The Development and Advocacy Department are looking for a Philanthropy Coordinator to join the team. This is a growth role which is testament to the dynamism in our philanthropic endeavours and the continued need to supplement our income through the relationships with our supporters. This is a pivotal role within the team, and you will be able to learn about the full range of activities undertaken by the Philanthropy Managers. You will have a varied workload including correspondence, meticulous diary management, planning for and issuing invitations to events, following up on arrangements and assisting at fundraising events. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled administrator who is looking to grow and develop their career in a sector leading Philanthropy Team.

This role will suit a candidate who is a strong team player, happy to pitch in and support with a variety of tasks as required. You will be able to work both independently and as part of the wider team, showing initiative but also taking direction. You will be a confident communicator who can deal with people at all levels.

There is an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker (known internally as Project Worker) to join the Wix’s Lane Project team on a permanent, full-time basis.

In this role you will work alongside a specialised team to create and maintain an environment of support for clients with complex needs, including substance use, mental health support and offending.

We provide a client-centred recovery based approach tailored to the needs of the individual, we work alongside the Psychology in Hostels programme. The project is unique in its layout of 18 self-contained studios. We are a small and dynamic team and there is an element of lone working.

The role

• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Officers to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste

About the role: 

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Grants Officer to join our dynamic organisation. During this maternity cover, Grants Officer will report directly to the Director of Grants, Contracts and Compliance. They will work across all of Internews’ geographies to provide the highest standard of grant management support to partners receiving higher value grants from us. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grant Management and Compliance

· Provide grant management support to Programme Management Units, country offices and partners. Participate in regional portfolio reviews.

· Support start‐ups of partner projects by coordinating project stakeholders and ensuring that all relevant processes and procedures are in place.

· Develop guidance documents and procedures to enable effective and compliant operation of partner projects. Supports project teams in adapting Internews’ standard sub-granting policies, procedures and toolkits to country contexts.

· Review and sign off on alldue‐diligence assessments in preparation for sub‐granting to partners.

· When requested, support project teams and the Business Officers, in monthly spend and burn rate reviews and donor report submissions

· Monitor the compliance from HQ to satisfy organisational and donorrequirements.

· Monitor the implementation of partner projects to ensure the implementation process is in line with grant agreements; and proposes solutions to implementation issues. Quality‐assure partner reporting, and track co-financing liabilities.

· Provide end-to-end management of partnership agreements, including drafting.

· Participate in project close-outs. Contribute to audit; support the audit manager on queries about sub-grants.

· Maintain records on the organisational grant management system.

Partnerships and Development

· Design and implement grant management and compliance trainings for partners and Internews staff.

· Identify and document best grant management practices from individual grants, works with M&E colleagues to coordinate debriefings with stakeholders.

· Advise development colleagues on key considerations relating to donor and statutory compliance requirements as related to sub-grants.

· Contribute to the development of partner budget proposals to ensure their appropriateness and compliance.

Expert advice

· Ensure good knowledge management across grants, including key project documentation, to enable all teams supporting the grant to access information and provide a fully auditable trail.

· Contribute to annual work planning and budgeting process.

Essential Skills and experience:

· Demonstrated experience in the context of international non-for-profit.

· Strong experience in the development and implementation of grant management processes and procedures.

· Deep understanding of rules of major European donors, including the European Commission, SIDA, and FCDO.

· Proven track record in conducting due diligence on organisations and their policies, ensuring compliance and alignment with standards.

· Proven track record in grant management training and mentorship for grantees.

The Role

The People Team are recruiting for an interim People Business Partner to provide some dedicated focus in our largest Skylight in London, with the potential to then scale up any successful interventions to other Skylights. This is an exciting time to join us as the team at London are making some great progress in their cultural transformation.

Contract: 12 months fixed term 

Location: 3 days a week onsite at the London Skylight (located in E1) with some homeworking possible , and a requirement for some travel to other Skylights in England, Scotland and Wales.

About the role

As People Business Partner you will provide expertise on employee relations, cultural transformation, employee engagement and relationship building. The role will be varied managing both day to day issues and longer term transformational work.

You will work closely with the leadership team within the Skylight, our union colleagues and the wider People team and Learning/OD team. You will be visible and approachable to the staff team and become a trusted colleague within the Skylight working to bring colleagues closer together as everyone unites to deliver on the operational requirements and longer term strategic ambitions.

You will play a key role in embedding some of the work of the wider People team such as new resolution methods, coaching and mediation. You will also play a key role in establishing a staff forum within the Skylight.

You will have opportunities to contribute to project work within the Skylight, wider Client Services Directorate and the People team playing a key role in ensuring that our people practices are developed through effective collaboration with stakeholders and in line with our new corporate values.

You will be a member of the extended management team within the People Team; helping to shape our plans to deliver most impact.

About you

This role will require a postholder who can identify opportunities for improvements and collaboration. Someone who is experienced in employee relations, building relationships, creating momentum and positive change. You will have a person centred approach and be able to provide clarity and simplicity to complex matters.

You will have a solid background operating autonomously at Partner level and the ability to capitalise on wider organisational people and culture initiatives; bringing them to life locally and delivering tangible outcomes.

A background in mediation, project management, and change management would be a distinct advantage.

Whilst a background in the homelessness sector is not essential, an understanding of the broad challenges will be required in order to best support the team at the Skylight.

We are seeking a Youth Engagement Lead to lead an agile and innovative youth function that shapes and delivers meaningful and inclusive youth engagement across key areas of Plan International UK’s work. This is a new role that will sit in the newly formed Policy, Campaigns and Youth Unit. This a dynamic team that brings together our policy, advocacy, campaigning and youth engagement work to influence change for girls’ rights and gender equality globally and in the UK

The role will provide direction and guidance to Plan International UK’s ambition to become a more youth-centred organisation. The postholder will also manage our Youth Advisory Panel and build partnerships with young people and youth-led organisations in advocacy, and campaigns.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker with substantial experience in leading on youth engagement, participation and partnerships with adolescent girls, young people and youth-led organisations including supporting their engagement in advocacy, campaigns, and organisational governance. You will have significant experience of leading on safeguarding and ideally have line management experience.
