About this key role

The role:

The role will assist in providing a quality service to clients through face to face, telephone and digital gateway assessment by supplying accurate, personalised, relevant information and guidance. You must have:

• Recent experience of undertaking the role of Gateway Assessor or of providing information, advice and guidance to the public either through face to face, telephone and emails including experience of exploring clients’ problems and identifying appropriate next steps.
• An understanding of the main enquiry issues involved in assessing clients' problems
• Experience of using interpersonal skills, including sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand the needs of others, especially in the context of telephony
• To understand, empathise with and be committed to the Service’s aims, principles and equal opportunities policies

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Gateway Assessor to be fast tracked through the full Citizens Advice Generalist Adviser training programme within 6 months. Once assessed as having satisfactorily completed the initial six months training you will be issued with a new job description as a Generalist Advice Caseworker on a starting salary of £35,689 per annum.

We are looking for an experienced money advice caseworker to join our friendly and hard-working team to deliver a high-quality debt advice service for local people in Southwark.

This role will provide in-depth debt advice casework and wrap around support for vulnerable local people.

You will have:

• Recent and ongoing paid or voluntary experience of managing your own caseload of money advice and income maximisation cases.
• Ability to write detailed up to date case notes, letters and reports as required in plain English.
• Ability to manage a challenging caseload, meet targets and prioritise work in the face of competing demands on your time.
• Ability to respond sensitively to clients from a variety of backgrounds who are under pressure and negotiate with third parties in order to minimise conflict.

About the Role 

The Content Creator will play a vital role in helping Urban Saints communicate with clarity, creativity, and consistency across all platforms. From video editing and creating social media graphics, to designing resources, brochures, or branded assets, this role is responsible for creating visually engaging content that amplifies our message and inspires action.

You'll be responsible for:

• Designing and producing compelling visual content across digital and print formats.
• Filming and editing videos for campaigns, training materials and resources.
• Managing and editing visual assets, including team-supplied images.
• Contributing ideas and visual concepts to support campaigns and storytelling.
• Acting as a brand guardian for visual content, ensuring consistency across all channels.
• Working closely with other members of the Communications team to deliver content for campaigns, training, and wider initiatives.

Please note, this is predominantly a remote role, but with travel as the role requires. All full-time Urban Saints employees are required to attend two team residentials per year (3 days/ 2 nights each).

About You

You'll shape and deliver high-quality content that supports campaigns, promotes our training and resources, and strengthens Urban Saints’ brand both online and in print.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong design and video editing skills across digital and print formats.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut etc)
• Confident in video production – from filming to postproduction.
• Ability to develop content for a range of platforms including social media, web, email, and YouTube.
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
• Proven experience in a content creation, multimedia, or graphic design role.
• Experience creating visual content as part of multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, social media, website etc).
• Experience working with brand guidelines and visual identities.
• Understanding of digital content trends, platform specifications, and audience behaviour.

As our Corporate Partnerships Officer, you will provide critical support across all functions of the Corporate Partnerships Team and work closely with Corporate Partnership Team Managers to drive sustainable change.

• Lead on administrative support for the Corporate Partnerships Team
• Support the delivery of high-quality partnerships with corporate partners.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Experience in a charity fundraising, partnerships and/or customer service role.
• Endless drive, enthusiasm and ability to work under own initiative/independently to produce high quality results and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation and face-to-face. 
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide excellent customer service and support to companies or individuals at all levels.
• Strong administrative and IT skills – including spreadsheets – and experience of using customer databases (training given).

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience and knowledge of corporate responsibility/sustainability
• Experience of working or volunteering in the voluntary sector
