Job Purpose:

• Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
• Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
• Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
• Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
• Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
• Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
• Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

The role

This important role sits within our Supply Chain and Logistics team, responsible for processing offers of surplus food from our food partners into our network of Regional Centres and the wider community. This role is essential in ensuring that the food we are offered reaches the thousands of charities and community groups we support across the UK.

The role is a combination of customer service provision and supply chain coordination with a strong data focus. You will analyse varied datasets to decide how food is distributed across our Network to ensure optimal and sustainable distribution. You will also be responsible for continuing and championing the high levels of customer service we provide to the food industry and our network of Regional Centres.

You will work closely with FareShare’s food suppliers, transport partners, and our Regional Centres to identify and overcome operational challenges to distribution. The successful candidate will also work closely with our Food Commercial team to ensure our food partners receive excellent operational support and customer service. We are continually evolving our processes and you will work within a culture of continuous improvement to improve operations within the team.

It is essential that you are passionate about our vision, ensuring that no good food goes to waste. We are looking for organised people who are good at multi-tasking and problem solving. Your time management skills will be exceptional and you will be comfortable working under pressure. You will be data savvy, and confident to manage feedback to various stakeholders with astute analyses and recommendations.

Main areas of responsibility

Food Industry Customer Service

• Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring offers are responded to and processed within agreed service level requirements
• Work closely with the Food Commercial Managers, providing feedback and reporting on service issues and attending meetings and site visits as appropriate
• Assist Food Team with insight and feedback from food businesses, capturing key account information in our CRM system

 Regional Centre allocation

• Adhere to the requirements of the Network Service Level Agreement
• Work with the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager to match food supplied to Regional Centre needs, always working to maximise surplus redistribution and minimise waste 
• Ensure that offers are allocated in an efficient and timely manner according to network needs and agreed priorities to maximise social impact of surplus food
• Using our CRM system, maintain timely records of accounts, allocations, offers and case management
• Maintain high standards of customer service to the Network and Operations teams and develop respectful and effective working relationships with the Regional Centres.
• Build your understanding of our Network and your relationship with Regional Centres through a programme of regular site visits in collaboration with the Network Development Managers
• Work with the Network Development Managers and Food Supply & Services Managers to identify opportunities to maximise and grow redistributed food volumes

Logistics and transport

• Work with Commercial Managers and hauliers to implement best practice processes and reduce costs for FareShare whilst maximising acceptance of food
• Work with hauliers to plan transport requirements and ensure that we are able to meet network demand
• Work with Regional Centres to coordinate and plan routes for internal FareShare logistics
• Reactively solve transport issues throughout the working day

Data and Analysis

• Use FareShare PowerBI reports to ensure optimal product allocation within contract requirements
• Specify, build, monitor and analyse Salesforce reports to increase efficiency of allocation
• Use dashboards to monitor network issues
• Lead regional network agreement service level review meetings
• Report on data integrity issues to the Network Analyst

Team coordination and representation

• Support the Team providing assistance and cover when required e.g. during busy periods, annual leave and sickness to ensure an even spread of work across the team
• Support the training of new team members
• Represent the Supply Chain and Logistics team at network cluster and food category meetings
• Deputise for the Supply Chain and Logistics Manager when required
• Keep team process instructions up to date Project support
• Act as Supply Chain and Logistics team lead on cross functional projects as required alongside stakeholders including: retailers, funders, and strategic food partners

About the team

We have been successfully running the first ever national Peer Support Service for kinship carers in England for over two years since January 2022. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups, and;
• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England. 

About the role

The type of person we’re looking for:

This is a new a role and a new structure for the team. You will need to be a strong, boundaried manager and leader. You will understand the power of building relationship-focussed peer support groups and the importance of in person local community engagement and outreach.

The team you lead will focus on community outreach and relationship building to develop new groups and new support group leaders through to independence. By independence, we mean that the groups will function successfully without a staff member present.

We want groups to feel a sense of community and belonging through all support and services we offer at Kinship, so your team will be the local contact.  They are expected to be out and about in communities.

Your team will need to build resilience through in person outreach, support, training and connection to ensure groups are able to function independently before moving to new ‘hub’ team who will provide centralised support and community building.

Your team will also reach out to existing groups (providing a face of the service and a relationship with it), ensuring they have the resources they need and support to sustain their group and then transition to the ‘hub’ team. This will include in person visits.

Purpose of the role:

The role of Programme Lead is to oversee and take accountability for the development and creation of new sustainable kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model. In this context, your team is the ‘spoke’ of the service, delivering local outreach, online groups (where appropriate) and relationship building with kinship carers.

Managing a national team of seven staff (two direct line reports), you will provide firm leadership, ensuring targets and funder SLAs are met consistently and the service is delivered to a high quality.  You will provide monthly reports, ensuring delivery is on track and most importantly that kinship carers have an excellent and positive experience.

Key responsibilities include:

•  

• Deliver sustainable peer support groups for kinship carers.

• Ensure policies and systems to deliver new groups and move others to sustainability, are followed and updated with user needs at the heart.

• Champion and innovate the peer support service blueprint. 

• Oversee day-to-day operations for service delivery and meet KPIs and SLAs.

• Line manage and supervise two Senior Peer Support Officers.

• As a deputy safeguarding lead at Kinship, you will work closely with other colleagues to identify areas of training for the organisation and identify improvements in delivery or processes.

Essential requirements include:

• Substantial experience in delivering a high-profile national service or programme. This includes overseeing delivery, operational planning, monitoring, budgeting, managing delivery and meeting KPIs.

• Significant experience of leading the development and delivery of peer support and community development services.

• Significant experience of managing volunteer recruitment and retention.

• Significant experience of change management and driving high performance.

We are in the early stages of implementing our 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure. Sitting within the Chief Executive’s Office and reporting to the Project and Programme Manager, the Project Officer supports the scoping, planning, and delivery of strategic, cross-team projects and programmes. The post holder also supports the Project and Programme Manager in embedding project management best practice across the wider organisation.   

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Project Management

· Deliver key, strategic projects, as determined by the yearly Operational Planning process, working with project teams to develop flexible project plans that can adapt to change. 

· Manage project risks, decisions, and dependencies, liaise with third parties, and monitor project progress, ensuring stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints.

· Maintain ownership of the Projects team intranet pages and project management resources, for use by colleagues across the organisation. 

· Provide tailored project management consultations to empower colleagues to deliver their own in-team projects. 

· Support the Project and Programme Manager on delivering the ARUK Project Management Masterclass.

What we are looking for:

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, the role will entail political advocacy, relationship building across stakeholders, including Parliament and research and policy analysis.

The way people are accessing support is evolving and we need to ensure that we are developing support services that reflect the complex needs of a brain tumour diagnosis using a range of platforms, from a traditional phone line service to innovative, engaging and instant solutions.

Supporting a wide range of people, from those who are looking for general information about treatment or care, to those who need more detailed support from the point of diagnosis, you will be passionate about improving the lives of those affected by a brain tumour. You will be comfortable providing emotional and practical support and information across different channels; capable at breaking down complex, scientific information in an accessible and personalised way and committed to developing pioneering resources to support our community in smarter ways.

Key accountabilities:

· Provide specialist emotional and practical support and information to people affected by brain tumours, their friends, families and carers through a variety of solutions including phone, email, webchat, online, social media plus new evolving channels

· Provide high quality information which reflects the most up to date research, clinical information and treatments, in a way people can understand. Conducting the research yourself and adapting your communication to suit the person you are supporting is key

· Offer coaching guidance to empower individuals, helping them to achieve the appropriate next steps

· Work in conjunction with the Volunteer Development Manager to recruit, train and manage volunteers who assist in delivering support services

· Lead on aspects of cross team projects and develop new resources that meet our community’s needs, while collaborating with other teams and external partners

· Identify gaps in knowledge across the Support Team and identify possible training areas

· Develop information for our website and other resources, for example, writing initial drafts and reviewing information

· Plan and facilitate online and in person events for the brain tumour community, including online meet ups for young adults

· Day to day management of our online peer support
platforms, for example our Facebook groups for Young Adults affected by a brain tumour diagnosis

· Update and maintain accurate contact information on the CRM database, producing data reports as required to evidence the impact and reach of our support services

· Identify, manage and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with The Charity guidelines

· Review day to day tasks across the Support Team

Experience:

· Background experience in a supporter, help line, health care, science or psychology related role

 The Willats Trust gives grants to Christian workers to share the Good News of Jesus in some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in the UK and Ireland.

As a young man in the nineteenth century, William Willats, observed that the poorest people in the city of Bath, where he lived, didn’t go to church simply because they didn’t have suitable clothes to wear to a religious place of worship. As a Christian he felt the injustice of this and set about taking the ‘church’ to the people. He set up a ‘Spiritual Guide’ programme where workers would visit the poorest in society to read them the Bible, pray with them and help them understand God’s word.

During this time, Mr Willats acquired a considerable number of properties across the Bath area.

The Trust currently owns and manages a property portfolio of in excess of £35m and awards approximately £500,000 a year in grants to support ‘Guides’ who bring the Good News of the Gospel to communities with little or no experience of or interaction with the Christian faith. 

We have an ambition to more than double that amount, transform our grant-making to be best-in-class and forge dynamic partnerships that extend the reach of the hope of the Gospel across UK and Ireland.

This role calls for a dynamic Chief Executive, with a Kingdom heart and commitment to evangelism, who brings a breadth of senior leadership experience, commercial skills, and prayerful wisdom in navigating the opportunities and challenges of the season ahead.

Support Dog is a unique and innovative national charity that has been transforming the lives of families affected by autism, epilepsy and disability for 30 years.

Support Dogs trains and provides specialist assistance dog to give 100% reliable advance warning of epileptic seizures; to help children with autism to stay safe and better engage with the world around them. Our disability assistance dogs bring independence and a better quality of life for those with physical disabilities including MS, Cerebral Palsy and Fibromyalgia.

Founded and entirely based in Sheffield our charity operates across the UK, growing significantly over recent years. The demand for our work is overwhelming, with requests for support increasing ten-fold over the past few years. Support Dogs provides all of its services free of charge and relies entirely on voluntary donations for funding.

At Qube we are working in partnership to make a difference in Shropshire by providing volunteer brokerage and governance support to voluntary groups and organisations.

The role of the Volunteer and Infrastructure Officer is to support the Volunteer and Infrastructure Team Lead within the Voluntary and Community Support team providing high quality information, support and expertise in infrastructure support opportunities available to groups and organisations within Shropshire.

They will promote volunteering and encourage new volunteers to come forward for the benefit of Shropshire groups, organisations and communities. Provide governance advice, support, and guidance to local community/charitable groups and organisations, including support to staff/volunteer managers on volunteer recruitment and retention and develop working relationships with community led/based local groups to support future growth and sustainability.

They will also offer and make aware training opportunities and provision to support group and organisational compliance and safety.

This is currently a fixed term position until 31st March 2025 with extension possible dependent on further funding.
