And, when it comes to liaising with statutory and voluntary agencies to give people access to a full range of services, again, we’ll rely on your expertise. A great listener, with a flexible approach and a flair for planning and prioritising a busy workload, you love motivating and engaging people in a range of developmental and rehabilitative activities. What’s more, you have a good understanding of mental health issues and how they affect people. You will also need good record keeping skills and be adept at data entry and willing to participate in a 24/7 rota that includes lone working, weekends, and sleep‐ins.
The hourly rate for Casual Workers is £8.72.

SUPPORT WORKER ROLE:
The purpose of this role will be to support the team to provide support to our residents. As a Support Worker with René House CIC, you will be required to meet with our residents, assess their needs and promote their independence. We are looking for someone who is motivated and enthusiastic about making a real difference.
SUPPORT WORKER REQUIREMENTS:
- To support and develop the life skills of our residents
- To support our residents with maintaining a tenancy
- To provide emotional support to our residents
- To support our residents with personal administration tasks
- Signposting and providing support to access other services providing things such as: mental health support, drug and alcohol support, employment, and training opportunities etc.
- Suggesting new and innovative ways to serve our residents
- Keeping running records up to date
- Regular welfare checks to ensure the safety and well-being of residents
- Regular site presence to deter anti-social behaviour
- To complete support plans with our residents
- To be able to organise own workload effectively
- To have flexibility around work hours/days of work, occasionally including evenings and weekends
SUPPORT WORKER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in supporting those who are homeless/have multiple complex needs
- Experience of risk management in residential settings
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

LOCATION:
René House has separate properties in Nottinghamshire, therefore you would be required to travel to different locations. Your role may include meeting residents away from the property and travelling with them to different locations.
This role requires you to drive and have access to your own vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed.

This is an exciting new role working in the community alongside Merseyside police and other
partner agencies delivering the ‘About Face Deferred Prosecution Scheme’ across all areas of
the county. The aim of this project is to support arrested individuals who meet relevant criteria
and show a motivation to change. The individual is expected to engage with the support for a
period of at least 16 weeks and if successful in doing so, will have their case considered as no
further action required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Key working male and female clients who have been arrested in order to support them toward a crime free future.
• Managing a caseload of no more twelve individuals at any one time.
• To formulate a person centered plan of support for clients and to support individual to work toward reaching subsequent goals.
• Identifying, assessing and minimising risk to clients, yourself and others.
• Delivering elements of ‘The Restoring you course’ within nominated persons if and when required.
• Lone working is an integral part of this role as is working as part of a team.
• When appropriate working with and alongside family members will be an important element of this scheme.
• Signposting individuals to support services to meet the goals on the individual plan. A successful candidate should be competent in multi-agency working.
• Running group sessions for clients if and when required.
• Regular feedback, team meetings and review meetings with line manager.
• Regular communication of updates with officers in charge of an individual’s case.
• Arranging and attending appointments alongside individuals where appropriate.
• Availability and flexibility to include evening and weekend shifts if necessary, as well as being a regular part of the on-call rota.
• Following up and completing all appropriate paperwork and details of client; including on line reporting. Including, weekly reviews, daily logs and inductions. Using the ZOHO CMS system to complete these tasks.
• Ensuring progression of the client personally and through the journey within the criminal justice system.
• Liaising and working in partnership with organisations and individuals regarding both the client and City Hearts in a professional manner - including but not limited to Merseyside police, HM Probation service, Crown Prosecution service as well other agencies and medical professionals.
• Identifying along with other key performance indicators and ensuring accurate logging of support provided.
• Ensuring all course paperwork is being completed correctly and in a timely fashion.
• Ensuring exit strategies are being prepared in a timely fashion.
• Carrying out inductions, weekly reviews and updating IT system.
• Ensuring adherence to all internal procedures regarding City Hearts, the client and legislation.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:
To work with the senior management team to contribute to charity's strategic planning and directly manage the organisation's portfolio of mental health services
To provide day to day operational management of services, within scope and budget
To ensure the highest standards of working practice to ensure Mind's duty of care and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults
To meet and exceed contract terms to achieve positive recovery outcomes for service users and their carers
To work with the Director to develop new income streams and manage new contract services that meet the requirements of the organisation's strategy and business plan
To deputise for the Director in their absence
To ensure that defined and measurable standards and key performance indicators are agreed with team members for service delivery and that these are achieved

Team Management:

To provide regular management supervision to staff in accordance with the Mind's supervision policy
To ensure that all managed services are adequately staffed, arranging cover for sickness, study leave and holidays when necessary and monitoring staffing hours and absences, as necessary
Engagement with external agencies and funders:
To ensure that funders are kept informed as required about activities, deliverables and service out-puts through regular monitoring reports
To build strong collaborative relationships and links with external agencies to maximise the potential for generating referrals and partnership working
To promote and represent the charity, its work and service user interests to all external agencies with which the team works
