Job description

Our client is a small, Woking-based charity that supports people with learning disabilities to create the life they want to live. Together, their dedicated team of specially trained staff ensure that activities are person-centred and meaningful, aimed at developing skills, building confidence and creating lasting friendships. At an exciting time of growth for the organisation, they are now looking to recruit a Service Manager to oversee a range of impactful services for children and young people with learning disabilities.

We are searching for a dedicated and hands-on Service Manager to lead and develop services for children and young people with learning disabilities and additional needs; services will include afterschool clubs (Mon-Thurs), weekend and school holiday playschemes/teen sessions. The role will involve planning and delivering inclusive, engaging, and structured activities within a fun, safe, and supportive environment. You’ll be key in supporting frontline staff to deliver high quality services and will consistently champion the voices of beneficiaries to ensure this informs and shapes delivery.

To apply for this role, you will be a caring and collaborative leader, with demonstrable experience of delivering high quality services for children, young people or adults with a learning disability. You’ll have experience of supporting or mentoring frontline staff (including sessional workers) and will have experience of driving quality improvement and reporting on impact. The ideal candidate will understand high-quality, person-centred care and will bring excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

If you are interested in finding out more about this exciting opportunity, please register your interest and submit your CV by clicking 'apply now' below. Suitable candidates will then be contacted for an initial conversation.

As a specialist Recruitment Practice Prospectus is committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Prospectus invests in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you in your application.

Please note this role will be working full-time Monday-Friday, including 1 Saturday per month (time back for this will be given).
