What the job involves
We’re looking an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our high performing Events and Community Team. The team are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.
Our team raise funds through a range of activities including:
- Our own events (e.g. March for Men)
- Virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)
- Third party events (e.g. London Marathon)
- Golf Days
- Helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity
You’ll be supporting our third-party events programme and be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin support for our registration processes and support fundraisers through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience.
Whilst third party events will be your primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also get the chance to work across teams to provide support where needed during busy periods of activity.
This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Enthuse. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.
You’ll also work with our Communications teams supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract: Permanent, subject to a five-month probationary period
Hours: full-time, 28-35 hours per week. Youth Realities hosts a fortnightly 4-day working week policy.
Location: Hybrid working, with in-person requirements from Youth Realities’ office in Colindale (NW9 5XW) and attending events where required in London.
Salary: £46,800 - this is based on current resource and trustees are open to salary increases as funding becomes available.
Start date: August 2024.

Founded in 2016 and formally established in 2017, Youth Realities is a specialist youth and survivor-led charity supporting young people, primarily young women and girls aged 11-25, impacted by teenage relationship abuse.

DFN Project Search is a national charity committed to transforming the lives of young adults with a learning disability, autism spectrum condition, or both. They do this through working in partnership with companies from across a range of industries in the public and private sectors, schools and colleges, local authorities and specialist employment providers, to deliver a year-long supported internship that helps these young adults transition from education to the world of work. The Role
This newly formed role will be the perfect opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to establish a thriving corporate partnerships career; there are significant opportunities to develop existing and new relationships and create transformational corporate partnerships that change the lives of young adults.
The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in developing and managing corporate relationships, responsibilities include researching and identifying potential partners, generating leads through networking, and preparing compelling pitches. The postholder will collaborate closely with colleagues across the Charity and contribute to the development and implementation of both the corporate partnerships and overarching fundraising strategy.

The role will suit a commercially minded, emotionally intelligent and collaborative person. You will be able to demonstrate experience in building and developing a pipeline of prospect partners, collaboration with key internal stakeholders, and have a proactive approach to new business, possess excellent communication skills and ultimately have the ability to deliver long-term, strategic funding opportunities.

What you will need

You've got a proven track record of making the ask at the five/six figure mark. You create inspiring and emotive proposals, tailored to the individual with a focus on outcomes and impact. You thrive in a homeworking environment, managing your time well and organising a pipeline of work independently. Whilst previous philanthropy experience would come in handy, we are open to applications from fundraisers with transferable skills and experience in other income streams but you must be able to demonstrate you understand the theory of how Philanthropy works. What we'll also need you to demonstrate is a talent for relationship building and a passion for stewardship; the ability to listen carefully and intuitively to shape opportunities for donors to give. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Officer to join a health related charity.
