Overview of the Regional Coordinator role and the team
The Regional Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing the mission of Barnabas Aid by
building and nurturing relationships with churches, Christian organisations, and
individuals. The role aims to raise awareness, prayer, and financial support for the
persecuted church, fostering a network of engaged supporters and expanding the
organisation’s outreach.
Main duties and responsibilities
Strategy Implementation and Reporting:o Develop and execute regional outreach strategies aligned with organisational

o Maintain accurate records of engagements and donor activities using internal

Prayer Mobilisation:

Awareness Raising:

Role Overview:
Our Sport and Inclusion Tutor will lead, deliver and develop our intervention programmes, focusing on mentoring young people accessing our Tackle LIFE and Be You programmes. They will bring a wealth of teaching or youth work to our charity and use this experience to support some of the county’s most vulnerable young people. A normal week would include tutoring, sports delivery, and activities such as rock climbing and canoeing. It will also involve project management, as well as classroom coaching such as leadership and communication activities and working with the wider Foundation team to grow our reach in the local community.
The Person:

Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and design of our education and intervention programmes Tackle LIFE and Be You,
focusing on personal development, as well as physical and mental wellbeing.
- Create and deliver a range of high quality and engaging sports sessions and workshops for all ages, both classroom and practical activities, following structured curriculum appropriate content written by Blues Foundation.
- Have a strong understanding and experience with young people on a range of levels. Delivery will engage young people with some behavioral and/or emotional challenges, as well as some special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Project manage elements of our programmes, planning and preparing for each session, including liaising and negotiating with internal and external partners.
- Provide CPD to team members, supporting their understanding of delivery to a range of audiences.
- Practice high standards of health and safety and safeguarding, and understand the protocols and procedures needed to provide a safe and inclusive session.
- Proactively seek opportunities to grow their area of work and drive income into the charity through services.

Essential skills and experience:
- Experience in mentoring young people with a range of needs and managing complex behaviour issues.
- Experience of delivering inclusive sporting activities to children with a range of disabilities ranging from mild to complex.
- Experience of delivering sport in Primary, Middle and Secondary School environments.
- Experience in delivering a wide variety of high-quality classroom and practical based activities, as well as flexibility to adapt to the needs and challenges presented by the variety of young people.
- Experience and ability to communicate professionally across different levels including young people, school and college professionals, funders, and other key partners.

What will I be doing?
Working as a core part of our Cancer Awareness team to engage people face-to-face, providing information on cancer prevention, screening and early detection

Collecting and inputting data to evaluate local engagement activities
Getting involved with other Cancer Awareness outreach activity in the local community

The Role
The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.
The Stroke Support Coordinator will:
- Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
- Work alongside people affected by stroke with communication difficulties to plan and work towards recovery outcomes that are important to them, including secondary prevention needs.
- Enable stroke survivors and where appropriate family members/carers to develop independence and confidence in the use of tools and strategies to support communication.
- Provide personalised information, advice and support.
- Support stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
- Work collaboratively with Warrington NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference to the lives of people affected by stroke.
About You
You will:
- Have a background in a caring and/or charity profession supporting people with disabilities.
- Be able to demonstrate previous experience of working collaboratively with other organisations to achieve joint ambitions.
- Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs.
- Have the ability to use basic Microsoft system.

About this role:
This role supports the service across Bedford Borough. As a Team Leader for the Specialist Services team you will:
- Offer a consistent representative for the twice weekly MARAC
- Be a SPOC for the Front Door - giving advice and support around queries/ concerns about DA
- Carry a reduced caseload
- Support the Safe & Together model
- have line manage responsibilities including Bedford Borough IDVA
You will need:
- A qualification as an IDVA or ISAC
- Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships and pathways within a multi-agency and legislative framework
- Knowledge of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, safeguarding and risk assessments
- Practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements
- Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery
- Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus
- Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
- Work without direct supervision, prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner
- Gather, analyse and use information and evidence from different sources to solve problems and report on data quality and compliance
- Sound IT expertise with the ability to use a range of software including: Word, Excel and Case Management systems
- Self-aware and committed to own continuous development

As the national body for youth work, the NYA has a dual function. We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. In line with our charity mission and aims, we also champion youth work through research, advocacy, campaigns, and programmes.

About the Role

To support our mission we are seeking enthusiastic, skilled and JNC qualified professionals to join us as Academy Tutor/Assessor Associates.
Our Academy Tutor/Assessor Associates will deliver inspiring training, develop and review resources and ensure all activities are in line with both NYA and external expectations of quality and expertise.
The post will require a commitment to continuing engagement across the sector and beyond to ensure the NYA Academy’s work is rooted in the needs of young people and youth work.
The Academy Team are reflective expert trainers and facilitators. They support the development of knowledge and skills; deliver innovative and engaging training that benefits youth work and young people; and work with colleagues from the NYA and the wider field to ensure that youth work is promoted and protected, for the benefit of all young people.
The Academy Tutor will ensure the NYA is at the forefront of developing its products and services.
You will work alongside a committed, lively team working together to transform the lives of young people through the power of youth work.
Key responsibilities for this role will include:
- Developing and delivering training along with the development of programmes (including accredited training).
- Supporting learners and monitoring their progress through regular reviews and assessments.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of resources and processes.
- Building positive relationships with learners to promote their engagement and to achieve successful outcomes.
- Ensure all learners have a supportive and positive learning experience
- The post holder should promote the NYA’s extensive offer and maintaining its reputation in the fields of expertise.
- Ensuring the voice of young people is heard loudly across the NYA and in all aspects of our work.
- Ensure the NYA follows best safeguarding best practice.
- Ensure all operational activity and youth work content is to the highest quality, representing the position of NYA as the National Body for Youth Work in England.
- Participating in team meetings, session planning and evaluation meetings.
- Compliance with all NYA policies and procedures.
- Compliance with all safeguarding policies and health and safety requirements.
- Undertaking any identified training in line with the role including safeguarding and undergoing a DBS check.
