The Role

‘There for You’ is the union’s own charity providing help and support to members who are facing financial hardship or other difficulties in their personal lives.

We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and organised Support Worker to join our team on a temporary basis to support the delivery and administration of welfare services to UNISON members across a range of activities.

This role will include responding to incoming queries by email or phone, signposting to and delivering relevant information to UNISON members seeking help and advice. In most instances, you will be the first point of contact so you must have good telephone and communication skills and be able to respond to queries in a sensitive and positive manner.

You will also need to be able to work in a team environment and provide administrative support to the wider team when required. Your role will include data input as well as assisting with specific initiatives including our small grants programme supporting UNISON members who are in financial difficulties and more.

Able to work to deadlines and under pressure, you will have a high standard of accuracy and be confident in using your own initiative.

You will enjoy being part of a small team where the focus is on ensuring UNISON members receive the highest possible standards of service and support and in accordance with our policies and the legal requirements on confidentiality.

We support survivors of sexual violence across twelve South London boroughs through counselling, advocacy, group work, education, and professional training.

About the Role

You will lead and manage our CYP counselling, play therapy, and trauma-informed services, ensuring high-quality clinical delivery and strategic development. This role includes strategic development of CYP, clinical leadership of all delivery, supervision oversight, safeguarding responsibility, service improvement, and management of CYP budgets and reporting.
 

About You

You will bring:

• A counselling/psychotherapy qualification (accredited or equivalent experience).
• Significant post-qualification experience, including 600+ supervised hours.
• At least 3 years’ clinical work with children and young people affected by sexual violence.
• Strong experience in clinical leadership and team development.
• In-depth safeguarding knowledge and experience working within the violence against women and girls sector.
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice and a commitment to feminist principles.

About the Role

In this newly created role, you will work directly with the CEO, providing oversight and direction to Team Leaders to ensure that services operate effectively and meet contractual requirements. You will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Buckinghamshire, with the ability to make an impact quickly.  You’ll bring proven hands-on experience in a similar role working with a team to establish effective and innovative ways to deliver services. 
 

Main Responsibilities 

1. Strategic and Operational Leadership

·       Hold overall accountability for service performance and quality, working through the Adult, Young and Hospital Carers Team Leaders who lead day-to-day operations 

·       Ensure alignment with our strategic priorities and our commissioned outcomes.

·       Contribute as an active member of the Senior Management Team, supporting organisational strategy, planning and delivery.

·       Ensure that all carer services operate cohesively, with smooth transitions between age groups and consistent quality standards.

·       Use data and feedback to drive service improvement and innovation.

2. Service Delivery and Quality

·       Oversee the effective management of the Adult, Young, Young Adult and Hospital teams.

·       Embed a culture of high performance, reflective practice and continuous learning.

·       Ensure strong safeguarding practices are central in all services

·       Ensure systems are used consistently for case management, data recording and reporting.

·       Work with the Diverse Communities Worker and other leads to ensure services are inclusive, culturally sensitive and responsive to the needs of underrepresented groups 

·       Oversee the effective involvement of volunteers within carer services, working with the Volunteer Manager to ensure they are well-supported, trained and valued as integral members of the team.

3. People Leadership and Team Development

·       Foster collaboration and a supportive team culture built on the Carers Bucks values.

·       Line-manage and support the three Team Leads, ensuring clarity of priorities, effective supervision and professional growth.

·       Support wellbeing, resilience and a sense of shared purpose across teams.

4. Safeguarding

·       Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for Carers Bucks, providing advice and guidance to staff on safeguarding issues, ensuring compliance with policy and statutory requirements, and escalating concerns appropriately.

·       Maintain oversight of all safeguarding cases across the organisation and support Team Leaders in their DDSL responsibilities.

5. Partnership and Representation

·       Provide strategic coordination across thematic leads (Diverse Communities, Hospitals, Volunteers) to ensure alignment and shared priorities across services 

·       Represent Carers Bucks strategically with partners across social care, education and health. 

·       Support the CEO in relationships with commissioners, primary and secondary care, schools and VCSE partners to enhance identification and referral of carers.

·       Champion the voice of carers of all ages through partnership boards, networks and other forums.

6. Performance, Impact and Reporting

·       Monitor performance against contract outcomes, KPIs and quality standards.

·       Work with our Data Lead to ensure accurate reporting and a strong evidence base for our work. 

·       Analyse trends and learning to inform service design and improvement.

·       Contribute to quarterly and annual reports for commissioners and trustees.

·       Provide effective feedback upwards to the CEO.

7. Organisational Contribution

·       Contribute to strategic planning, risk management and organisational development.

·       Represent Carers Bucks at events, conference and key campaigns 

·       Lead on the co-design of new approaches, including digital and preventative models.

·       Stay abreast of local and national developments in carers’ policy and practice.

·       Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Chief Executive.

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for sessional farm assistants who will support the Farm Lead in delivering the vision for the farm by supporting the delivery of the farm’s variety of activities, including:

 · To deliver youth activities on the farm, supporting young people to help care for the animals

· To deliver birthday parties on weekends to groups of up to 30,

· To deliver animal experiences, giving families the opportunity to meet and greet our rescued and rehomed animals

· To support our adult day service with caring for our animals

· To support with the animal cleaning and feeding rota, alongside groups or individuals.

· To support with the running of our café, which runs on the weekends. Working alongside our youth volunteers to serve refreshments and food.

About the Role

As Team Leader, you will assist the Manager in the running of a 16+ semi-independent supported accommodation service, supporting the delivery of high quality transition services for young people that promote their independence and increase their life skills.

What you'll do:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication

The Role

As Warehouse Asssistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and effective operation of Yorkshire Cancer Research’s warehouse.  Supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will focus on accurately picking, packing and preparing donated stock for distribution to retail outlets or beneficiaries. 

This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting the flow of goods that ultimately attracts the funds needed to deliver life-saving research and services across Yorkshire.

Specifically, you will:

• Accurately pick stock from order lists that are sent to the Warehouse.
• Pack goods securely and appropriately for transport to Shops, Beneficiaries or Head Office.
• Pick, prepare and ship parcels for dispatch.
• Accept and put away deliveries from both external suppliers and our Donation Centre. 
• Ensure stock is organised and accessible at all times.
• Assist with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Safely and efficiently load vans at the end of each day with the required stock.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Use equipment (eg. Trolleys, pallet jacks) safely and responsibly and in line with the training provided.
• Work collaboratively with other warehouse employees and volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with the Warehouse Operations Manager regarding stock levels and issues.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be Ideally educated to GCSE or equivalent, or able to demonstrate experience in a similar role at a similar level.
• To be familiar with Microsoft Office and the use of technology.
• To have experience of working across teams and supporting multiple stakeholders.
• The role includes manual handling duties, and therefore, you must be able to safely and confidently conduct manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE.

• Be the Programme Manager for The Cumbrian Way programme including:

o Working closely with the Programme Director to ensure all aspects of programme management are undertaken

o Accountability for the adherence to the Programme Management Office’s programme management systems to assess and ensure budget, risks, issues, progress and impact are reported and escalated in a timely and appropriate manner

o Coordinating the project managers across the programme

o Have oversight of all aspects of the programme in order to make connections and insights into the work as it progresses.

• Support the Church Planting Consultant with project management of the Church Plant workstream, including:

We are seeking a Trusts & Major Gifts Senior Fundraising Manager to expertly cultivate and steward T&F and HNWI relationships to secure new and existing funding opportunities.

Position

As part of the Fundraising Team, you will play a pivotal role in driving ShareAction’s fundraising strategy and enabling the organisation to deliver its mission. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will lead your own portfolio of high-value trusts and foundations, securing major multi-year partnerships that underpin the organisation’s work. You will also play a key role in developing our major gifts programme, cultivating relationships with high-net-worth individuals and bringing six- and seven-figure philanthropic support on board.

You will be building on the momentum of our fundraising growth, playing a vital role in supporting the organisation’s sustainability and enabling us to deliver even greater impact in a ‘transition’ year where we are launching our new five-year strategy.

A typical week will involve researching and identifying new prospects, managing and deepening relationships with existing donors, and developing compelling propositions aligned with ShareAction’s five-year strategy. You will collaborate with colleagues across teams, ensuring a coordinated and strategic approach to fundraising and keeping senior staff and trustees informed of pipeline and cultivation plans. Line management and development of the Major Donor Manager is a critical element of the role, providing coaching, guidance, and oversight to deliver against the major gifts strategy.

You will also attend funder and prospect meetings in London, deliver excellent stewardship to retain and grow support, and monitor activity and track progress using Salesforce and project management tools. Staying up to date with sector trends and philanthropy developments, you will ensure ShareAction maintains a forward-looking and innovative approach to fundraising.

What you’ll bring to the team

You will be an excellent relationship manager with sophisticated communication skills, persuasive writing ability, and the capacity to influence and inspire colleagues and donors alike. Exceptional organisational skills, entrepreneurial thinking, and strategic insight are essential, as is the ability to line-manage, coach, and develop the Major Donor Manager to achieve ambitious goals.

While experience with international fundraising, campaigning NGOs, or financial sector knowledge is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates who bring transferable skills, creativity, and a passion for advancing responsible investment.

We have a hybrid working policy in place, and the Fundraising Team meets monthly in the London office.
