About the Project – Door of Hope (East London)
The Door of Hope Project provides support to women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets. This includes journeying alongside women, whilst providing advocacy, information, emotional and practical support. The project also has a strong team of around 15 volunteers, who deliver street outreach to women in Tower Hamlets on a Thursday morning and Friday night.
About the Role
Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.
Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker.
Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide holistic support for women with complex needs who want support, or to exit the sex industry. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.
This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver an in-person support service, with women who sell sex on-street in East London. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need for Safeguarding.
You will be a champion of the cause, have a passion for supporting women who face multiple disadvantages and be familiar with the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) sector.

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers.
The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.
Advice Work
- Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
- Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
- Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
- Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
- Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
- Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
- Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
- Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.
- Conduct follow-up calls with guests where needed and track outcomes
- Support volunteers who are working on delivering Advice Services e.g triage volunteers and pathways volunteers
- Provide advice to the General Advice Service as and when required
Case Management
- Manage own caseload and work independently to support guests
- Use of Case Management System (AdvicePro) as well as Microsoft Office for communication and document production.
- Support with developing case studies and gathering guest feedback
- Collect statistical information as requested for reporting purposes.
- Feed into the development of monitoring reports for funders and other stakeholders
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;
- Ensure data protection regulations are adhered to, and that sensitive data is handled in accordance with relevant legislation and organisational procedures.
- Keep informed of new and changing legislation relevant to the post, and of local issues and policies
- Be committed to the aims, procedures and policies of Sufra’s advice service in every aspect of service delivery.

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.
The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
For this role we pay a Recruitment and Retention Allowance to external candidates of £1500 (pro rata for part time roles). We are looking for a Youth Caseworker to work alongside young refugees, asylum seekers and other young migrants who are at risk or in crisis, to ensure that they can access their statutory rights and achieve their full potential. The Youth Caseworker will provide holistic casework, advice and practical support to young people aged 14 to 24 years, working closely with statutory and voluntary organisations to ensure that the immediate and longer-term needs of young people are met.

About Us:
Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. The organisation’s ability to deliver excellence in its service quality is dependent upon a skilled and competent workforce where learning and continuous improvement is a fundamental aim.
Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.
We have 5 full time and 5 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 17 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer term plans for growth.
We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stables, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stables owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up an derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.
About the Role:
To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.
The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.

- Working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure fundraising materials and pitch decks are high quality
- Engaging staff, volunteers and supporters in the campaign
- Manage fundraising pipeline and presenting a progress updates to the board if required
- Creating a relationship with one of our HNW funders who has connections with other HNW individuals and corporations
- The Equestrian Management Agency (who support us as their partner charity and are invested in making this fundraising campaign a success)

Somerset Wildlife Trust requires a talented Administrator to join the busy People, Culture & Resources Team.
This is a key post within the Trust communicating with key stakeholders and Teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for career development, joining a team of passionate people committed to working together to achieve more for nature in the beautiful county of Somerset.
The role will provide effective governance organising and facilitating Trust Council and committee meetings. Responsibilities will include scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes for board and committee meetings. The Governance and Business Administrator will be maintaining records, advising on governance procedures and liaising with stakeholders.
As Business Administrator within the People, Culture and Resources (PCR) Team, the role will provide office support, answering telephone calls, emails, handling correspondence and maintaining records. The role will develop and maintain relationships with Trustees, external contacts and other stakeholders. Also, the role will implement techniques and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Responsibility 1: Lead on providing expertise on a comprehensive governance service
- Acting as secretary to the Trusts Council, sub committees and Sales Board.
- Providing logistical and administrative support to the CEO, Directors, Chair and Trustees.
- Supporting the chair to set dates of council meetings, produce Council agendas in liaison with the CEO, Chair & Committee Chairs and ensuring accurate minutes are taken, approved, and circulated in a timely manner.
- Working autonomously maintaining the governance archive for Council and overseeing full governance archive on SharePoint.
- Maintaining live files and records at Companies House.
- Acting as secretary to the Nominations Committee including maintaining the register of trustee and honorary officer terms of office and managing the process of nominating, recruiting and inducting Trustees.
- Assisting with the production of high-quality papers and presentation materials and developing solutions to complex issues.
- Fixing dates, orchestrate agendas, papers and minutes for Council meetings and carry out chasing actions as required using your excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Organising and facilitating Trustee inductions.
- Regular and structured reviewing of governance documents, policies, processes, and terms of reference, keeping abreast of developments in governance legislation & best practice.
- Maintaining and updating the SWT Governance Handbook and ensuring legal compliance.
Responsibility 2: Provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the People, Culture and Resources Team to support the smooth running of the office.
- Overseeing the PCR team administrative support functions.
- Handling communications: Greeting clients, answering incoming calls, replying to emails and dealing with both incoming and outgoing post.
- Organising schedules: Scheduling meetings, appointments and events, and organising any necessary materials for them.
- Maintaining office equipment: Operating and maintaining equipment such as photocopier and franking machine.
- Supporting staff: providing administrative support to colleagues with occasional administrative work on PCR projects.
- Keeping track of inventory and ordering office supplies such as first aid equipment, coffee and tea and other items.
- Using spreadsheets for budget evidencing and monitoring purposes – (credit card transactions & Amazon purchasing).
Responsibility 3: Utilising your strong commitment to customer service, provide a first-class customer service for the organisation and its stakeholders, ensuring that every customer is completely satisfied with their customer experience
- Ensuring that all telephone, face to face and written enquiries are responded to promptly and dealt with in an efficient manner.
- Answering customer queries, responding to questions from incoming correspondence.
- Resolving complaints by liaising with relevant teams to ensure customer satisfaction and ensure regular contact with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Keeping accurate records of customer interactions including a complaints log.
- Providing information to stakeholders to answer questions and queries.
- Escalating issues referring any complex issues to Heads or Team managers when necessary.

The Snowdrop Project is the first organisation in the UK to provide long-term, community based support to survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. We aim to empower survivors of modern slavery and exploitation to recover from their experiences and thrive. The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) - whose mobile food clubs give access to low cost weekly shops and affordable food to communities starved of money, food and resources - is seeking a passionate, strategic and proactive fundraising leader to join their dynamic team at a pivotal time in the charity’s growth.
The charity’s vision is to make life more affordable, to build strong communities and to reduce food waste. Since launching in 2016, The Bread and Butter Thing has grown rapidly – now reaching over 100,000 people through more than 140 community hubs across the North of England, with an annual income of circa £6 million. As well as tackling food poverty, the charity creates spaces that foster community connection, reduce social isolation, and improve general wellbeing.
This role will take a lead on growing and diversifying income from trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors and public sector sources, and will be responsible for championing a culture of partnership, building meaningful relationships and helping to amplify the organisation’s impact and story.
The Philanthropy Lead is central to TBBT’s ambitions to grow their geographical reach and raise their national profile to reach more communities, working to shape and deliver a high-value fundraising strategy, lead multi-sector funding bids, and work hand in hand with delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders. As the subject expert in fundraising, the post-holder will be hands-on in developing proposals and cases for support, managing key accounts, and working as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team to identify and progress opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of building relationships and securing income from high-value sources, including trusts and foundations, corporates, major donors and public bodies. You will have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes. A strong understanding of the funding landscape for community development, poverty reduction, and/or food justice would be an advantage.
As well as having excellent communication skills you will be an outstanding relationship-builder, able to connect with funders, partners, communities, and colleagues. You will be a strategic thinker, comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Final you will be collaborative, proactive and passionate about tackling poverty, food insecurity, and inequality.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision.
APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support.
The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts.
