping relating to these areas of fundraising with existing tools including our CRM system, Salesforce.
• To attend fortnightly team meetings (in person) in London, and to attend other compulsory training days or events as required
• To support the Head of Engagement in preparing digital assets, including news pieces, photography, videography, and fundraiser case studies for our website and social media
• To ensure all practices meet statutory legislation requirements including the Data Protection Act, and Fundraising Code of Practice.

Our Product and Systems Management team are responsible for: defining our product vision; setting the product strategy; and executing on it by delivering new functionality that meets customer needs and supports business goals.

Across all of our products our Product and Systems Management team cover the following areas:

• Being fully responsible for the provision and management of the system
• Owning the list of user requirements. These are known as product backlog items (PBIs) and are drawn from user group meetings/discussions. These PBIs are then scheduled for build and release. 
• Manage the relationship with any external support companies for the relevant products and interconnected products and systems including accounting online, bank checking and deduping systems.
• Manage the data cleanliness, accessibility, availability and retention in accordance with our data governance and security policies particularly the information and data management framework. And develop and maintain automated processing of bulk data.
• Enshrine continuous improvement into the use and development of our Products.

Our use of Product Management comprises of all of our critical business systems (Finance, HR, Intranet, Microsoft end user applications).

Our Head of Product and Systems Management plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of our Product and Systems Management. This role is also responsible for defining and delivering the Product and Systems Management team’s strategy/roadmap and ensure they are delivered.

• To assist and encourage Companions to move into independent accommodation where appropriate
• Ensure that effective Safeguarding systems are in place and maintained, acting as the organisation’s Designated Safeguarding Person, with delegated responsibility for policy development, implementation, and reporting.
• Working in partnership with the Retail Manager, facilitate, encourage, and support companion engagement and training within the social enterprises to ensure they are viable businesses.
• Assist the Multi Site Property and Facilities Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of the Community, to ensure that it provides a pleasant and comfortable home for the Companions, whilst adhering to health and safety requirements.

As a Caseworker, you’ll work directly with unpaid carers, providing a vital mix of practical advice, emotional support, and advocacy. From conducting statutory carer assessments to organising support groups and events, your work will ensure that carers feel recognised, valued, and supported in all aspects of their role.
 
You will engage with carers via various channels - phone, email, text, face-to-face, and group settings - ensuring inclusivity and accessibility. This is a multi-faceted role that blends frontline casework with community engagement and strategic development.
 
Main responsibilities of the role include:
 
Direct Support to Carers: 

• Deliver comprehensive carer assessments in line with the Care Act 2014, and co-produce tailored support plans
• Identify and assess eligibility for Carers Personal Budgets and assist with the application process
• Provide accurate and empathetic information, advice, and guidance on carers’ rights, benefits (e.g. PIP, Carer’s Allowance, Attendance Allowance), housing, and local services
• Act as a listening ear and a source of emotional reassurance for carers navigating challenges and crises
• Liaise with Local Authorities, NHS providers, and voluntary agencies to advocate for carers and coordinate support
• Make appropriate referrals and ensure follow-ups are completed

Identification and Outreach: 

• Lead proactive outreach efforts to identify new carers, particularly those from underrepresented or vulnerable communities
• Build and nurture collaborative relationships with GPs, hospitals, primary care teams, and community organisations
• Raise awareness of unpaid carers and the charity’s services through campaigns and community presence
• Contribute to the development of internal strategies and external policies that reflect the needs and voices of carers

Administration & Case Management:

• Maintain high-quality records using internal systems (Charity Log) and the Mosaic Local Authority database
• Register new carers and ensure timely updates to service user records
• Prepare case summaries and contribute to internal and external reports for management, commissioners, and funders
• Ensure data compliance, confidentiality, and GDPR adherence at all times

Team & Organisational Development:

• Act as a lead on specific areas of knowledge (e.g., benefits, outreach) and share expertise across the team
• Attend regular team meetings, supervision, and 1:1s, contributing to a positive and solution-focused culture
• Participate in ongoing training and staff development opportunities

The Successful Candidate:

Experience of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of need
Managing a personal caseload, including detailed case note keeping
Providing advice and support in a frontline or community setting
Exposure to the health and social care sector (voluntary experience welcomed)
Background working within mental health/supportive settings working with vulnerable people
 
Skills and Abilities:
 
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Skilled in using Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems (training will be given on Mosaic)
Excellent verbal and written communication, including report-writing
Creative and proactive with a solutions-focused mindset
 
Knowledge:
 
Familiarity with the Care Act 2014 and its implications for carers
Understanding of welfare benefits (especially PIP, Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance)
Awareness of housing issues, safeguarding, and equality legislation

The role
