You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a desire to develop the futures of young Londoners. You will relish the challenge of helping us to grow our income by building and supporting relationships with a wide range of Trusts and Foundations, some of whom have supported us for many years.  In addition to this, you will work under the leadership of our Fundraising Manager to offer support across other areas of fundraising work including corporate and events.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and experienced fundraiser, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, within the charity sector. They will be a natural relationship builder both internally and externally, someone who people want to engage with and support. Being proactive is also an essential skill, always on the look out for new fundraising opportunities and the drive to take them forward.

About the role

This is a new role in the Children on the Edge team, working with the Grants Manager to maximise funding from foundations and grant makers, and helping to grow our grants income (currently around £1.2m). You will be managing and growing a portfolio of funders, and identifying and nurturing new relationships with potential funders. 

You will deliver effective prospecting, write compelling applications and create impactful reporting to new and current funders; helping to achieve the wider fundraising strategy of building and sustaining a broad base of restricted and unrestricted funding.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated fundraiser to join a small and dynamic organisation. You will be championing and fundraising for community led programmes that create protective environments full of hope, life, colour and fun. . 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have an interest and understanding of community led international development and a passion for Children on the Edge’s distinctive approach and work.

You will have excellent communication skills, and a naturally pro-active and collaborative approach. You will enjoy creating compelling applications, narrative and financial reports for funders, be results-driven and have the self motivation and drive to deliver against deadlines.

Fundraising Assistant

BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. Main purpose and scope of Role

This role will play key to engaging with and supporting PTAs across the region, as well as a variety of stakeholders such as schools, parent groups, local authorities, potential sponsors or supporters and other organisations as our suite of programmes grows. This role initially focuses on the following, but is subject to change as programmes are launched or evolved:

PTA Programme

• Growing our network of PTAs.
• Supporting PTAs through leadership transition to minimise PTAs closing unnecessarily.
• Organising gatherings of PTAs to enhance the PTA community.
• Providing training and awareness sessions for PTAs.
• Providing community support to PTAs during peak activity periods online or by phone.
• Helping schools establish PTAs and supporting them during their first year through our new PTA Launchpad programme.
• Hosting and co-ordinating virtual webinars/meetings to demonstrate the value of PTA membership and the support available. 

Parent Programme

• Raising awareness of Parentkind’s growing programme of support for parents, directly or indirectly through schools or other partners.
• Building relationships with parent groups to support engagement with our growing suite of parent support opportunities.
• Organising events for parents as part of our Parent Programme.
• Building relationships with regional stakeholders to support Parent Programme activities.

Other Programmes/Services

• Encouraging uptake or (when charged) sales of our broad and growing suite of programmes and services.
• Identifying and engaging with local and regional partners for our range of programmes.
• Feeding into programme design.

Wider Stakeholder Engagement:

• Attending appropriate conferences and educational meetings across the region. 
• Developing relationships with key local authorities and individuals so they advocate our services and the benefits of our programmes
• Developing relationships with MATs so that they can advocate Parentkind and the benefits of its programmes.
• Identify any opportunities for external funding to from LA’s, Companies, or other funders with the support of our fundraising team.

Organisational Effectiveness: 

• Create and implement operational annual plans and schedules to support our regional targets, ensuring that time specific milestones for their delivery are met.
• Regularly report on the health of our campaigns within your region, through identified KPIs and organisational targets.
• Ensure all knowledge and information is recorded, processed and maintained according to good administration practice.

General

• To keep abreast of relevant educational policy and legislation affecting our key audiences.
• To be flexible within the broad remit of the post.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Since 2003, Tender’s work has grown and diversified from a single workshop programme delivered to schools, into a broader range of programmes reaching both children and young people and professionals with a safeguarding responsibility such as teachers, youth workers, social care workers and foster carers. About the role: We now have a need for a coordinator to work closely with the whole development team (comprising a Development Director, Development Manager, Development Officer, Major Donor Consultant and the CEO) in coordinating all aspects of our fundraising work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding applications through to successfully managing relationships with funders. SENIOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY WORKER

LOCATION: ENACT, 52 ISLAND CENTRE WAY, ENFIELD, EN3 6GS

Enact have a vacancy for a Senior Youth and Community Worker to lead our open-access community youth provision.  We are looking for an experienced youth practitioner to manage our youth team and work within the enact team to develop a range of engaging activities and training opportunities for young people with particular focus on those aged 10 to 19 in the Enfield community. 

The Senior Youth and Community Worker needs to be a passionate, enthusiastic and professional. They will lead the youth team to create community-based opportunities for the whole family, in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis. The Senior Youth worker will also support the enact team to develop and be involved in community cohesion projects involving children, families and youth.

About you 
As our Marketing Manager (Legacies and Mid Value), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the marketing strategy and delivery for these two priority areas, building deep connections with supporters, prompting action, and driving income growth. Working closely with the Senior Manager (Legacies and Mid Value), your focus will be on working with the team to attract and steward supporters, growing consideration and donations and delivering a sector-leading legacy and mid-value programme. Here you'll play a pivotal role in driving effective marketing campaigns that connect deeply with our supporters, inspire action, and fuel our mission to create lasting change for children worldwide. 

In this role, you will: 

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to retain and engage supporters, leveraging insights and data to build enduring relationships. 
• Execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aimed at driving ambitious income and loyalty targets. 
• Lead legacy and mid value marketing efforts across Direct Mail, Telemarketing, and digital channels. 
• Craft a cohesive supporter experience across all touchpoints, fostering deeper engagement and long-term value. 
• Develop compelling marketing assets and content plans that drive engagement and action. 
• Foster relationships with external partners, motivating them to deliver excellence for Save the Children. 
• Analyse marketing effectiveness, utilizing supporter insight and data analysis to drive continuous improvement.

To be successful, it is important that you have: 

• Experience in growing existing customer or supporter value. 
• Proven experience of planning direct marketing campaigns, including campaign development and data led decision making. 
• Possesses technical skills in retention marketing, supporter stewardship, and audience planning. 
• Expertise in multiple channels, such as Telemarketing, print and digital. 
• Project management experience with the ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget. 
• Effective management of external partners, such as telemarketing agencies, creative agencies, and fulfilment agencies. 
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills for data analysis. 

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK. However, for this role, you will be required to work from our Farringdon Office in London on average 1 day a week. Travel costs to your contracted office will be at your own expense.

Each Youth Mentoring Practitioner’s primary purpose is to develop and deliver quality and safe 1-2-1 and small group personalised support for young people.

· Have recent and proven experience with inner city young people.

· Can co-develop and co-deliver inclusive and supportive programmes with young people.

· Are comfortable working on their own or in a team.

· Can enable us to improve our service and opportunities for young people.
