Main purpose of the role
As our Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy, working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Team, the Insight Fundraising Officer and the Trust and Foundations consultants. The Fundraising Manager will develop existing income streams and strengthen stakeholder and supporter engagement. As Fundraising Manager, you’ll work closely with other global team members to review and implement our fundraising strategy in line with our strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Play a leading role in the development and delivery of ICC’s fundraising strategy and the success of direct marketing, telemarketing and online campaigns to generate cash, regular giving and Gift Aid.
- Plan, research and implement all aspects of direct marketing aimed at acquiring and retaining new and existing supporters.
- Establish a robust donor stewardship strategy, building strong relationships with existing and potential donors and increasing donor retention and engagement
- Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with churches.
- To manage the direction and relationship with our Trust and Foundation consultants by collaborating in the research, writing and submitting targeted Trust applications and report on grants awarded.
- Work with the team to support the legacy giving strategy, to maximise long-term income.
- To have oversight of the in-house CRM database (Microsoft D365). Work with the team to develop competency in the effective use of our CRM database as part of our donor stewardship and reporting structure.
- To assist and promote ICCs presence at fundraising and other events.
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy and donor care to reduce attrition rates.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate direct marketing campaigns, Trust fundraising, recurring giving and legacy fundraising, provide results and feed the learning back into the organisation.
- To keep abreast of key issues and best practices within the direct marketing/fundraising sector.
- Ensure fundraising practices comply with GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Undertake additional duties as requested.
- Line manage the Insight Fundraising Officer and lead our Trusts and Foundations partner.
Fundraising Campaigns and Events
- Plan, coordinate, and manage our annual fundraising event.
- Support the Executive Director on other events.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Leadership
- Develop and deliver a clear fundraising strategy that diversifies income and builds long-term sustainability.
- Inspire a culture of fundraising across the organisation, empowering staff, volunteers, and trustees to become confident advocates and ambassadors.
- Use the compelling stories of our frontline team and clients to engage, motivate, and retain supporters.
Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Giving
- Lead the development of high-quality, strategic funding applications to trusts, foundations, and corporate partners (typically £20k+).
- Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely applications and stewardship.
- Line-manage and mentor the newly appointed Trust Fundraiser, supporting their development and success.
Individual Giving and Appeals
- Refresh and strengthen Dementia Concern’s case for support, ensuring a consistent, powerful message across all audiences.
- Design and deliver the charity’s first major appeals — including digital campaigns, local community drives, and postal appeals — to attract and retain individual donors.
- Develop engaging donor journeys and opportunities for people to give regularly, locally, and meaningfully.
Community and Partnership Development
- Reconnect Dementia Concern with its local community through relationship-building, events, and partnerships.
- Represent the charity externally with warmth and confidence, growing our network of local supporters, volunteers, and champions.
- Work closely with the CEO and Trustees to build mutually beneficial partnerships with local businesses, groups, and influencers.
- Oversee the charity’s website and digital presence, ensuring our communications are clear, inspiring, and supporter focussed.
- Lead on campaigns and public relations that raise awareness of dementia and the charity’s impact in West London.
About you:
You will have experience in:
- Trust Fundraising and at least one of the following: corporate partnerships, individual giving, or community fundraising.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver successful fundraising strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling cases for support and inspire others.
- A collaborative, ‘hands-on’ approach comfortable working in a small, dedicated team.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Passion for dementia care and improving the lives of older people and their carers.
- Experience of working in a local or regional charity setting.

Role Requirements
- Your main objectives is to support the board and senior leadership team in ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe, effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term;
- Under the guidance of the Head of Risk, Audit & Governance, and in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation, coordinate and manage the implementation and ongoing development of the charity’s risk management framework; risk policies, risk appetite statement; “risk universe” and board assurance framework / assurance map;
- Undertake deep dive risk assessments and provide assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls from time to time as required by Audit & Risk Committee;
- Undertake a quarterly review of key financial controls and report findings to the Finance, Finance, Investments & Resources Committee and Audit & Risk Committee;
- Monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to SLT and trustees.
- Prepare the risk update for SLT, the board and each of its committees including risk heat maps and key risk indicators for the charity’s principal risks.
- Establish effective working relationships with other second line risk, quality and compliance functions and periodically monitor the effectiveness of their activities.
- Liaise with SLT directors to ensure departmental risk registers are in place and appropriately maintained.
- Facilitate risk workshops and provide online training on TCT’s risk management policy and procedures. Meet regularly with risk owners to review risk responses and progress with actions. Ensure there is an effective process of escalation of significant risks to SLT and trustees;

The responsibilities of this post are:-
- Create and record monthly sale invoices to send to clients and customers and credit control
- Process supplier invoices
- Manage petty cash, credit cards and cash flow
- Undertake payroll, expenses and pensions
- Check monthly balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations,
- Prepare the annual financial budgets in conjunction with the Senior Management Team and CEO
- Prepare monthly accounts and reports comparing actual expenditure to budget for St James Centre and report any major variances to the CEO
- Prepare a summary financial report for Board Members (approximately 6 times per year)
- Work with the company auditors to support the preperation of he Annual Accounts
Person Specification: You will need to have at least an AAT Level 4 qualification or a full or part qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA and a minimum of 3 years experience of managing finance in a medium sized Organisation. Excellent IT skills in Moneysoft, Sage, Excel and Word are needed. Knowledge of the Voluntary Sector is helpful. Willing to complete an enhanced DBS.
The salary is £35,921 per annum. We offer 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.

Context of Job
AFK is a national charity creating opportunities for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse, to increase their independence, reach their individual potential and remove the barriers they face. Our vision is a world where there are no barriers to independence for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London.
At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.
Overall Job Purpose
To support young people aged 18+ with a range of disabilities/neurodiversity to progress towards and into employment. The role will be to primarily liaise with employers and brokering new opportunities for supported and unsupported employment. You will also work with young people assessing their employability skills and place young people into employment, some voluntary roles and work placements. Specialist one to one job coaching will be required to enable young people to progress towards their own goals and objectives.
Working Conditions
The post is 35 hours a week, normally 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.
28 days annual leave will be given in addition to public holidays.

Working Relationships
Build and sustain strong relationships with HR Managers, hiring Managers, and equivalent roles within businesses.
Collaborate daily with AFK Employment Coaches and the Employment & Skills Manager, working closely with the Executive Director of Services and members of the Impact & Innovation Team.
Principal Responsibilities
Employer Engagement & Opportunity Development
- Proactively engage with employers to identify and create employment opportunities for young people (YP), including voluntary roles, work tasters, and placements.
- Secure a range of opportunities—paid employment, voluntary work, work tasters, and placements—to support individuals on their employment journey.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the local labour market and emerging opportunities relevant to employment, volunteering, and work experience.
- Build and sustain effective partnerships with local employer groups, statutory bodies, voluntary organisations, and private sector stakeholders to develop suitable opportunities for YP.
- Provide training and guidance to employers as needed to support inclusive employment practices.
Individual Support & Coaching
- Deliver intensive one-to-one support to individuals across all aspects of employment preparation and progression.
- Work with up to two YP at a time, in collaboration with their Employment Coach (EC), to identify and support their employment aspirations.
- Assess and advise on financial implications related to part-time employment and disability benefits for individuals.
- Support YP in developing employment-related skills and connect them with relevant training opportunities.
- Provide initial workplace support to YP before transitioning ongoing support to their EC.
- Refer YP to specialist services for additional advice and support when appropriate.
- Develop tailored plans to help YP achieve their employment goals.
- Deliver or coordinate coaching and training sessions as required.
Collaboration & Case Management
- Collaborate weekly with AFK’s Senior Employment Coach to match job roles to YP from EC caseloads.
- Monitor YP progress into employment and maintain accurate records.
Administration & Professional Development

The Role
The Chief Medical Officer will be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, with responsibility for the clinical strategy and medical workforce. They will act as the organisation’s Responsible Officer, overseeing professional standards and revalidation, while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and clinical governance are maintained.
Working in close partnership with the Chief Clinical Officer and Deputy Chief of Nursing, Midwifery and Quality, the postholder will co-lead the development and delivery of clinical strategy, ensuring services are ethical, sustainable, and firmly grounded in person-centred care. They will also provide expert clinical advice to the Board and offer visible leadership across the organisation.

About Breadwinners
Breadwinners is a multi-award-winning social enterprise and charity that supports young people seeking asylum and refugees to have their first work experience in the UK, selling organic baked goods. Since 2016, we have steadily grown, and we are looking for our first Senior Fundraising Manager to help us take the next step in our growth journey. Breadwinner's unique model provides work, training and personal mentors, so that young refugees can start and progress in their careers, using our platform as a stepping stone. We achieve this goal through three consecutive programmes, using our award-winning bread stalls in markets across London and Brighton and wholesale for socially-minded cafes and restaurants.
Over the last 7 years, we have made a significant impact in supporting over 744+ programme participants, with an impressive 93% reporting notable improvements in their overall well-being, 76% of our Breadwinners programme participants progress into work, further education or volunteering, and all this while minimising our Carbon Footprint by 20.5% through the sale of organic goods. This year, we are planning to double our impact with young refugees, with recently secured funding, new markets, and a focus on our wholesale model.

Risers programme: A two-month early intervention programme designed to provide structured work experience, training, and mentorship to newly arrived young people seeking asylum through our 18 stalls.

Proofers programme: A progression programme that entails working remotely as part-time online sales representatives for six months, managing our wholesale delivery model.
