If you are appointed, you will be joining our small, busy and collaborative team at an exciting time as we deliver our new Organisational Strategy for 2025-2030. This strategy was developed in consultation with our members and we are looking to implement it in collaboration with them. You will:

• lead the development and delivery of our next Membership Strategy
• help us review our current membership
• with an intersectional lens, actively look into gaps in our membership and create different strategies to address them
• work on deepening of relationships and connections with members
• review and improve the various ways we communicate and engage with our members
• ensure this knowledge shapes EVAW’s campaigning and policy aims and centres EVAW's diverse coalition members in the work we do
• work with the chair of the EVAW Board membership sub-group to ensure effective quarterly meetings and support induction of new members to the sub-group

This role gives you the opportunity to act on your commitment to gender equality and human rights, and to contribute to EVAW’s anti-racism analysis by bringing insight, knowledge and suggestions.

You might have been in the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector or led membership or other networks elsewhere, either as an employee or as a volunteer. Whatever your background, you will bring an understanding of VAWG and a firm commitment to ending it.

Transformation Hub Manager

For over five decades, the Renewal Programme has been a trusted cornerstone of the community in the London Borough of Newham, tackling the root causes and consequences of poverty, isolation, and disadvantage.

Role overview

The Transformation Hub Manager will play a pivotal role in reshaping our service offerings by creating a vibrant, inclusive, and strengths-based hub for our communities - many of who are underserved, including asylum seekers, refugees, residents facing isolation, and those affected by homelessness. You will lead on the delivery and successful management of our National Lottery funded RenewALL Hub, transforming our ideas from concept into a sustainable, impactful centre for community wellbeing. Central to this role is continuing to drive the shift from a crisis-led service model to a holistic, strengths-based approach, ensuring the RenewALL hub empowers Newham residents to connect, grow, and thrive. A major part of this transformation will be designing and delivering a wide range of new activities and services. Crucially, the Hub will not just deliver activities for residents but will be co-designed and co-produced with them, embedding lived experience and the voice of the community at its core. Success will depend on your ability to build and lead a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them behind the shared vision of the Hub. You will work to create a welcoming space that reflects the ambitions of our Open House strategy, where dignity, inclusion, collaboration and empowerment are lived out in every interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Hub Development

• Lead a team to ensure the successful implementation of the RenewALL Hub project, as submitted to the National Lottery Community Fund, aligning all activities with our “Open House” strategy and theory of change.
• Champion and embed a strengths-based, “advantaged thinking” culture across all Hub operations, actively shifting the focus from deficits to assets.
• Build and inspire a coherent, motivated team of staff and volunteers, uniting them around a shared vision for transformation.

Programme Design & Community Co-Production

• Oversee the design, delivery, and continuous evaluation of a diverse, inclusive weekly programme of activities, informed by community consultation and resident priorities.
• Manage a portfolio of activities that improve wellbeing, reduce isolation, and build skills — including health & wellbeing sessions, cultural celebrations, social connection groups, and learning opportunities.
• Facilitate and champion the Community Hub Involvement Panel (CHIP), ensuring residents co-produce activities and influence the Hub’s direction, with a pathway to influencing trustee-level decision making.

Partnership Development

• Build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders, including NHS teams, Public Health colleagues and social prescribers, creating integrated wellbeing pathways for Newham residents.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local organisations, agencies, and community groups, ensuring the Hub complements and connects with wider services.

Community Food & Social Connection

• Provide oversight (via the Food Sustainability Coordinator) for all food-related initiatives, ensuring they align with the Hub’s ethos of dignity, choice, and resilience.
• Direct the strategic transition from over-reliance on a traditional Food Bank to an empowering Food Club model, reinforcing pathways from crisis to independence.

Operational Leadership

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the Hub space, ensuring it is safe, welcoming, and open 7 days a week.
• Coordinate and support staff, volunteers, and sessional workers across the Hub, embedding strong safeguarding and trauma-informed practice.

Promotion & Outreach

• Work with the marketing team to promote the Hub’s activities widely, ensuring strong engagement from under-represented and vulnerable groups.
• Conduct outreach to engage under represented residents, ensuring activities are culturally inclusive and accessible.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Compliance

• Lead on the monitoring and evaluation requirements of our Lottery bid.
• Use monitoring and evaluation tools (e.g., Upshot) to track engagement, outcomes, and impact, ensuring activities remain effective and relevant.
• Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, safeguarding, and legal requirements.

Person Specification

• Passionate about community empowerment, inclusion, and tackling inequalities
• Commitment to strengths-based and dignity-first approaches, especially in working with marginalised communities (e.g., refugees, asylum seekers, people experiencing homelessness)
• Significant experience in leading community development or social impact projects
• Proven track record of designing, delivering, and evaluating community programmes that improve wellbeing and reduce isolation

Worldwide Veterinary Service is searching for an experienced manager to support the growth of our global education programme.

 This is an ideal role for an experienced project manager who wants to make lasting improvements to the lives of children and animals around the world.

Reporting to the Head of Education at global animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), you will help grow and develop education programmes that protect children from key zoonotic disease and improve the relationship between animals and people.

One child dies from rabies every 10 minutes. Most victims are under the age of 15. Rabies is 100% fatal, but entirely vaccine preventable. Children just need the right information to protect themselves. WVS established Mission Rabies, a campaign that aims to eliminate rabies for good, in 2013. We have worked hard to reach 9.6 million children worldwide, but around half of the world’s 2 billion children at this age still live in rabies endemic countries. You will manage national education managers based across Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America to spread our core messages to a wider audience. This is essential if we are to deliver our goal to halve the number of people dying from rabies in the next 5 years.

We are looking for somebody who is proactive, driven and has a history of making things happen. Last year, WVS treated over 103,000 animals, trained over 2,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,042 parcels of veterinary supplies to 231 charities in 65 countries. Over 1.2 m dogs were vaccinated against rabies last year as part of our Mission Rabies campaign.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•  Support with the development of our education and behaviour change campaigns in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
• Develop robust monitoring and data collection systems and build capacity in the team to adhere to these mechanisms.

Our part time Engagement Manager will create a warm referral pathway wherein they attend training events and sessions with Pathways Coaches alongside potential clients, ensuring a smooth and trusting transition to SOSE’s support, stepping back when trust is built. We will support people in the Scottish Borders who experience barriers to education, training, and employment.

As our Engagement Manager, you will directly support people aged 16+ who may have complex and challenging barriers to securing a positive pathway.  This will include barrier identification and removal and where appropriate provide pre volunteering activity as well as volunteering placements in their local area. 

You will engage with local people from under-represented groups in The Borders to realise their dreams and take active steps toward self-employment. Volunteering Matters’ individualised support adapts to the needs of each client whether this is additional funding, support to attend meetings, confidence building, or skills development in a supported volunteering placement. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre as a Caseworker, authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly known as OISC. RMC is a well-established, award-winning regional charity, widely recognised for its impactful work with refugees and migrants.

For over 23 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 162 countries, helping to break down barriers to integration and enabling clients to become equal citizens. We provide a holistic range of services, from specialist legal advice to education and employment programs.

The successful candidate will join RMC’s Immigration department and play a key role in delivering free immigration advice and representation. This is an exciting time to join the team as RMC is expanding its infrastructure following significant growth in staff, activities, and turnover—rising from £776k to £2.8 million in the past five years.

RMC is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) and is accredited to provide free immigration advice up to Level 3, covering cases from initial advice through to the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.

Our immigration services focus on assisting migrants (including undocumented migrants), refugees, and asylum-seekers in navigating the UK’s complex immigration legal system.
