Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker – £34,127 per annum

Join SPEAR and help end homelessness across Richmond and Wandsworth. As a Rough Sleeping Outreach and Assessment Worker, you’ll play a vital role in our Street Outreach Service and the new 24-hour Assessment Centre. One night you could be out on the street engaging with people sleeping rough; the next day you might be welcoming someone to the centre, creating a support plan, and linking them to housing and health services.
What you’ll do
- Carry out late-night street outreach and day-time reception shifts as part of a rota.
- Build trusting relationships with people who are rough sleeping and help them move quickly into safe accommodation.
- Provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, including assessments, personalised action plans and follow-on help to sustain tenancies.
-Work closely with partner agencies to connect clients to health, housing, and other specialist services.
-Keep accurate case notes and share information securely using CHAIN and InForm systems.
About you
You bring experience of working with vulnerable adults, ideally in homelessness or a related field, and you’re confident working late-night shifts. You can build rapport quickly, stay calm under pressure, and work well with partner agencies. Above all, you believe that homelessness should be rare, brief and non-recurring.

Post Title: Director of Clinical Services - Psychotherapy
Reporting to: CEO
Line Management Reports: Clinical Managers, Outreach Therapist/s, and support staff.
Purpose of Post: To provide organisational governance and strategic leadership to the Board/Trustees, and CEO as a member of icap’s Executive team. To develop and ensure implementation of icap’s clinical strategy ensuring good governance of clinical standards and resources.
Lead and represent an experienced clinical team within icap and externally. To work with and support the Clinical Managers and other clinical staff with the day-to-day management of the clinical service.
Terms: Permanent
Salary£56,800 pro rata plus pension
Hours: Minimum 0.6 – 0.8 FTE, 21 - 28hrs per week (open to negotiation), hours by arrangement to include some hours on 4-5 days each week; the post requires some pre planned out-of-hours work and travel.Our offices are open between 09:00hrs - 19:00hrs on 3 days and 09:00 -17:00 two days each week. Volunteers support our reception function on extended opening hours (after 5pm).

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Functions
Working with the Board/ Trustees to develop ICAP’s clinical strategy including:
- Reporting to icap’s Board, on progress against icap’s clinical and operational strategy,
- Preparing Board Reports and Risk Register
- Deputise for the CEO.
Work with CGSC chair and trustee members to:
- Develop clinically appropriate Policies, Procedures and Processes. Promote a culture of learning within the clinical team, ensuring therapists are up to date and engaged with data collection, reporting and monitoring.
- To pro-actively participate as a member of icap’s Executive Team, attending board meetings, Clinical Governance Sub Committee meetings and a regular calendar of fundraising events
Clinical Facing function:
Work with the Clinical Managers to support them with the day-to-day management of the clinical service. Line Management oversight of the Supervision function of the organisation. Act as the DSL for Adult Safeguarding including the training, risk management, recording and reporting of all safeguarding activity. Ensure icap’s strategic objectives are understood and supported across the Clinical service. Review the Client Contribution policy to include full cost charging for services.
Oversee the Implementation and roll out of CORE CMS across the service. (New project)
Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
Clinical Leadership and Management experience in a small or similar organisation. Managing and working with minoritised or deprived groups with multiple barriers and limited access to psychotherapy. Experience of producing Board reports and working with commissioners, developing funding applications, and service level agreements for Clinical services. Experience of Clinical Governance and reporting targets and outcomes.
Training and 6+ years direct experience in using psychotherapeutic and trauma informed approaches with recognised post graduate psychotherapy qualification. Accreditation with either BPC, UKCP, BACP, ICP, NCPS and/or IACP. Evidence of up-to-date practice as recommended by relevant professional body.
Knowledge and experience of SharePoint and the Microsoft suite of tools.

About The Role

Helpline Advisors are responsible for providing high-quality, empowering, emotional and practical support, assistance and information to women and those supporting them, who contact the Freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline, run by Refuge. Helpline Advisors deliver one to one support to women and those supporting them to ensure that they are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming service, enabling women to understand their rights, make decisions and increase their options. The job involves working across multiple platforms including phone and live chat, to inform survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

About Breadwinners
Breadwinners is a multi-award-winning social enterprise and charity that supports young people seeking asylum and refugees to have their first work experience in the UK, selling organic baked goods. Since 2016, we have steadily grown, and we are looking for our first Senior Fundraising Manager to help us take the next step in our growth journey. Breadwinner's unique model provides work, training and personal mentors, so that young refugees can start and progress in their careers, using our platform as a stepping stone. We achieve this goal through three consecutive programmes, using our award-winning bread stalls in markets across London and Brighton and wholesale for socially-minded cafes and restaurants.
Over the last 7 years, we have made a significant impact in supporting over 744+ programme participants, with an impressive 93% reporting notable improvements in their overall well-being, 76% of our Breadwinners programme participants progress into work, further education or volunteering, and all this while minimising our Carbon Footprint by 20.5% through the sale of organic goods. This year, we are planning to double our impact with young refugees, with recently secured funding, new markets, and a focus on our wholesale model.

Risers programme: A two-month early intervention programme designed to provide structured work experience, training, and mentorship to newly arrived young people seeking asylum through our 18 stalls.

The ideal candidate will bring a mix of strategic thinking, hands-on fundraising experience, excellent communication skills and a strong sense of purpose. You will be working directly with the Managing Director, forming a team with a part-time Fundraising Manager, in direct contact with our passionate Core team, Board of Trustees and volunteers to secure grant funding, and develop our corporate and major donors streams. Finance

Help the Managing Director keep a healthy level of restricted and unrestricted funds.

Help track progress against income targets and report on performance regularly to the fundraising team.

Work with the Managing Director and Operations Teams to develop budgets for funding proposals, ensuring all organisational costs are covered.

Contribute to the management of budgets and assist in preparing forecasts and annual plans.

Flag risks or opportunities that may affect income generation for the Managing Director.

Team Support and Collaboration

Direct line management of a part-time Fundraising Manager, providing guidance, support, and oversight to help achieve fundraising goals.

Play a proactive role in facilitating a positive, collaborative and high-performing fundraising team culture.

Participate in programmes, training, participant graduations and delivery to fully support and experience Breadwinners Theory of change and the impact it plays on young refugees.

Leverage the experiences of young programme participants sensitively to help steer the fundraising strategy.

Work with the Managing Director and Board of Trustees to ensure fundraising plans align with organisational needs and priorities.

What the job involves
We're on the lookout for a motivated Direct Marketing professional to bring their skills to our Individual Giving Team, with a focus on retention campaigns.
Direct Marketing plays an important role in the Charity’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy. We’re looking for a confident and proactive fundraiser to take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of our current retention programme.
You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to our warm audiences; newly recruited and existing cash supporters and regular givers with the aim of strengthening loyalty and increasing their lifetime value.
With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage existing direct marketing campaigns in the form of direct mail appeals, emails, telemarketing and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently analyse KPIs and make evidence-based decisions to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.
What we want from you
Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment, which includes developing and implementing retention focused direct marketing campaigns, you’ll also have a range of channel experience and marketing knowledge.
You’ll possess first class communication skills, a strong team ethic and you’ll be at ease working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Knowledge of direct marking and fundraising law would be advantageous.

Our Youth and Play Practitioners will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services.
