Responsible for corporate hospitality, the Administrator will provide excellent in-person customer care for visitors to the organisation’s central London Hub and act a first point of contact via the organisation’s in-bound telephone hunt groups.

Working in support of the Office & Facilities Manager, you will ensure the implementation of the organisation’s health and safety procedures on daily basis and contribute more generally to the management and maintenance tasks of the Hub and the broader Crane Grove estate.

Dynamic and able to contribute either independently or as part of a team, you will work with a hands-on approach to establish and help maintain the systems needed to propel the organisation forward.

You will also assist the Engagement & Communications department with ongoing outreach projects, by contributing to periodic fundraising fulfilment tasks related to appeals mailings, and by supporting outward-bound telephone campaign tasks.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced operations manager to join our team. We are looking for someone who will help strengthen the foundations of our organisation, as well as help us expand our growing network of partner organisations across the UK. 

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO to help build the operational structure of Big Green Heart, and support its day-to-day operations.

First Step Trust (FST) is a charity that provides work experience, training and employment opportunities for people excluded from working life because of mental health problems or other disadvantages (workforce members).

Our approach is about giving workforce members the chance to overcome some of the difficulties facing them by getting them involved as colleagues. We provide ‘on the job’ training, advice and support to enable each person to improve their basic skills and knowledge of the various work undertaken. Job Role:

We are seeking for a Programme Officer in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) team.

The role

As Programme Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across the entire portfolio of LIF activities, focusing on the LIF Global programme and the LIF Community. This role will involve some international travel.

Precisely, you will support the programme by organising training and mentoring, local and international events for a global network of engineering and technology entrepreneurs; and building and maintaining a sustainable international network of LIF alumni.

LIF empowers entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact in their communities with novel technologies. LIF Global is the flagship, entry-point programme that supports innovators with a technology prototype to create an entrepreneurial mindset, and the LIF Community ensures a sustained mutually beneficial relationship with the Academy beyond the initial programme period.

A highly organised individual with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work across multiple projects, managing delivery according to priority and deadline. You are an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to adapt to a wide array of cultural contexts.

Location

Our light, spacious head office is based in a fantastic location in central London with views over St James’s Park and close to the West End. We operate hybrid, flexible working practices with a baseline for office-based working of a mandatory weekly team day plus further days each week as required for the role and the Academy.

SCLF was established in 2016 with a 10-year mission and ten years of funding from John Swire & Sons Ltd with the objective of getting Mandarin Chinese more broadly taught in UK state schools across primary and secondary. The Foundation believes that there is tremendous value for young people to learn a foreign language and that learning Mandarin Chinese in Britain will enable future generations to develop a greater understanding of China.

The Grants Programme Assistant will support both the Executive Director and the Assistant Manager across the remit of the SCLF’s work to help it deliver its objectives. This is a unique and interesting opportunity to join the organisation at a key point in its ten-year trajectory as it works to support schools to continue their language provision post 2026 and help shape what that future might look like. 

The postholder will play a key role when it comes to supporting the Executive Director and Assistant Manager in their day-to-day roles and get very involved in the operations of the Foundation. The work will cover wide remit of areas including: financial administration, supporting with termly funding reports-and-request process for schools, preparing internal expense requests and maintaining the expenses log. You will support with the annual Grant Agreement extension process, general programme administration, the annual data requests and the organisation of annual assessment visits to Centres. The postholder will maintain relationships with the Foundation’s network of schools and other institutions. You will support with board administration, scheduling meeting dates, manage logistics and support with the preparation of papers. You will also support with event administration for two annual conferences and also sit in on many of the meetings which the Foundation holds with various stakeholders and take meeting notes where possible.

You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with and maintaining good relations with a variety of different stakeholders. You will have a thorough approach to tasks and attention to detail. You will have a curiosity about and interest in the work of the Foundation. You will be flexible and have an adaptable approach to tasks. You will be comfortable working within a small team and also be able to work on your own initiative. You will have sound computer skills (Microsoft Office 365). You will also have strong numeracy skills.
