1. Supporter engagement:
• Thank and record donations; maintaining up-to-date supporter records
• Support outreach through JRS UK events such as our Advent Service and report launches
• Represent JRS UK at external events such as Greenbelt festival or the National Justice and Peace Network conference
• Undertake talks and appeals in parishes or schools
2. Digital and Offline communications:
• Produce and distribute printed materials (e.g. quarterly newsletters; publicity materials; parish resources)
• Maintain and develop JRS UK’s digital presence (e.g. website; social media; eupdates)
• Capture and manage digital assets (such as audio, photographs, and videos)
• Develop content for JRS UK’s website, newsletters, and social media – scoping and drafting content that champion refugee voices, shares our work, or engages supporters in our advocacy
• Analyse web traffic and social media engagement to inform future activity
3. Appeals:
• Support the delivery of JRS UK’s three direct-mail appeals (Advent, Lent, World Day of Migrants and Refugees) and our annual legacy appeal by:
o Researching and drafting content
o Curating and segmenting data
o Sourcing and producing visuals
4. Trust fundraising
• Steward relationships with some small and medium sized trusts
• Draft and submit grant applications and reports

Working as a part of the Fundraising Team, the role will focus on identifying and developing corporate partnerships, as well as overseeing NEA’s calendar of fundraising events. You will deliver high-quality stewardship and support to fundraisers, ensuring a positive and engaging experience. You’ll also be responsible for planning and executing a portfolio of challenge events, while cultivating meaningful relationships with a diverse range of corporate partners.
A key part of your role will be identifying and securing new opportunities for corporate support, while strengthening existing relationships to foster long-term engagement. You will also play an important role in supporting NEA’s corporate volunteering programme.
You’ll be part of a small, friendly, and hardworking team that works collaboratively to achieve shared goals. The role requires strategic thinking and hands-on delivery, so we’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in fundraising or business development, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
This is a hybrid role based at NEA’s Head Office in Newcastle upon Tyne, with national travel required to meet partners and attend events.

We’re looking for a confident, proactive and people-focused Client Attraction & Engagement Officer to lead on visibility and outreach for Toynbee Hall’s Money Coaching and Money Support services across Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust (GSTT) sites. You’ll play a key role by attending roadshows, distributing materials, keeping displays up to date, and acting as a warm first point of contact for staff across the Trust. This is a public-facing, movement-based role, ideal for someone who enjoys speaking to people, working across different locations, and making things happen on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach and Engagement
- Represent Toynbee Hall at 2-3 staff roadshows per week (50 by end June 2026) across GSTT sites and community venues
- Speak confidently with staff about the Money Coaching offer and how to access support
- Distribute flyers, multilingual leaflets and signposting materials
- Be a visible and approachable presence at roadshows, pop-ups and events
- Attend meetings and events in person or online to promote the service
Marketing Materials and Display Maintenance
- Support the installation and regular restocking of 30 “Money Support Hub” wall-mounted displays
- Report any damage, updates or replenishment needs to the Marketing Manager
- Feedback on which sites are generating the most footfall and engagement
Monitoring and Reporting
- Log engagement stats from each event (e.g. conversations, materials distributed, referrals made)
- Share weekly updates with the Marketing Manager/ Head of Legal Advice on reach and feedback
- Flag common themes and ideas for improvement

Purpose
The Fundraising Development Officer supports the delivery of our individual giving programme, helping to nurture current supporters and attract new ones.
You will be responsible for building our regular giving support, implementing supporter journeys and co-ordinating our annual appeals. You will also work closely with the Head of Fundraising in developing our major donor plans, and support with other individual giving channels, including in-memory giving and legacy giving.

Key responsibilities and duties

- Implement the supporter journeys for regular and one-off donors, creating communications to engage them with the cause and understand the impact.

- Deliver the community fundraising programme and continually monitor results, with particular focus on net income, Rotary engagement, supporter growth and the development of our volunteer network. Adjust and adapt plans accordingly.
- To set income and expenditure budgets for all community and events activity, monitoring industry and supporter trends, progress against budgets and reforecast income and expenditure as required.
- Set measurable KPIs for the Community and Events Team and objectively review the success and achievements against targets. Identify areas of risk and opportunity. Ensure contingencies are in place as appropriate.
- Strategically grow community income by identifying priority audiences and developing products/campaigns/communications to maximise the value of our existing supporters and to reach new ones. - Continue to develop and test events, with the aim of growing our events portfolio, working closely with the Community Marketing and Events Officer.
- Embed evidence-based decision-making within the team, using insight and data to inform ways of working, and improving our use and adoptions of systems.
- Support team with stewarding high value community stakeholders, including the strategically important relationship with RGBI. Role model and support great relationship fundraising - leading by example to inspire high standards in the team.
- Lead the development of strategic plans to maximise our partnership with RGBI (including income, awareness and networking opportunities). Manage and support the Rotary Marketing and Engagement Officers to drive activity and performance. Work closely with the Rotary Partnership Manager to ensure plans and communications are aligned.
- Support Community Engagement Officer with the development and growth of our community volunteer network.
- Work with the Rotary Marketing Officer and Community Marketing and Events Officer to oversee the development of mass participation campaigns to engage target audiences (warm and cold) and grow income.
- Develop, deliver and evaluate major disaster plans for community audiences.
- Work across the team to review and develop 'donor journeys' in collaboration with the wider fundraising and Supporter Care team, ensuring an excellent supporter experience.

Advocacy is one of three guiding principles in our 2025-2030 organisational strategy. It underpins all of our work – we advocate for a greater focus on preventing abuse before it happens, not just within the halls of parliament but through all aspects of our work from frontline practice to influencing national policy.
This role sits within the wider Advocacy and Communications Team which supports the promotion of all areas of our work across various channels: websites, social media, press and PR, marketing and digital advertising. Working with the wider team, we are striving to better showcase our advocacy work both internally and externally.

The Housing Advice Practitioner will by providing tailored advice and guidance through mainly remote online or phone support, as well as in person housing advice at a weekly housing advice surgery in the community. The role will include advocacy, coordination with legal services, workshops, and ensuring sustained support for families.

About the Role
The Legal Project Officer coordinates two projects which sit at the heart of ILPA’s legal policy and strategic legal coordination work.
The Legal Project Officer will work closely with the Legal Team (Legal Director and Senior Legal Officer) to run ILPA’s Working Groups and with the Senior Legal Projects Manager in a key role to coordinate strategic legal advice and litigation. The Legal Project Officer also works closely with the rest of the ILPA Secretariat, including the Chief Executive, Content and Digital Channels Manager, Training Manager, and with Trustees, ILPA and SLAC members, the SLAC Steering Committee and convenors of ILPA’s Working Groups.
You will support the organisation and running of ILPA’s thematic Working Groups, which provide a valuable forum for ILPA members to share best practice and discuss issues of current importance, assisting with agenda-setting, presenting updates, following-up on action points, answering queries, and preparing meeting summaries. The overall aim of these activities is to improve immigration, asylum and nationality law, policy and practice.
You will work with the Senior Legal Projects Manager to develop partnerships with NGOs and legal professionals around the UK and to coordinate all Strategic Legal Advice Committee (SLAC) meetings. These meetings will be held online, across the UK. Each SLAC group will hold four meetings per year as well as emergency meetings where necessary. You will be responsible for the minute taking of all SLAC meetings. You will work with the Senior Legal Projects Manager to set member-led meeting agendas, identify member training needs, facilitate training, update the SLAC website, and feed in to monitoring and evaluation of the project. You will be responsible for coordinating SLAC Steering Committee meetings.
About you
The position would suit a self-motivated individual who is passionate about the sector and is looking to further their career in the immigration world, through coordinating and organising these two projects at ILPA.
You may be keen to be working at the heart of the systemic changes following Brexit, recent significant legislation, including the Nationality and Borders Act 2022, Illegal Migration Act 2023, Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Act 2024, attempts to remove people seeking asylum in the UK to Rwanda, government initiatives to “reduce net migration” such as the increased Minimum Income Requirement for family visas, the suspension of the refugee family reunion route, and the recently introduced Border Security, Asylum and Immigration Bill.
You will have an interest in strategic litigation and how it can be used to protect and promote the rights of those discriminated against on the basis of their migration status. You will be passionate about being involved in the coordination of a unique and exciting project that brings the third and legal sectors together in developing strategic litigation.
Given the complexity of immigration, asylum and nationality law, we do not expect applicants to have expertise in every area, but an understanding of the law and excellent critical analysis skills are key. Any successful applicant will be able to attend ILPA training to further their knowledge.
