The role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial and ambitious Business Development Manager to lead our organisational efforts around income generation. The role is ideal for someone with experience in fundraising and/or business development interested in leading the work of a small but impactful and highly respected charity in the health and social care space.
At National Voices, fundraising responsibilities are shared across the organisation, so it is important that the successful candidate is able to work in a collaborative way with others and is just as happy with rolling up their sleeves and writing bids and supporting others to.

While your primary role will be raising funds for National Voices, you will need to be confident in acting as an ambassador for the organisation and in conveying who we are, what we do and the key priorities of our members and people who use health and care.
Responsibilities
Maintain and grow a strong pipeline of funders and clients
· Overseeing the work of our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer in bringing together weekly information on publicly advertised funding opportunities, periodically testing new search words in line with our strategic and commercial interests.
· Ensuring we have access to relevant tendering frameworks.
· Maintaining a pipeline of charitable Trusts and Foundations.
Write and submit bids, and support others to
· In some instances, leading on bid writing – drafting, costing and submitting high quality bids for both project and core funding.
· In other instances, buddying with staff members on bids – carrying out initial call with funders to check fit of projects, supporting with budget development, sharing previous relevant tender responses to support bid writing, supporting submission, leading on the social value response and more.
Support and co-ordinate fundraising efforts of the staff team
· Co-ordinating the triaging and prioritisation of funding bids within the team, in line with our strategic priorities.
· Matching project ideas from across the team with funding opportunities.
· Organising fundraising meetings and ensuring the organisational income generation tracker is up to date.
· Supporting members of the staff team to develop their business development and fundraising skills.
· Providing advice and support to the wider team on compliance with our organisational ethical fundraising policy, the ABPI code, the ABHI code and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
· Maintaining our rate card.
Maintain and develop relationships with prospective funders, clients and organisations we may wish to partner with on funded projects
· Maintaining and developing relationships with grant funding teams at pharmaceutical companies – keeping them updated on our priorities and pitching potential projects for grant funding.
· Alongside other managers and the Senior Management Team, maintaining and developing relationships with development teams at organisations we may want to partner with – consultancy firms, think tanks, research agencies and more.
Manage our partnership scheme
· Take lead responsibility for client management and renewals for organisations on our partnership scheme.
· Coordinate responses to partnership requests within our staff team. Co-ordinate, develop and oversee the delivery of our partnership offer.
General
· Line-manage staff, in the first instance our Membership, Development and Partnership Officer, to include appraisals, setting objectives, monitoring performance and supporting development.
· Review our income generation approach regularly and making suggestions for improvements, using insights from both successful and unsuccessful bids.
· Report progress on our income generation to the board on a quarterly basis.
· Take a pro-active approach to including our members and people with lived experience in all areas of our work.
· Follow processes set out to measure, monitor and communicate the impact of our work.
· Support good project, financial and data management.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

This Direct Marketing Manager role sits within the Individual Marketing Division and would manage the Age UK Individual Marketing Loyalty programme to retain supporters and grow repeat giving through delivering excellent supporter experiences, deepening our relationships with our charity audiences. The Opportunity

To support the range and depth of partnerships we have and the potential we see, we are looking for a Partnerships Manager to work primarily on building partnerships with Local Authorities and public sector organisations, charities and social enterprises, faith-based and inclusion-focused organisations and other groups who might help us strategically grow and resource the Warm Welcome network across the UK (NB Corporate Partnerships are managed by our newly appointed Fundraising Lead for Corporates). The Partnerships Manager will also help develop our support for Warm Welcome Spaces, including overseeing our Champions Programme which offers more intense support and a Community of Practice to a smaller cohort of local groups.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on the variety of connecting with a huge range of people and who is organised and systematic while at the same time has room for creativity and innovation.
Joining during an exciting period of growth, you will be inheriting a hugely diverse and highly engaged coalition of Warm Welcome Partners who have supported the campaign and local Spaces over the last 2 and a half years. At the same time, there remains a huge untapped potential in terms of possible partners and relationships to be developed and you will be working together with the Campaign Director and team to strategically identify and develop these new connections.

Responsibilities
Building Partnerships
● Developing our Partnership Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to help us grow the network and reach our ambition of 100% of the population living within a 30-minute walk of a registered Warm Welcome Space. This will involve identifying and engaging partners in geographical ‘cold spots’ for the network (utilising our mapping tool developed with UCL), as well as forming partnerships to unlock new or under-represented types of Warm Welcome Spaces (e.g. Housing Association Community Spaces, cinemas, community spaces created by new housing developments etc).
● Leading the development of our Local Co-ordinators Cluster which brings together Local Authorities and others who are leading place-based networks of community spaces.
● Overseeing and developing the Champions Programme, providing more intensive support and connections to a smaller cohort of Warm Welcome Spaces.
Engagement and Inclusion
● Developing our Inclusion Strategy to identify and engage the best potential partners to diversify our Coalition and support local Spaces to become more accessible and inclusive.
● Working with the team to develop regular engagement activities for Warm Welcome Partners.
● Producing compelling communications (written and verbal) to promote the work of the Warm Welcome Campaign and grow the depth and breadth of partnerships - to include but not limited to partnership proposals, pitches and reports.

Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. Some face health inequalities, live in areas affected by crime, or have recently arrived in the UK as refugees or asylum seekers.
We work closely with schools to provide targeted, high-impact literacy and numeracy programmes that give these children the chance to catch up, thrive, and believe in their potential. On average, our small-group tutoring helps pupils make 13 months of progress in just 10 hours - building not only essential skills, but also confidence, motivation, and a renewed sense of possibility.
The impact extends well beyond the classroom. By supporting children early, we help prevent the need for more complex and costly interventions later in life, from mental health support to exclusion and social care. About the role
We're looking for a dynamic, relationship-focused, and highly organised individual to oversee our teaching programmes, school partnerships, and tutor network.
This role is crucial to ensuring our programmes are high-quality, well-managed, and meeting the needs of schools. You will be the first point of contact for schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and SENCOs, and ensuring that we offer the right support at the right time.
You will manage our team of tutors, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to deliver our programmes to the highest standard. You will also oversee safeguarding and the measurement of programme impact, working closely with the fundraiser to ensure we have strong data for funding applications.

As part of our new 2025-2028 strategy we are partnering with ClearScore, the leading financial marketplace platform, to launch a new year-long study to prove the positive impact of financial education on financial wellbeing. ClearScore users in the study will be delivered three different types of financial education, across videos, workshops and other content, and then monitored against a control group for any improvements to their financial capability, their credit score, wider creditworthiness and ultimately their financial resilience, wellbeing and potentially access to credit. The effectiveness of the interventions will be robustly and independently assessed by an external evaluation partner, currently being recruited.
This study (and the resulting research outputs) has the potential to be transformative in the sector, and is kindly funded by the AVIVA Foundation, the charitable organisation which aims to help people deal with financial challenges. About The Role
We are looking for a project manager to take the day-to-day lead of The Money Charity x ClearScore Financial Education project. As well as management of the overall project, the role involves delivering on some specific intervention workstreams allocated to The Money Charity, and managing the relationship with the external evaluation partner conducting the study. Additionally, the post holder will be responsible for a small portfolio of other related projects focussed on building adult Financial Wellbeing.
This role would be ideal for a hands-on and engaging individual with a strong track record in delivering high-profile educational or customer-facing projects. A good knowledge of issues relating to money management, access to credit and personal finance is also important. The individual will need an ability to navigate the retail financial services landscape in the UK, as well as a good understanding of the not-for-profit sector. About Peer Support
We describe peer support as when people with shared experiences connect to build safe, trusting and non-judgemental relationships through which they learn and grow together. Paid peer support workers in mental health settings have experience of mental health problems and accessing mental health services, and are employed, trained and supported to use their experiences to support others.
About This Role
Darlington Mind are really pleased to be recruiting a Peer Support Worker to a new role within our adult recovery-focused services in Darlington as part of the Tees Valley peer support service.
The role is part of Community Transformation work in the Tees Valley and will be part of an exciting new collaborative service in partnership with Teesside Mind (with similar roles) and with TEWV NHS Foundation Trust who will have peer workers in their Community Mental Health Teams.
Community Transformation is part of the NHS Long Term Plan and represents a shift in the way we deliver care. It considers the whole person, beyond their diagnosis, and what the whole system has to offer, including primary care, local authority, voluntary care sector, alongside families and friends. We are working together to ensure we collectively deliver trauma-informed, person-centred care to meet an individual’s wide-ranging needs.
Role Purpose
You will work with individuals who have accessed adult day services within Darlington Mind and you will be an integrated and valued member of the wider team.
Drawing on your own experience of mental health problems, you will ‘walk alongside’ others on their journey and will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible.
You will listen non-judgementally to create safe spaces where people feel heard and approach the peer relationship with compassion and curiosity. You will recognise and value each person’s strengths, diversity and expertise in themselves. You will be aware of the impacts of trauma and committed to the importance of working in ways which are sensitive to the needs of trauma survivors.
Important parts of this role also include working within the team to help people’s voices be heard and to promote recovery values. You will be supported to challenge both individual and structural instances of stigma and discrimination related to mental health problems and other forms of exclusion.
At the start of the role, you will attend peer support training alongside other new team members from Mind and TEWV. This training is delivered by people with their own lived experience and experience working in peer roles.
Main Duties
· Provide 1-1 peer support to people accessing the service
· Hold and manage a caseload efficiently
· Set up and facilitate peer support groups
· Support service developments in the teams you work in
· Work as part of a wider mental health recovery-based system to support involvement and participation of people with lived experience
· Keep up to date records using online systems in line with policies and procedures
· Manage your own diary (using Microsoft Outlook)
Person Specification
All criteria are essential or otherwise stated
Knowledge and Qualifications
· Hold NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or have ability to work with information at this level and equivalent experience of providing peer support
· Knowledge of mental health problems and mental health services
· Knowledge of the Voluntary Sector and how it works with other Statutory and Non-statutory Services
· Knowledge of CHIME model of care (desirable)
· Safeguarding and safety planning practices
· Knowledge of local services (desirable)
Experience
· Personal experience of mental health problems and using mental health services
· Recent experience of using own lived experience to support others, for example in a paid, volunteer or informal peer support role
· Working in a community setting (desirable)
· Working as part of a team

· Excellent communication and active listening skills

What you’ll need:
- Proven experience managing an IT Service Desk
