This is a new and significant role for our charity, offering the chance to contribute fresh ideas and see the direct results of your work. This role involves travel and occasional overnight stays (with mileage reimbursed) across England and North Wales. While we prioritise the use of public transport this is not always feasible. Therefore, a valid driving licence is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Collect and Curate Impact Content

• Create compelling, emotionally resonant stories and visual content that demonstrate our impact, working closely with colleagues to ensure all materials are brand-aligned, accessible, and consistent in tone and style.

Design Campaign Materials and Reports

• Deliver digital campaigns by tailoring communications for key donor audiences, continually testing to optimise reach and engagement.

Digital Communications Oversight

• Manage social media content in partnership with the Digital Manager, using analytics to optimise performance and identifying emerging digital trends to enhance supporter engagement and income.
• Collaborate across teams to improve supporter journeys and digital engagement, while motivating ambassadors and influencers to amplify our reach and grow income.

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering the South East of England, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Essex.

Post holders will be expected to undertake holistic assessment of need both remotely (over the telephone and online) and when required in person across their region. You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required. The successful candidate for this role will need to be Enhanced DBS checked and prove they have the right to work in the UK.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have;

• had at least 2 years of experience as a manager in a fundraising team with responsibility for leading, motivating, directing and monitoring the daily activities of others and facilitating professional development

• Experience of planning and delivery of fundraising events and/ or campaigns

The Sporting Events Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals taking on sporting challenges and effectively managing relationships to maximise income.

As Sporting Events Administrator, you will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. You will work closely with the Sporting Event Managers (SEM) and Sporting Event Officers (SEO) to drive the continued growth of the charity’s sporting event fundraising income. You will also be required to show excellent organisation and relationship-building skills to support supporters.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Provide excellent customer service to Sporting Event fundraisers, to acknowledge support and increase long-term loyalty.

· Keep up to date with fundraising legislation and codes of practice to be able to provide relevant advice to fundraisers.

· Taking the opportunity to maximise income and long-term support with every fundraising supporter, suggesting ARUK fundraising products where appropriate.

· Schedule and deliver stewardship good luck calls for all portfolio sporting eventers.

· Drafting prompt, professional thank you letters and certificates to fundraising supporters.

· Fundraising data management includes adding new constituents to the fundraising database (Salesforce), ensuring details are accurately recorded and maintained and that supporters are appropriately thanked.

· Manage external lead generation platforms (e.g., Let's Do This) to identify, contact, and convert potential participants into supporters, ensuring consistent and timely engagement.

· Managing emails sent to sporting events inbox.

Events Support

· Support in the effective delivery of sporting fundraising events for ARUK.

· May include relationship management with Third-Party event providers.

· Attendance of weekend events where necessary.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Main Responsibilities:
The HR Assistant will work closely with line manager as part of the HR team to provide effective administrative and operational support across all HR functions. You will lead and manage the organisation’s portfolio of social mobility leadership strands, and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders. You will provide dynamic day-to-day leadership for the MTL’s directorate responsible for income generation, impact, research, communications and policy, and ensure the organisation continues to be an exemplar of innovation, integrity and collaboration. You will also be contributing to, implementing and monitoring delivery of the organisation’s strategic plan.
