The Role

Working alongside the existing Community Fundraiser in London, this role will engage with the Dioceses in Westminster, Brentford & East Anglia to establish and strengthen links to individual bishops and diocesan communications staff. Attend parishes to deliver weekend fundraising appeals as well as giving talks and presentations to parish groups. Developing strong links for the organisation with educational and pastoral networks in Schools, Colleges and Universities in order to build relationships and support them in delivering the organisation's Schools Programme and expanding the take up of the programme, increasing school engagement and delivering assemblies in person and virtually.

The post holder will be part of a thriving, positive Community Outreach team culture. Working collaboratively across the team and the freedom to make full use of individual experience and specific skill sets will be the norm.

This post reports to the Head of Community Outreach in support of objectives set out in the organisation's overall 10-year plan. The post will focus on agreed aspects of the fundraising and marketing strategy which contributes to the overall aim of providing more Aid to the Church in Need. Work will be carried out across parishes, schools and our broader benefactor base in the area to which the post holder is appointed.

Responsibilities:

• Awareness - to raise the level of awareness of the activities of this Catholic charity's pastoral and spiritual work;
• Names - to increase the number of active benefactors of Aid to the Church in Need by collecting the names and contact details of those who wish to receive information about our work;
• Donations - to produce income for the charity by inspiring people to make donations;
• Sale of the organisation's Trading items - to produce income by marketing and selling a selection of the organisation's Trading items;
• Engagement - to increase engagement within schools and universities and among the broader community by recruiting and managing Parish Representatives and independent
• Fundraising Groups and by providing initial contact with High Value prospects.

About You

This post is ideal for a creative, enthusiastic fundraiser who is

self-motivated, willing to learn from others and keen to make a real difference in the lives of suffering and persecuted Christians around the world.

• Practising Catholic and in-depth understanding of the Catholic faith and Church teachings.
• Excellent personal connections on a regional or diocesan level with clergy, schools or special interest groups.
• Ideally, with professional experience in Community Fundraising, but experience in other fundraising areas will be considered.
• Confident communicator and public speaker.
• Excellent communication skills and manner at all levels both over the telephone and in person.
• Clarity and sensitivity when communicating with benefactors and members of the clergy in person and in writing.
• Excellent eye for detail and proofing skills.
• Good organisational and administration skills.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills.
• Hold a driving licence, have access to a car and be prepared to travel with occasional overnight stays.

Chuf has been on an incredible journey over the past few years. With a mission to improve the lives of children and young people with heart conditions by providing lifelong support, Chuf funds large and small pieces of equipment, facilities, aftercare, salaries, and research that run alongside holistic care projects. Chuf supports the Children's Heart Unit at Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and the six district hospitals across the North East of England. The Heart Unit at Freeman Hospital treats over four thousand patients each year from all over the UK and is one of only two children's heart transplant units in the UK.

About the role:

As Trust Fundraiser, you'll be primarily focussed on raising funds through trusts and foundations to help Chuf deliver their ambitious 2024-27 fundraising strategy. A good chunk of this will be project based. You'll also be part of the Chuf fundraising team, so you'll be getting involved with all income generating activities. This will include assisting in the delivery of Chuf's in Memory Giving strategy through maintaining donors and providing fantastic stewardship. You'll also help the Director of Fundraising to achieve Chuf 's legacy strategy by maximising income generation through gifts in wills. First and foremost, you'll be a Chuf Fundraiser; making sure supporters receive first-class supporter care.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. The Candidate

Strong experience of working in statutory and/or trusts fundraising, including successfully applying for grants in excess of £50,000+

Substantial experience interpreting and translating material into compelling content for successful proposals.

Demonstrable strong project and account management abilities.

Confident in the development of budgets to meet proposal requirements.

Strong problem solving ability and confidence to bring in new ideas and drive them forward

Experience of writing and communicating for different mediums and channels and applying writing and branding requirements to reports and documents.

Already one of the best performing NHS Charities in the sector, with an annual income of £4m, we have a new opening for an inspirational and committed Deputy Director Fundraising Communications to lead our fundraising and communications strategies and to take our income to a new level.
 
We have ambitious plans to support the NHS here in Nottingham by running multiple £m campaigns across a range of services, including our Children’s Hospital and our Regional Cancer Centre.
 
Every day hundreds of patients and families choose to support Nottingham’s NHS hospital because of the incredible care they have received.
 
Your role will be to develop a strategy that increases our supporter acquisition, improves our donor retention and maximises that support to reach our goals.
 
You will need to be a strategist and a detailed analyst, excel with budgets, reports and presentations, and lead a team of committed fundraisers across a range of income streams.
 
You will be a natural and enthusiastic leader, who can direct, support and inspire a high-performing team.
 
With experience of working in a complex environment, you will be organised with a high-level of attention to detail, plus have the ability to work alongside adjacent departments in Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
 
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, creative, ambitious and team-oriented, with proven experience working for a fast-paced organisation.
 
As well as evidence of high-level strategic thinking, you will be comfortable diving into the day-to-day work, and so a broad skill set is a must together with a sharp focus on delivering return-on-investment, demonstrating impact of campaigns on revenue, and building our audiences.
 
This is a complex role requiring a high level of political acumen, excellent relationship skills and a desire to improve our ability and capacity to generate income at every level, from digital fundraising to major gifts.
 
The Charity has been serving the Hospital Trust for 17 years and has given over £60m funding for specialist equipment, medical research, enhancements to the hospital environment, and staff wellbeing and support programmes.

Data Integration Officer, 12 Month Contract
Children's Charity, Central London (Hybrid working offered, 2 days a week in the office)
Salary - £39,000

Charity People are delighted to be working with a world-famous Children's Charity in Central London to recruit a Data Integration Officer to work on a 12-month contract.

The Charity uses Salesforce as its main CRM solution. It is used to manage the data of fundraisers, volunteers, events and donations. The Charity is in the process of implementing Boomi as it's middleware solution and are looking for a Data Integration Officer to play a key role in making the project a success.

Working within a small team, the ideal candidate for this position is someone who enjoys and excels in designing, developing, and implementing integration processes that connect different business systems, ensuring seamless data flow and optimal performance. Your role will involve collaborating with the Database Officers and Business Analysts to understand business requirements along with supporting the Database Officers and QA Tester with testing within the Boomi platform.

As a Data Integration Officer, the postholder must also demonstrate an excellent technical skillset both in terms of their data manipulation and administration skills, and in their consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated with a "can do" / problem solver approach and desire to deliver added value and improvements on an ongoing basis.

You will have experience of managing and importing bulk data along with experience of data integration into Salesforce using middleware solution. Furthermore, an understanding of delivering a large software implementation project would be ideal. We welcome applications from both the Charity sector and the non-Charity sector.
