A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager with a national charity for unpaid carers on a permanent, part-time (28 hours per week) basis. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the financial accounting functions of the organisation, for the preparation of statutory accounts, regular management reports, the preparation of all tax returns, supporting budget holders and assisting them fulfil their responsibilities, and for compliance with statutory requirements including compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Please note, hybrid working is in place with this organisation, and you will be required to go into the office every Wednesday. Additionally, the salary on show is the FTE. 

As Finance Manager, you will:

- Manage the financial accounting function of the organisation

- Prepare monthly management accounts for budget holders and senior management team

- Verify and validate the restricted funds accounts and reports and incorporate into the main accounting and reporting systems

- Line manage the Finance Officer including conducting appraisals and supporting development

- Prepare the year-end audit files and statutory accounts in line with SORP, the Charities Acts and liaise with the auditors, bankers and other agencies as appropriate and relevant

The successful applicant will:

- Have demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role

- Be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

- Have the ability to use Excel to a high standard to record, analyse and compare data quickly and effectively

- Have strong knowledge of the latest Charities SORP and Companies Act

- Have line management experience

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic and organised Community and Events Manager to lead and grow Playskill’s community and events fundraising stream.  This role is vital to increasing awareness and generating income to support our services, through meaningful community engagement and events.

You will be responsible for managing and developing our annual events (including The Playskill Golf Day), introducing new local fundraising opportunities, and building relationships within community groups.  You will also line manage the Fundraising Officer, helping to support their contribution to the fundraising team.

Trust and Foundaction Stategy Enhancement

• Develop and execute a trust fundraising strategy to increase income and position the Charity as a credible, evidence-led delivery partner for funders
• Meet income targets aligned with the Charity's growth strategy, to fund both core programmes and capital projects, prioritising multi-year funding opportunities
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective funders, ensuring regular and meaningful engagement

Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit a Trust Fundraiser and Prospect Researcher to support with identifying and evaluating potential donors

• Collaborate with colleagues across other income streams to maximise cross-team opportunities and share insights on high-value prospects

Knowledge & Experience

• Proven track record of securing five and six figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or institutional funders, including cold prospects, demonstrating confidence in donor acquisition

• Demonstrable experience of working on major capital appeals or high-value fundraising campaigns
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and tailored funding applications

This role is responsible for leading on event and product innovations while supporting the team to develop best in class supporter journeys. We are looking for someone who has a vision for putting data at the heart of all decision making.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Deliver the community fundraising programme and continually monitor results, with particular focus on net income, Rotary engagement, supporter growth and the development of our volunteer network. Adjust and adapt plans accordingly.
• To set income and expenditure budgets for all community and events activity, monitoring industry and supporter trends, progress against budgets and reforecast income and expenditure as required.
• Set measurable KPIs for the Community and Events Team and objectively review the success and achievements against targets. Identify areas of risk and opportunity. Ensure contingencies are in place as appropriate.
• Strategically grow community income by identifying priority audiences and developing products/campaigns/communications to maximise the value of our existing supporters and to reach new ones. • Continue to develop and test events, with the aim of growing our events portfolio, working closely with the Community Marketing and Events Officer.

Job Purpose

Legacies are one of the most vital sources of income for Operation Smile UK, helping us continue our work supporting patients with cleft around the world. We’re now looking for a Legacy Administration Manager to join our dedicated team and ensure that every gift left to the charity is managed with care, professionalism, and in line with the wishes of our supporters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residuary, specific, and reversionary legacy cases from initiation to completion, optimising income while upholding all legal, ethical, and organisational standards.
• Communicate with empathy and professionalism with executors, solicitors, and beneficiaries’ families, including handling enquiries and confirming receipt of legacy notifications.
• Review estate documentation and valuations, determine the charity’s entitlement, and verify that all due funds are correctly received.
• Ensure that all relevant charity tax reliefs are properly applied for, including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax appropriations, and Income Tax (form R185).
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all legacy income and correspondence within OSUK’s CRM system and Finance Tracker.
• Track the status of ongoing cases, pursue outstanding actions, and take prompt steps to address issues or disputes as they arise.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams—such as Finance, Supporter Care, and Partnerships—to promote strong stewardship and compliance.
• Refer or escalate complex or high-impact matters to the Director of Finance and Senior Finance Manager when necessary.
• Contribute to team meetings, process improvements, and the development of best practice.

Person Specification

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and communicate clearly and sensitively, both in writing and verbally.

· Proven experience in legacy administration within the charity sector or in probate and estate law.

· Highly organised, with the capability to prioritise and manage a diverse caseload effectively.

· Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, documentation, and data entry.

· Skilled in interpreting wills, estate accounts, and related legal documents.

· Competent in reviewing estate accounts to verify the correct application of Inheritance Tax (IHT) and Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and to ensure estates are properly finalised.

· Proficient user of Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

· Review estate accounts, including the allocation of Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Inheritance Tax (IHT), to confirm estates are correctly administered.

· Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (ILM) or legal/paralegal qualification.

The Initiatives and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in the Trust’s Initiatives and Partnerships Team. The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Trust’s projects, manage team members and on occasion support external and partnership projects. Our work is varied, ranging from early-stage feasibility planning, partnership development, fundraising, business planning and design development, as well as supporting our conservation team who lead construction phase oversight.

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to support us with creating engaging communications. You will be responsible for activities such as: 

• Developing compelling propositions
• Delivering the communications to support major gift prospect fundraising events, from creating invitations and shaping the themes, through to developing event materials and briefing speakers 
• Creating and editing a wide range of communications pieces for our major gift prospect audience, from written case studies through to web content and video 
• Managing the development and execution of new creative for the Campaign for Southampton

This is a part-time role, working four days a week (but will consider 3.5 days), on a fixed-term contract for 24 months. Donnington Doorstep family centre is an independent, community-based children’s centre. The Finance and Admin Manager is a member of the Senior Management Team with an important role to play in a much loved local charity.

The Finance and Admin Manager will ensure that Donnington Doorstep maintains accurate, usable and appropriate financial systems for banking, payments, invoicing, recording and reporting. At Woodgreen Pets Charity, we’re seeking a confident, compassionate, and solutions-focused Team Leader to join our Cats and Small Pets team. In this vital role, you'll oversee daily operations, support staff and volunteers, and ensure that each pet receives the highest standard of care as they move through their journey from arrival to rehoming.

In this hands-on leadership role you will be the first point of contact for your team where you will supervise daily operations to ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, risk, and safety assessments to achieve Woodgreen’s organisational goals. Through a clear understanding of the pet's journey, you will focus on maximising throughput, resolving issues, and collaborating across departments. Your strong problem-solving and coaching skills will support you to do this as you inspire and develop your team.

• Significant experience in effective people management — including conflict resolution, motivating and empowering teams, and developing staff and volunteers
• A proven track record of delivering excellent customer care, ideally in a fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environment

About the Role

You’ll lead the financial strategy, planning and operations for the Orpheus Centre, ensuring sustainability, transparency and compliance while enabling innovation and growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with Trustees and senior leaders, you will:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and insight to drive organisational success.
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and audit.
• Ensure compliance with The Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.
• Lead on procurement, risk management and digital transformation in finance systems.
• Manage investments and oversee capital and operational budgets.
• Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team.

This is a hands-on and highly influential role for someone who thrives on both strategic planning and operational excellence.

About You

You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant experience in senior financial leadership — ideally within the charity and/or education sector.

You will bring:

• Strong understanding of charity SORP, financial governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with Boards and governance structures.
• Proven ability to deliver strategic financial planning and risk management.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills.
