Job Purpose

The finance team is a core part of our Operations Directorate, and although we’re a small team we have a huge impact on the effectiveness of our organisation. The team provides support and guidance to all staff members on how to process invoices, expenses, and generally manage their budgets effectively. The main purpose of the Finance Officer role is to provide key support to the finance team with our finance processes, supporting staff members across the organisation, helping with any queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as supporting our members and suppliers with queries. The Finance Officer ensures all financial transactions are processed in accordance with BSR’s procedures and processes and in line with data protection regulations. 

You don’t need to have worked in the charity sector previously. Continual professional development is vital for us as a team, and so we’re happy to support you if you’re interested in completing a professional finance qualification.

Main Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger 

• Receive all supplier invoices (including member expenses), checking correct finance codes with relevant nominal, department, project, VAT and fund codes are on all invoices, and that the necessary authorisation is present 
• Scan and file all finance related documents (e.g. bank statements)  
• Set up fortnightly supplier payment runs for review by the Finance Manager 

 Sales Ledger 

• Work with budget holders and project leads to produce sales invoices  
• Liaise with budget holders to ensure correct coding of all invoices (nominal, department, project, VAT, and fund codes) 
• Credit Control – dealing with customer queries and chasing for payments fortnightly 

Other Finance Responsibilities 

• Manage monthly credit card process including posting in Dext and reconciliation in Xero  
• Assist the Finance Manager with preparing for year end and audit fieldwork 
• Reconcile purchase ledger payments with the bank transactions 
• Run new starter finance inductions for budget holders and set up new staff on finance systems 
• Maintain process documents for all finance systems 
• Suggest and support relevant finance system and process improvements where identified 
• Be the first point of contact for finance systems and internal system integrations 

Payroll 

• Ensure new starters are processed by HR 
• Process leavers  
• Exported payroll reports and ensuring that they are filed in the correct place 
• Run the monthly payroll with Finance Manager 
• Submission of EPS and FPS to HMRC 

Committee Management 

•  Minute-taking for Finance & Risk Committee meetings

About the role:

As a Project Worker Complex Needs in our ELMS Service, you will have the rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals living with paranoid schizophrenia and other complex needs. 2. Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a full time (37.5hrs per week) Executive and Office Assistant to support the Finance and Resources team at Chance to Shine. The Finance and Resources team provide day to day support to all departments in the charity and trading subsidiary, Chance to Shine Enterprises Ltd, around finance, office, governance, HR and general administration. The role is expected to be largely in person in our central London office.

3. Key Responsibilities

The Executive and Office Assistant’s responsibilities are in three areas:

Office Administration:

· Act as ‘front of house’ for visitors and guests and be first point of contact for telephone enquiries and ensure the office space is fully operational.

· Monitor the charity inbox and respond to general enquiries.

· Oversee and monitor the Office and Administration budget.

· Liaise with the office landlord, regarding the general office space, car-parking, meeting rooms and staff access. 

· Help manage offsite storage space.

· Administer IT support processes, first point of contact for IT support issues and managing IT supplier contracts; and administering staff IT requirements.

· Maintain up to date shared document area on sharepoint.

· Act as Health and Safety Officer responsible for all Health and Safety matters, and attend training as necessary.

Executive Support

· Support the CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT) on organising and following up internal meetings, Board meetings and company wide initiatives.

· Provide governance support to the CEO, Director of Finance and Resources and Trustees.

HR Support

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to provide sound financial management for the Association and CET through:

• Statutory financial reporting in line with Charity SORP/UK GAAP, including annual returns to Companies House and the Charity Commission

The Fundraising Executive (maternity cover) is a key part of our small but busy Community and Events Fundraising Team, leading on key fundraising events and activities, personally supporting individual fundraisers and giving support to the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager. Here at Construction Youth Trust, we're on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are excited to learn and ready to dive into a supported internship. We are particularly looking for individuals at the start of their career interested in working directly with young people within our Delivery Team

As a Delivery Team Intern, your key duties and responsibilities could include:

· Supporting the team to deliver fun and engaging programmes and activities for young people to get them ready for the working world by building on their skills and confidence.

· Supporting the team in the development of effective long-term working relationships with schools and referral partners.

· Supporting the team to enlist, manage and coordinate the support of local industry partners to connect young people with opportunities and employers that match their unique strengths and interests.

· Supporting the team with administrative tasks, helping to register, monitor, and evaluate the young people participating in programmes and activities.

· Please note that you will be required to travel across London regularly

About You

What we’re looking for in our new Intern(s) includes:

· Ideally educated to Level 3 (BTEC, A- Level, etc) or equivalent experience.

· Enthusiastic about connecting young people to opportunities, particularly those facing significant barriers to work.

· Have a ‘can-do’ attitude, as our Intern you will be expected to get involved in a variety of our programmes and activities.

• Support the team to manage the communications our Existing Supporters are receiving from teams across the organisation

• Work with the supporter engagement team to manage Parkinson’s UK Supporter communications calendar

• Support the Senior Journeys Officer to map supporter journeys across the organisation

• Support reporting and analysis of Existing Supporter communications to inform future plans

• Use understanding and insight to identify gaps in the supporter journey

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

CCT has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration. All churches in our care are listed, mostly Grade I and II*, and some are Scheduled Ancient Monuments.

Without our care, these buildings might have disappeared entirely. Instead, they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.

Overall job purpose

In recent years, CCT has experienced great success in applying to grant funders, including Trust and Foundations, Landfill Communities Fund, and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. 

CCT’s 2025 -30 strategy focuses on delivering conservation projects across our estate and securing income from grant funders will be crucial.  We will also work with local communities to address smaller conservation projects via the Community Initiative Framework.

The Grants Officer will research and identify relevant funding opportunities, build a healthy pipeline, and submit applications for project funding to meet fundraising targets during an exciting period of growth.

There will be requirement for occasional travel for project visits and team meetings.
