REMIX is a new youth social mobility charity start-up on a mission to "remix young lives" from disadvantaged backgrounds across London.   • Social media posts: Engaging graphics for Instagram.

  • Information booklets: Designing layouts for programme information, volunteer guides, or impact reports.

  • Presentation templates: Creating professional and appealing templates for pitches to funders and partners.

• Ensuring Brand Consistency: Helping to apply the new brand identity across all our communications, ensuring everything we produce feels distinctly REMIX.

Our Short Break Activity Sessions enable disabled children to access fun, inspirational and challenging leisure activities that build life skills and promote independence whilst providing carers with vital short break respite.

With our support, disabled children and young people get to explore their interests, talents and develop vital life skills. Activities can lead to ASDAN accreditation. Short break activities build future hopes and aspirations and provide children with the confidence to achieve their full potential.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assist Caudwell Children staff member(s) in running the short break activity sessions

- Help to ensure all children are safe during the activity sessions

- Support staff members with planned activities

- Participate in setting up an activity and helping with the set down

Pedal Away is a community-based cycling scheme that enables people to ride, regardless of their age, ability or cycling experience. We have Pedal Away Cycle Hubs at a limited number of locations which will allow you to realise your passion for all things two-wheels. Our Pedal Away rides are pitched at a level so that anyone can join in no matter how long it's been since you were last on a two-wheeled bike. TASKS

To welcome, assist and serve our customers in a warm and friendly way providing a good standard of customer service. To ensure Gift Aid is explained clearly and promoted to all our donors and thanking them for their valuable contribution. Help sort, steam, hang and display our donated stock and rotate the stock following the manager’s guidelines. The Fertility Foundation aims to continue being the leading patient charity across the UK in the provision of IVF funding and support network for those facing fertility challenges at all stages of their journey, providing authoritative information as well as practical and emotional support.

Around 1 in 7 couples today have trouble conceiving, which equates to 3.5 million people in the UK. The prospect of facing any kind of fertility problem is very distressing to live with and many people believe that no one else really understands. For many struggling to conceive being denied access to NHS funding means their hopes of starting a family can seem impossible. Barefoot and Free is a grassroots charity that supports families of neurodivergent children and children affected by trauma. We offer fully funded staycations and nature-based respite breaks for families and parent carers who are often at breaking point.

TRAFFIC is the leading non-governmental organization working globally on trade in wild animals and plants in the context of both biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. 

TRAFFIC International is a charity and limited company registered in the UK. TRAFFIC’s head office, based in Cambridge UK, provides worldwide leadership, coordination, cross-regional and corporate functions.  TRAFFIC’s local engagement is managed through programme offices operating under the auspices of the UK charity, with staff based in a hub office and at other strategic locations where necessary. Programme offices operate within a geographic area of responsibility focused on one or multiple countries where TRAFFIC aims to help deliver priority programme outcomes.  TRAFFIC works in strategic alliance with IUCN and WWF on wildlife trade issues.

TRAFFIC has developed a comprehensive trade database, that stores and analyses specific trade related information. Using this information, it is possible to understand illegal trade trends that develop. The TRAFFIC database allows for the gathering of information from source sites and along the trade chain for central collation, monitoring and analysis. Information generated from projects is an integral part of this database and capacity is needed to enter data produced under projects.

We are looking for a dedicated, highly motivated and organised Volunteer to join our Data Team starting ASAP for a minimum of 3 months. We are ideally looking for candidates available to work full time, however are open to discussion of part time.

The successful applicant will be required to be based in TRAFFIC’s Cambridge (UK) office for the duration of the Volunteering to access our database and work closely with the rest of the Data Team.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES

The Data Volunteer will be responsible for inputting information generated under projects in an accurate and consistent manner into TRAFFIC’s trade database.  Data entered will enable the production of informative analysis at a later stage by TRAFFIC’s analysts.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collect and input information (some of which may be confidential/sensitive) regarding trade related enforcement actions related to projects.

Obtain existing data on seizures prosecutions from TRAFFIC staff across the globe, clean it and enter it into the database.

All information that is entered must be accurately geocoded to enable mapping exercises at a later stage.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Must be based in the UK

· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject

· Minimum of six months experience with the collection and collation of data

· Experience of database software is desirable

· Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel

· An eye for detail and a keen interest and ability to recognise connections between data

· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team as well as independently, with respect for and sensitivity to multi-cultural approaches

· Familiarity with and an interest in conservation, particularly trade issues

· Fluency in English with excellent English writing skills, other languages would be an advantage.

Founded in 1983, IPSEA is a leading national charity focussed on supporting families to ensure that children and young people with SEND receive the education they are legally entitled to. Since our formation, we have actively helped to improve the education experience of thousands of children and young people with SEND. We do this by providing free and independent legal advice and casework support, undertaking policy work and delivering training on the SEND legal framework.

We wish to recruit a number of new trustees who are committed to our vision and values and who bring complementary skills to those of our current Board members.
