About You and the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic temporary Programmes Assistant to support the delivery of a busy and inspiring programme of events across the autumn and spring terms.
Working as part of a dynamic team, the successful candidate will help deliver a diverse portfolio of lectures, panel discussions, and other events. Our events programme connects people and ideas, broadcasting to audiences worldwide and showcasing the power of geography to shape our understanding of the world.
The role will involve providing administrative and logistical support to the Programmes team across all stages of event coordination, from setting up events in digital systems and managing bookings, through to delivery and ensuring a high-quality experience for both in-person and online audiences.
Salary and Benefits
This is a fixed term contract for six months. We welcome requests for flexible working arrangements, including hybrid and part time working. This is looked at on a case-by-case basis, balancing the Society’s needs with the successful candidate’s other commitments, to support a good work-life balance. The salary range for this post is £27,675 - £28,550 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The post is based in Kensington, London.

The Digital Marketing & Donor Engagement Advisor plays a crucial role in executing the delivery of a digital strategy for the charity which will underpin our strategic objectives and our income generation and awareness raising goals.
The role sits in the Funding and Communications team.
You’ll be passionate about delivering exceptional online experiences, excited by what’s possible in the digital and social media space and be driven to use analytics to shape what you do across a wide range of marketing channels including social media, websites, email marketing.
With a flair for crafting the right message for the right audience, you will help us build stronger connections with existing supporters, as well as helping us to reach and inspire new donors and supporters.
You will have a keen interest in global health and be adept at explaining complex subjects in an engaging and accessible way to our target audiences.
The person
The Digital Marketing & Donor Engagement Advisor will have proven experience in marketing and fundraising at a professional level, with experience of MailChimp or other email marketing platforms. They will have strong knowledge and experience of content management systems in particular SEO, digital analytics platforms, data capture, monitoring and tracking.
The successful candidate will have experience of working across teams and managing work with short deadlines without sacrificing quality of work or attention to detail, as well as the ability to organise workload and meet competing priorities.

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

We are recruiting for a Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) who will be working closely with survivors of domestic, and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support, guidance and advice to survivors across all risk levels and their children.
In this role the Duty IGVA is a part of a busy team. The Duty IGVA will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre by other professionals. The Duty IGVA also will be responsible for processing any self-referrals of individuals contacting the service and wishing to access support. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for responding to daily enquiries from partnership agencies, public and impacted individuals over the phone and email.
In some circumstances the Duty IGVA will be contacting survivors directly to assess their level of risk and needs to ensure eligibility. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs assessments. The Duty IGVA will ensure an effective handover of the case to the relevant team for ongoing support.
The Duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The Duty IGVA will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety. The jobalso involves working in a fast-paced environment.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The Role
We are looking for an End User Services Analyst to join our IT Operations team, where you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused IT service across the Law Society. As part of a forward-facing team, you will provide both in-person and remote support to staff and visitors, ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across the organisation.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing incidents and service requests in line with agreed service levels, escalating where appropriate and ensuring timely resolution. You will support a range of hardware and software, maintain meeting room technology, and help ensure end user equipment is readily available and fit for purpose. Working within an ITIL framework, you will contribute to continuous service improvement while ensuring compliance with IT security and policy standards.
You will also manage user access across systems, including Active Directory, VPN and business applications, keep accurate records within the ITSM toolset, and support the ongoing development of the Service Desk knowledgebase. Maintaining stock levels of equipment and licensing, in collaboration with IT Procurement, will also form part of your responsibilities.
What we're looking for
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused individual with experience in a Service Desk or End User Services environment. You will have strong troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software, along with a solid understanding of ITIL processes and service management principles.
You should be comfortable managing user access, including Active Directory and VPN, and able to prioritise your workload effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be supporting a wide range of users with varying levels of technical understanding. A collaborative approach, attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering an excellent user experience will be key to success in this role.

We are looking for a sharp, original storyteller with strong news judgement, the ability to spot and develop stories, and the confidence to respond well under pressure.
This is a mid-level role for an experienced journalist who can spot original angles, respond quickly to breaking news, and produce compelling content across multiple platforms. You’ll produce engaging news and current affairs content including radio bulletins, interviews, special reports and written articles. You will also help shape the daily agenda, contribute to forward planning, and ensure all output meets high editorial, legal and regulatory standards.
