Represent Individual Giving at events and external initiatives such as Hospice Care Week and Dying Matters Week.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team to provide administrative and event delivery support across all event and fundraising activities. This will include a wide range of admin and support tasks pre-event, onsite and post-event for the BOA’s flagship event, BOA Annual Congress, and other educational, social and fundraising events, both face to face and virtual, delivered by the team. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for maintaining comprehensive administration systems across the events and fundraising team, corresponding with members, Stakeholders, delegates, fundraisers etc, using the CRM database, updating event and fundraising content on the BOA website, and supporting content creation for social media.

We have an exciting secondment opportunity for a Case Manager to provide maternity cover as part of the Drive Project in Lancashire. Drive in Lancashire currently covers Blackpool, Wyre, Fylde, Lancaster and Morecambe.

About the Role

As a Case Manager you will strive to make contact and work on a one-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. To do this you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risk, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.

You will work closely with the IDVA's (integrated partner support) to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved. You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse and /or mental health, substance misuse and offending.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. About the role:

This role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, but will be based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following our mandatory six month probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire will be required.

Purpose

We are looking for a proactive and organised individual ensuring that all of Ella’s premises,  including the office, community hub, and safe houses,  are safe, compliant, well-maintained, and a welcoming environment for staff and service users. This role combines practical facilities work with proactive oversight of supplier management and property maintenance systems.

You will play a key role in maintaining the smooth daily running of our operations, managing contractors and compliance records, and supporting Ella's growth and improvement in facilities management.

Facilities management

• Oversee the maintenance and smooth operation of Ella’s office, community hub, and supported accommodation.

• Manage supplier and contractor relationships, including procurement, tendering, and ongoing performance monitoring.

• Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments across all properties, ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.

• Maintain clear records of repairs, inspections, and contracts in the central facilities log.

• Ensure the office and community hub are fully equipped, stocked, and operational, maintaining an organised and professional environment.

• Ensure accurate stock records are maintained and inventories are completed across all sites.

Property inspections and maintenance

• Conduct regular inspections of all Ella’s properties to identify and address maintenance and safety issues.

• Manage the safehouse repairs and maintenance log, ensuring timely responses and communication with caseworkers and residents.

Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. ‘Energy Check’ is a new project run by Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG) as part of our Sustainable Business Network. Around 30% of Surrey’s emissions are from commercial premises, and whilst SMEs are agile, and can collaboratively make significant reductions in Surrey’s overall carbon footprint, they often lack the resource, knowledge and funding to take action. This project aims to support 30+ small businesses by providing high level energy assessments which give actionable recommendations to reduce energy use, bills and improve sustainability. 

Zero Carbon Guildford is a Surrey-based charity tackling environmental challenges with practical, local solutions that make a real difference. From supporting energy efficiency in homes to monitoring water quality and reducing food waste, we’re helping to make Guildford and Surrey greener, healthier, and fairer places to live.

This role is part of the Community Energy People project, funded by the National Lottery. 

About the Role

• Contract: Fixed term to April 2027

The Business Energy Assessor will be the sole member of staff working on this project. The role holder will be responsible for booking and carrying out high level energy assessments for small businesses across Surrey, and providing recommendations and light touch follow up support to those businesses. They will sit in the Zero Carbon Guildford team, with support from both staff and the Sustainable Business Network volunteers. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide high level on-site energy assessments and written reports with energy saving and decarbonisation recommendations to micro and small businesses in Surrey.

• Manage the booking system and be the single point of contact liaising with businesses throughout the process, from registration to post-assessment feedback.

• Follow up with businesses after assessments to provide light-touch support to implement recommendations. 

• Collate feedback and learnings from the assessment process to support developing the project in future years.

• Understand and communicate current available grant offerings and any other appropriate support available to customers. 

• Work with ZCG marketing and operations team to promote the project to potential users and the general public. 

• Report project progress to the ZCG staff team and Sustainable Business Network core team. 

Training and development

• Option to train and qualify as a Non Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA), funded by ZCG, with 50% of training time included in the role’s hours.

• If this option is taken up, the role-holder will be contracted to either stay in the role for at least 6 months following completion of the training, or to repay ZCG the cost of the training.
