We are looking for a Food Enterprise Coordinator/ Lead- someone who will work collaboratively with existing partners and forge new relationships with local food businesses and enterprises to drive change in the food sector, embedding good food principles and practices throughout the supply chain and helping shape how people in Liverpool access food.

This is a new role at Feeding Liverpool. Therefore, we are open to hearing from candidates with diverse experiences about their ideas detailing how they would take this work forward. We would like candidates to think specifically about the following goals, set out in the Good Food Plan:

The role will enable the food alliance in Liverpool to embrace new voices and the perspectives of Liverpool’s social enterprises and local food businesses- an essential step in creating a more equitable food system for everybody in the city.

The Food Enterprise Coordinator/Lead will need to be hands-on and active within our communities. Feeding Liverpool aims to work flexibly with employees, and there will be the opportunity to work from home. However, given the nature of the role it is important that you will be able to commute to the office in Liverpool City Centre, and meetings across the city, on a regular basis.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Food Enterprise Coordinator/ Lead

Main Purpose of the Job:

• To support the development of a network of food businesses with the aim of establishing and embedding healthy and sustainable practices and values.

• Develop relationships with stakeholders within the food system to support the creation of shorter and more value based supply chains. 

• Develop initiatives, campaigns and strategies to promote good food businesses to the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop a network of food businesses with the aim of establishing and embedding healthy and sustainable practices and values.

• Be the food alliance’s main point of contact for Liverpool’s social, small and medium enterprises in the food sector. 

• Arrange and facilitate regular meetings to understand the challenges and priorities of the sector and how the food alliance can support them. 

• Work with existing partners to develop a Good Food Business Charter, and support other local food enterprises to become network members and adopt the principles set out in the charter. 

Develop relationships with stakeholders within the food system to support the creation of shorter and more value based supply chains. 

• Alongside key stakeholders, develop a shared definition of what ‘local food’ is, taking into account the capacity of the local supply chain and the needs of procurers.

• Work alongside local food system ‘actors’ to establish connections between procurers and the local supply chain, and identify barriers that require mitigation. 

• Support innovative ways to support local, value based supply chains taking effect. 

• Provide support for both established and newly developed local food access initiatives — including markets, food hubs, and community retail schemes — that enhance community access to healthy and sustainable food. 

Develop initiatives and campaigns to promote good food businesses to the public. 

• Explore existing activities that promote good food enterprises to the public in Liverpool, and align them to the Good Food Plan and Sustainable Food Place Silver Award application. 

• Promote Liverpool’s good food enterprises to the public through well-aligned campaigns, events, and communications.

General Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with Feeding Liverpool’s team, trustees, and external partners to achieve strategic objectives.

• Promote the ethos of the Good Food Plan in all activities.

• Maintain confidentiality and align all actions with Feeding Liverpool’s values.

Reporting to: Feeding Liverpool Director
Hours of Work: 30- 37.5 hours per week, subject to negotiation (some evening/weekend work may be required).
Notice Period: Three months
Salary: £27,500 - £37,000 per year, dependent on experience (pro rata).
Location: Liverpool region. Hybrid working at home, in communities and in Feeding Liverpool’s office (L1 area).

The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. • Assist in the implementation of Mothers’ Union’s fundraising strategy as defined by the annual Individual Giving fundraising budget and plan.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

The successful candidate will be working with adults in a residential setting delivering assessments, group sessions and one-to-one therapy to those admitted to the service. The post-holder will offer an intensive, abstinent-based programme with high levels of group therapy and a strong emphasis on aftercare support. The role will include facilitating specialist psycho-educational groups, 12 step, relapse prevention therapeutic groups and individual counselling sessions.

You will work closely with our Supported Housing team and be required to participate in regular team meetings. You will also be required to liaise with external agencies and work creatively to provide the most appropriate treatment plans for clients with complex needs. You may be required to cover occasional evening Aftercare groups.

Main Responsibilities
•  Undertake assessments of people entering the service through various referral sources.
•  Develop, facilitate, and review a group work programme that meets the needs of our clients. These might include dual diagnosis, trauma, cross-addiction, criminal justice issues and various types of substance use.
•  Provide a holistic package of care to people which meets their needs and includes working with colleagues across other teams to help residents with diversionary activities, employment, training, and education.
•  Work with the Supported Housing team to ensure residents are safe, secure, and maintain their tenancies and are prepared to move onto independent living.
•  Provide a range of one-to-one interventions that might include MI, person-centered care, CBT, DBT and trauma work.
•  Manage a caseload of individuals with a wide spectrum of needs.
•  Assist residents to understand the effects and benefits of any medication prescribed for them and the importance of complying with treatment regimes. This might include liaising with pharmacists, doctors, and psychiatrists for monitoring purposes.
•  Provide psychoeducation to raise awareness and understanding of substances and their effects.
•  Provide onward referral and liaison with wrap-around support within SCT to enable our residents to achieve social integration and personal development.

Client Management
•Coordinate and carry out assessments of new residents and the referral and acceptance process, ensuring that each client has a programme appropriate to their needs.
•  Conduct joint 3 and 6-monthly reviews with Supported Housing team colleagues.
•Provide group and individual counselling as required by the service.
•Support residents from admission until completion of treatment.

Operational Support
•Comply with all monitoring and evaluation requirements.

General Responsibilities
•Engage with and inspire people in recovery.
•Ensure a safe and secure environment for residents, free from alcohol and drugs, and free from abusive behaviour and exploitation.
•Ensure that all SCT activities are carried out with due regard to Health and Safety legislation, SCT policies and procedures, as well as good practice.
•Work within the policies and procedures of SCT.
•Implement SCT’s Equal Opportunities Policy, understanding its implication in the development of services to clients.
•Attend regular supervision sessions, both internal and external.
•Attend meetings within and on behalf of SCT as appropriate.
•Undertake other tasks consistent with the post or as delegated by your line manager.

Strategic Excellence
•Be an effective role model, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
•Work collaboratively with the Recovery Hub team.
•Ensure you are kept up to date with developments within the sector, thus enhancing your knowledge and practice
•Capture the outcomes of the therapeutic programme with all monitoring and evaluation methods that are required by your line manager, to capture the impact of SCT work, whilst ensuring the voice of SCT clients are heard.
Qualifications and Experience

ESSENTIAL
•   Educated to degree level or Diploma Level 4 in Counselling.
•Two years’ experience of therapeutic work with: people in recovery, people experiencing homelessness or people with significant trauma histories / adverse childhood experiences.
•   One year’s experience of one-to-one counselling.
•A solid working understanding of CBT, MI, Relapse Prevention techniques and/or other interventions applicable to working with people in recovery.
•Experience in delivering therapeutic group work.
•Experience in encouraging individuals to reflect on their behaviour (consequences and risks), recognise the benefits and potential for change and provide support and encouragement to help residents achieve change positively within an abstinent community.
•Using effective support systems and networks to develop own knowledge and practice.
•Adhere to the principles of confidentiality of information.
•The ability to understand and work with others’ points of view, values and beliefs.
•The ability to change working techniques based on new information or evidence.
•Able to encourage others to express their views, feelings and wishes.
•Contributes positively to debate within the staff team.
•Promotes SCT by their own standards of conduct.
•Encourages, values and respects contributions from other team members.
•Possesses good written and oral communication and IT skills.

DESIRABLE

£34,300 - £37,300 per annum

About the roles:

Camden’s Integrated Drug and Alcohol service is offering an incredible opportunity for individuals with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance use to join a pioneering team supporting others in their recovery journey. With one year of funding secured, we are seeking two passionate and dynamic individuals to take on specialist roles, based at both treatment sites and within Camden hostels. These roles will also involve working alongside the In-reach team and the Specialist Women’s team, allowing you to make a tangible impact on the lives of clients by helping to shape and enhance services for those who need them most. You will be a familiar, trusted face, guiding clients through their recovery journey, empowering them to access treatment and overcome barriers, while contributing your own insights to ensure services are truly supportive and accessible.

In these roles, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in trauma informed interventions, working alongside expert practitioners to transform how clients experience treatment. The focus is on creating safe, welcoming spaces for individuals to seek help without fear of further harm or trauma, while also engaging in meaningful activities that inspire positive change in their lives. Mind in Camden has the exciting permanent opportunity to recruit people to work on our leading Hearing Voices Projects.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to take responsibility for the day-to-day work of our innovative Hearing Voices Projects. To be successful in this role, you need to have an in-depth understanding of the Hearing Voices Movement and the role of peer support groups within this. You will ideally have experience of supervising or mentoring volunteers and some project management experience.

With the confidence and organisational skills necessary to take the lead on busy and diverse projects, you will be required to engage with a wide range of stakeholders (from the adult mental health, prison, forensic and youth sectors). As such, this role is best suited to someone who is flexible enough to modify their approach to suit the situation.

We are looking for someone with strong facilitation skills who is able to deliver and design training that communicates the values of the Hearing Voices Network clearly and accessibly.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Oversee the current Hearing Voices Projects to ensure they are consistent and embody the Mind in Camden and Hearing Voices Movement ethos.
• Be part of some of the frontline work, including facilitating groups.
• Build networks and deliver training sessions for the Hearing Voices Projects.
• Liaise with the finance department and ensure the projects are meeting targets for funders.
• Support relevant data monitoring and evaluation on the projects.

Role Summary

One in seven babies is born premature or sick and needing care on a neonatal unit – this isn’t what most parents expect for their baby.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for a Policy and Research Officer to join our enthusiastic and passionate and high-achieving team. While small, we punch above our weight having recently changed the law to secure parents of premature and sick babies' extra parental leave.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to help support our Research, Policy and Campaigns team and to create real impact along the way.  
 

• Location: Hybrid (a minimum of three of your days over two weeks will be worked in the Bliss Head Office, London SE1)
• Salary: £30,560 FTE, Permanent
• Terms: 30-35 hours a week 

Role Details

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in a wide-ranging role which will make a real difference to babies born premature or sick, and their families. You will support the team to support clinical research, spearhead campaigns and make impactful changes to policy across the UK. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

•At least one-year experience working in a research, campaigning or policy environment (in a paid role or in a voluntary capacity)
•Have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
•Can build strong, influential relationships 
•An understanding of the importance of service user voice in research
•Research skills and the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and issues
•Excellent organisational, project management and prioritisation skills.

What You’ll Do

• Trusts & grants: Work with the Development & Communications Manager to write and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

• Scout for, build and maintain relationships with existing and new funders, donors, and partners, ensuring ongoing engagement and support.

• Events: Plan, organise and manage fundraising events, including overseeing event logistics, participant engagement and post-event follow up.

• Work with the Development & Communications team to generate new, innovative fundraising concepts and bring them to fruition.

• Manage the database of funders and donors and ensure contact is up to date.

• Support with monitoring and evaluation, including reports to funders

• Work closely with the communications team to ensure coordinate donor and external communications, and to contribute to our social media presence

• Identify roles and responsibilities that could be delegated to volunteers to maximise their support, supervising those assigned to you.

• Represent the Sophie Hayes Foundation with colleagues at meetings and events with external stakeholders. This may include deputising for more senior colleagues on occasion.

• Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding across all activities.

• Other duties which may arise under the implementation of the new strategy, as directed by the Development & Communications Manager.

The role is a key part of the Doctors of the World (DOTW) UK Policy and Advocacy team, contributing to the implementation of our three-year strategy and maximising the impact of our policy and advocacy function. The team focuses on influencing UK health and migration policy, improving access to NHS services for minoritised communities and populations and strengthening the right to health in the UK.

The post holder will play a critical role in ensuring DOTW UK’s advocacy and influencing work is informed by our service users’ experiences and seeks to bring about the changes they want to see. To this end, the role will lead work with DOTWs expert by experience group, liaising and coordinating different engagement activities, identifying co-production opportunities and supporting members of the group to meaningfully participate in the organisation’s advocacy work and drive change.

IRW’s Office of the General Counsel Division is recruiting for the position of ‘Complaints & Compliance Administrator’ to join its dynamic team based in Birmingham, UK. The organisation is currently operating a hybrid working model.

Job purpose:

To assist with the day-to-day processing, reporting, oversight and management of a diverse range of incoming complaints and whistleblowing disclosures and appropriate escalation of complaints requiring escalation to relevant Area Leads.

The post will play an active role in providing support to the IRW Complaints Team ensuring compliance with associated policies and processes.  The role will involve the preparation of key documents and acting as a liaison with relevant internal and external stakeholders to compile and organise key information to support the work of the IRW Complaints Team. 

To provide support and assistance to the Policy and Compliance Manager in the effective and efficient management and administration of the Policy and Compliance function and wider needs of the Division.  To assist with ongoing reviews of internal or external policies and processes, production of resources, reports and associated materials and additional support as directed.

The successful candidate must have:

• A degree in a relevant qualification and/or significant experience suited to the wide remit of the role.
• Strong and seasoned analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and laterally, to overcome challenges.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail to ensure delivery of high-quality work.
