About the role

You have a strong track record of delivering group workshops and presentations and collaborate with others to get the job done.

Purpose of the post
To encourage the development of local churches’ response to poverty and social justice across the Diocese of Manchester, with a focus on developing sustainable projects that look to address the root causes of poverty.
To identify and link with existing community groups working on issues relating to poverty and social justice.
To help parishes work together with other sectors and stakeholders, encouraging collaboration and partnerships.
To encourage a movement for change, encouraging churches to engage with practical action, advocacy and systems change.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Development and Delivery
- Work with the CEO of Greater Together Manchester to develop a work plan for engaging with existing parish based social justice projects and initiatives, with a focus on shifting from crisis response to prevention.
- Provide a range of development support to new projects and initiatives.
- Be the contact person for parishes seeking advice and support on addressing issues of social justice.
- Keep up to date with the work of national, regional and local organisations and charities that work in this space, as well as keeping up to date with government policies, initiatives and communicating these effectively to parishes and communities.
- Develop effective monitoring and evaluation systems that demonstrate the impact of GTM’s development work.
Revitalisation and Promotion of Church-Based Social Justice Work
- To be an informed and knowledgeable advocate and champion for issues of social justice.
- To meet with leaders from churches across the Diocese to assess their social justice work and offer support and guidance where necessary.
- Raise the profile of church based social justice initiatives and project across the Diocese and amplify the effectiveness and impact of the work of churches in tackling social injustice.

Person Specification
Experience:
- Experience of working with church and community-based groups and projects
- Track record of building successful partnerships and working relationships with people at all levels, including people with lived experience
- Experience of working with volunteers and grassroots community leaders
- Facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to lead workshops, training sessions, and discussions
- Experience of developing and implementing robust monitoring and evolution frameworks and keeping accurate records

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to bring struggling children hope and a future. Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences. In this role we are looking for individuals with an accredited coaching qualification that thrive working with children and young people in a school context and are passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for creativity whether this is music and drama, sport and outdoor recreation or other fields of kinaesthetic development. The TLG Therapeutic Coach will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents/carers too, so we're looking for an individual who can build and foster strong relationships.

This key role within the Insights team has a focus on delivering marketing selections, implementing supporter journeys, and delivering insights on fundraising, communications and engagement performance.
You'll collaborate closely with the Insights Manager to deliver marketing selections and supporter journeys, as well as analysis and insights that deepen our understanding of our clients and supporters. Your work will ensure that our Data Strategy supports our vision for trusted, accessible information that positively impacts the lives of pets and the people who look after them.
You will have the opportunity to problem solve and experiment to help us drive forward our data maturity, all whilst being a part of a friendly, welcoming and collaborative team. The Insights team provide the metrics, reports and analysis that underpin evidence-based decision making at Blue Cross, and ensure reporting adheres to all legislative and regulatory requirements and quality and integrity standards.
About you
You will be an experienced marketing selections and insights professional with deep understanding and knowledge of data insights tools, systems, processes, and methodologies that you can apply quickly. You will have experience of segmenting and selecting individuals for communications journeys, ideally within the charity sector. You will enjoy learning and working with new software, and you’ll have a can-do approach.
You will be confident, proactive, and articulate in promoting data, insights and the benefits of evidence-based decision making.
Competent in using various analytical tools and techniques, you will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively analyse complex data from diverse sources.
Your effective verbal, written and presentation skills will enable you to work with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels of an organisation, and to negotiate, influence, engage and quickly build credibility with colleagues and external parties.
Knowledge, skills, and experience
- Experience producing interactive reporting and dashboards for different levels of management within the organisation, using Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
- Experience of marketing selection processes
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience in effectively communicating analysis findings and producing user-friendly content for different audiences.
- Confidence working with large and diverse datasets, gathering relevant supplementary data and analysing and interpreting this data to generate insights
- Proven interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, influence and quickly build credibility with colleagues and external parties.
- Ability to convey complex ideas and methodologies to engage an audience, clearly and with impact.
Although not essential, it would be great if you had:
- Experience working for a charity or not for profit.
- Microsoft Power BI experience
- Experience using marketing selection software such as the Apteco suite (FastStats and PeopleStage)
- Expertise in writing SQL queries
- Experience using data warehouses, relational databases and analysis packages, and working with large and complex datasets.
- Experience in working with insights across the customer journey and embedding in an organisation.
Full support and training will be given for any software we use that is new to you.

Support Worker with additional driving duties – Children's Services
£25,412 - £25,837 per annum, pro rata (£13.17 - £13.39 per hour) plus an additional £1000 per annum for the driving element of the role and the opportunity for an additional £1575 per annum for undertaking additional responsibilities pro rata.
As a Support Worker Driver, you will be using company owned vehicles (up to nine seater), where you will assist the people we support to access the local community, medical appointments, family contact and activities.

Role overview
Our client is recruiting a number of Support Workers who are passionate about supporting disabled children and adults. You will be working in a team based in either one of their Children's Homes supporting up to 4 children with Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability and/or complex health needs
They aim to transform the lives of children and young adults they support through their commitment to excellence.
The work is challenging but, as no two days are ever the same, it is rewarding and enjoyable.
Contracts
They offer a range of contract types.
Full Time - Average 37 hours per week (with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts). Working hours will be averaged out over a three week rolling period and will include both weekday and weekend shifts arranged by managers. Sleep in shifts will also be required on a rota basis for which an additional flat rate payment is made.
Weekend - 16, 21.5 or 29 hours per week (with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts). Weekend contracts can be worked between Friday night and Sunday night. Occasional sleep in shifts may be required.
Training
Staff will receive all the training they require to fulfil their role. Training takes place during weekdays and staff must be available to attend introductory mandatory training and refresher training as required. Training dates are issued in advance.
NVQs – staff who do not have an equivalent or higher qualification are required to complete a relevant NVQ qualification within two years of commencing employment. This is paid for by them and full support to complete the qualification is given.
