GUCE Project Manager Role

Community Energy is gaining momentum nationally, where people are increasingly coming together to  take control of their own energy supplies.  Grand Union Community Energy (GUCE, pronounced “juice”) is looking to see local communities along the Grand Union canal in Hertfordshire enjoy a clean and resilient energy system that benefits all.  We develop, support and promote renewable energy and energy efficiency projects for communities from Watford to Tring, and build householder resilience by helping them reduce their bills and energy use.

We are seeking a Project Manager for two days a week, to help develop the opportunities that are forthcoming. Depending on the skills of the applicant the same individual could also cover aspects of other roles we are looking to fill.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a person with experience in project management to join our small but expanding team. The Project Manager for Community Energy will be responsible for converting opportunities for local renewable energy generation and energy efficiency projects into reality. They will take projects from concept, through funding and construction to management.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver new potential projects, such as opportunities with Watford industrial units:

  • Work with technical specialists to assess the energy needs of the community, including energy demand, infrastructure, and renewable energy potential (solar, wind, biomass, etc.).

  • Identify and engage stakeholders (local authorities, local organisations, energy providers, and residents).

• For new and existing projects: 

  • Develop and monitor an overall plan to realise projects including timelines, budgets, resources and risk management strategies in conjunction with the Development Officer / Project teams.

  • Manage share offers.

  • Communication with potential local investors.

  • Manage paperwork.

  • Ensure the projects are realised rather than remaining just good ideas.

  • Work with others to manage cross-functional teams, including installers, contractors, and local community leaders.

  • Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and partners to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Foster a collaborative environment with all project team members.

  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked, controlled, and aligned with available funding.

  • Work in partnership with the installer to oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the project.

  • Track the progress of energy projects against objectives, milestones, and KPIs (key performance indicators).

  • Regularly report to stakeholders, funding agencies, and community members on project status and outcomes in collaboration with Project teams and Comms.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Required

Experience: 

Experience in community engagement and project management is key, with that in renewable energy projects desirable.

In this role, the project manager serves as a bridge between technical experts, local communities, and other stakeholders, ensuring that energy solutions are not only sustainable and innovative but also beneficial and accessible to all involved.

Terms and Conditions

Salary: Pro-rated salary for 2 days per week, £13,000 to £19,000 per annum (£34,000 to £47,000 full time equivalent) depending on experience plus 3% pension contribution.

Hours: 2 days per week (15 hours). The working hours can be flexible.

Location: Home-working, ideally within the GUCE catchment area from Watford to Tring.

You will need to travel to meet stakeholders, attend relevant meetings and visit potential sites. You may be called upon to work outside office hours.

Contractual arrangements: 12 months fixed term with the opportunity to extend, subject to 3 months’ probation.

There is a notice period of four weeks from both sides.

Holidays: The equivalent of 28 days per annum excluding Bank Holidays, pro-rata for the part-time nature of the post.

Experience in fundraising, supporter care, or legacy and in-memory giving—or transferable skills from a relevant sector—will be essential. You will also be empathetic and supportive when working with bereaved individuals or those planning for the future.

Experience in legacy administration, event planning, or using CRM systems (e.g. Access Charity CRM, Raiser's Edge or similar) is desirable but not essential – we’re open to candidates who can demonstrate the right values, skills, and potential.

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims and witnesses of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for service users referred in to the service, completing comprehensive impact and risks assessments using agreed processes and a tailoring the response to each individual's needs.
• Manage a caseload of service users who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally.
• Develop support plans where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service and provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that everyone is aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter..
• Comply and keep up to date with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including data protection legislation, confidentiality.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience of delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting
• Experience of working in an outcomes focused service

• Knowledge and understanding of Domestic Abuse processes and services
• Experience of engaging with vulnerable victims of crime who may have complex needs

You will need:

Discover! Creative Careers is a government funded, industry-led programme working to ensure there is a larger and more diverse intake of talent into the creative industries via a broader range of routes. The free-to-access hybrid programme of activities and resources offers meaningful encounters with industry professionals, online tools, training, and support throughout the year.

Discover! Creative Careers, also known as the Creative Careers Programme, was kick-started with funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in 2018 and has been shaped and supported directly by creative businesses, institutions, trade bodies and individuals. The delivery of the programme is led by ScreenSkills in partnership with over 25 organisations and through collaboration with industry, education, and careers professionals.

Discover! Creative Careers, Cymru will provide careers information and employer encounters to young people aged 11-18 and those supporting their careers decisions, with the aim of building a more diverse and inclusive future workforce. The programme will run until the end of March 2026, and will involve working across partners and in collaboration with creative industries organisations across 12 sub-sectors across Wales.

Role Summary

This exciting Project Coordinator role is central to the delivery of Discover! Creative Careers, Cymru, a high-impact initiative designed to open creative sector pathways for young people, particularly those from underrepresented communities.

Working closely with Into Film Cymru’s team and delivery partners, the Project Coordinator will manage the day-to-day planning, logistics, communications, and coordination of Discover! events, workshops, and in-school activity across the nation with support and guidance from the Project Manager.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, strong bilingual (Welsh/English) communication, and a commitment to inclusive practice.

The successful candidate will ensure smooth delivery of activity during a busy delivery window and support accurate data collection and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of Discover! Creative Careers, Cymru activities in partnership and with support from a wide range of partners. Events to include in-school and online events, creative careers talks, workshops, and live showcases.
• Act as the main point of contact for participating delivery partners and where needed, educators and Careers Leads during the project period.
• Support partners to manage bookings, scheduling, travel logistics, and delivery arrangements for all events, ensuring quality and consistency across different locations.
• Liaise and manage projects with support from Into Film central teams.
• Liaise and work closely with Discover! Creative Careers Teams across the nations to ensure alignment with UK-wide Discover! plans and timelines.
• Support partners with safeguarding protocols, access arrangements, and risk management procedures for all activity.
• Support the collection and input of participant and engagement data via partner organisations and using Into Film’s CRM system (Salesforce) and contribute to evaluation and reporting.
• Respond to teacher queries, partner feedback, and delivery challenges promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all delivery is aligned with the programme’s objectives to reach underrepresented groups and priority areas across Wales.
• Provide regular updates and progress reports to the Into Film Cymru Programme Lead and UK Delivery Team.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

General Responsibilities:

• Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with Into Film’s stakeholders including teachers, children and young people, industry partners, funders, supporters, parents and carers, and members of the public.
• Commitment and active participation in helping Into Film live its EEDI values and ethos through everything it does.

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

• Proven experience of coordinating projects or events with multiple partners or stakeholders on a national level.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• An understanding of the Careers landscape in Wales and the CWRE and CWW frameworks.
• Proven track record and excellent communication and relationship-building skills, especially with educators, youth partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Demonstrated understanding of the education landscape and/or youth engagement in Wales. 
• Demonstrated understanding of the creative sector in Wales. 
• Confidence using spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or equivalent).
• Experience of managing logistics, bookings, or scheduling for live in-school or online activity.
• A commitment to inclusive practice and equitable access for all learners.
• Strong Welsh and English language skills (oral and written) are essential for this post. This role requires working with Welsh and English speakers across every aspect of delivery – including working closely with partners within the education, creative and cultural sectors in meetings, through emails and at public events.
• Ability to travel independently across Wales; full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends, with notice, if required.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with safeguarding and risk management protocols working with schools and/or youth settings.
• Experience supporting monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
• An appreciation for, and knowledge of, film and creative learning.

Role Overview 

The Athlete Learning and Development Manager will design and coordinate a comprehensive learning and development programme for emerging athletes, their parents and caregivers, and alumni. This will be delivered both in person and online. 

This is an exciting time for SportsAid as we expand the support we offer beyond financial assistance, building on the foundations already in place. As part of our evolving approach, we are strengthening the educational resources available to them, ensuring they have access to the guidance and tools they need to thrive both on and off the field. 

The role focuses on identifying athlete-led needs, curating training and workshop programmes, and working with external trainers and providers to deliver impactful sessions that best support SportsAid’s beneficiaries. 

A key aspect of the role is developing educational and training content for the new online community engagement platform we are developing. You will ensure content aligns with SportsAid’s objectives while meeting the priorities of partners funding dedicated hubs within the platform, which will provide training and development content in specific focus areas. You will also help adapt training sessions into engaging, shareable online resources to maximise participation and impact. 

Additionally, you will play a crucial role in planning workshop programmes for key events such as SportsAid Live, ensuring sessions are engaging, relevant, and tailored to the needs of attendees.

Key Responsibilities 

Programme Development 

• Develop and coordinate a holistic learning and development programme for athletes, parents, and caregivers, addressing key areas such as financial literacy, mental wellbeing, career readiness, and communication skills. 

• Identify athlete-led needs and curate relevant educational training programmes, ensuring they align with the challenges faced by young athletes. 

• Build and maintain relationships with external trainers and subject matter experts, ensuring content meets SportsAid’s high standards and is tailored to beneficiary needs. 

• Work with trainers and providers to shape session content, ensuring clarity, relevance, and engagement for athletes and their support networks. 

• Develop structured training strands with corporate partners that align with partnership agreements and engagement objectives.

The team is structured around two main pillars: our campaigning and our research pillar. The research pillar ensures that the team’s campaigning and advocacy work is based on sound analysis and facts. The Senior Research Manager oversees the research pillar, currently composed of three more junior researchers. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a research strategy that underpins campaign needs for analysis and insight in line with campaign timelines and available resources. You will oversee and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research outputs, including thematic reports, investor briefings, and surveys of Europe’s largest banks, and ensure that they are underpinned by clear and robust research methodologies. Global Health Partnerships (GHP – formerly THET) is a global health charity working in partnership with governments, health institutions, and international bodies to train health workers and strengthen health systems across 31 countries. We do this through grants management and capacity building, alongside research, convening and advocacy towards the goal of Universal Health Coverage (UHC). At the centre of our approach, is the model of Health Partnerships, long-term relationships between UK and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) health institutions, which improve health services through the reciprocal exchange of skills, knowledge, and experience. At the heart of our work is vision of a world where everyone has access to healthcare.

GHP is seeking a consultant to conduct a study examining the work of GHWP in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. The consultant will lead investigations into the benefits and impact of HP health systems and health workforce interventions under the DHSC-funded GHWP.

This study will explore and examine the value added of the Health Partnership approach to the health systems of the three partner countries.  While the effectiveness and impact of health workforce and health system strengthening interventions have been highlighted through GHWP reports and sharing and learning events in each of the three countries, insights and results have not yet been sufficiently synthesised or documented in a way that supports advocacy, resource mobilisation and policy positioning.

This study will review and examine existing literature and data, including published and grey literature, GHWP reports, reports from other DHSC-funded GHP projects, and other available documentation on the benefits of the Health Partnership model (see Related Papers section). Some primary qualitative data collection and analysis may be required.

Contractual Responsibilities 

Reports to: The Technical Director, based in the UK, who will provide technical oversight of the study. The Consultant will be responsible for managing their workload and conducting the activities in a timely and efficient manner as set out in this document. The Consultant will agree the specific focus areas for the study with the Technical Director and GHP team.  The Consultant will also have regular reporting points with the Head of the Evidence and Impact Team and other GHP colleagues, as required.

The contract will run from August 2025 over a 4-month period. The Consultant will submit a technical proposal and budget of up to £20,000. The consultant will invoice GHP on a monthly basis. Please note that this is non-negotiable.

We are looking for a Family Recruitment Officer, well-organised, with bags of energy and a sense of fun, to join our team to connect families with our home-based reading projects, helping to grow our reach and deepen our impact in under-resourced communities across London.

Working as part of the Project Team, you’ll support strategic and hands-on efforts to bring our reading programme to those who need it most. From planning outreach campaigns to developing community partnerships and responding to enquiries, your work will ensure more children can benefit from regular reading sessions with our volunteers.

This is a new part-time role, with a hybrid working pattern and occasional evening or weekend commitments, ideal for someone with experience in outreach, community engagement, or family support services.

About Us

We Are Survivors, are a survivor focused voluntary sector organisation that aims to create and facilitate safe spaces for male (including trans and non-binary individuals) survivors of sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation across Greater Manchester providing access to quality assured support. Our work is focused on developing ways for individuals to empower themselves to work through personal and sometimes painful issues, guided and supported by our trauma-informed team, following the trauma and recovery model.

About the Role

We're looking for a Therapy Manager to join the team. Leading a team of trauma-informed therapists while delivering trauma-informed therapeutic services. We are a dynamic service with a holistic service model, so the senior role is supporting wider than just direct delivery.

You'll play a key role in supporting clients, managing communications, supporting volunteers/placements. You will work closely with our community development team and criminal justice teams to ensure survivors have access to the right support. All staff have a thematic leadership area to expand the organisations knowledge in areas impacting male survivors and their loved ones.

About You

You’ll be someone who is a qualified and experienced therapist working with trauma with a background of leading effective teams. We’re especially keen to hear from people with experience in working with men, sexual harms and supporting therapist and trainees, but we value transferable skills too. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• To manage the operational and clinical duty of care for support services
• To maintain the safe and inclusive provision of spaces for all clients
• To provide Line Management, guidance and professional and pastoral support to all client facing services staff and volunteers
• To effectively lead and successfully manage the provision of client services, as designed and governed by the organisaton, including ensuring KPIs are met and data handling and reporting is accurate.
• To ensure that all services managed, effectively record and identify threats and trends that will result in responding effectively to meet clients needs.
• To maintain and deliver relevant services to a small caseload of clients.
• Manage and deliver specific projects as directed and agreed by the Executive Team.
• To support the further development of the services that meet clients needs.

Person Specification
The following attributes are Essential for this role:

Registration:
• BACP, BABCP, UKCP, NCS, BPS or HCPC registered

Qualifications:
• Diploma in Counselling / Psychotherapy or equivalent
• Safeguarding Children and Adults’ Level 3

Knowledge and Experience:
• Understanding of issues relating to rape and sexual assault.
• Experience of leading a team.
• Experience in delivering engaging workshops to a variety of audiences.
• Previous experiences of working within a highly confidential setting.
• Experience in data management and information governance.

Skills:
• Ability to prioritise own workload.
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, or equivalent, and electronic database system

The following attributes are Desirable for this role:
Registration:
• BACP Accredited or equivalent.

Qualifications:
• Masters in counselling or Psychotherapy.
• Qualified in EMDR and/or PG Dip in CBT.
• Qualification relevant to role

Knowledge and Experience:
• Knowledge of current support services in the UK that meet the needs of male identified victims/survivors of sexual violence.
• Understanding of the legal framework for victims of sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation.
• Previous experience of working with male identified victims/survivors of sexual violence.
• Previous experience of working within a highly confidential setting, adhering to data governance.
• Previous experience of working within the voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) sector.
