We are an award-winning anti-slavery charity working with governments and police forces across three strategic locations - the UK, Romania and Bangladesh. Through frontline programmes, policy advocacy and strategic partnerships, we work on the frontline to support survivors of modern slavery and bring perpetrators to justice, and in the corridors of power to create change at scale.
 

The role
Are you a relationship-builder, strategist and storyteller with a passion for justice? Join us as our new Philanthropy Lead and help take our major donor programme to the next level. 
 

This is a pivotal role in a growing team. You’ll lead our high-value philanthropy strategy, manage your own portfolio of major donors and prospects, and line-manage a talented Philanthropy Specialist - supporting their development as you grow the programme together. 
 

Working closely with our CEO, senior volunteers and programme leads across the UK, Romania and Bangladesh, you’ll shape how we grow income, insight and impact in the years ahead. Your focus will be on securing high five- and six-figure gifts from individuals and foundations who want to be part of the fight against modern slavery. 

This role requires regular presence in London.

Position Title: Helpline Supervisor
Reports To: Helpline Manager / CEO
Salary: £36,000 per annum, plus pension and employer NI contributions

Role Purpose:

The Helpline Supervisor will provide support, guidance and supervise the helpline advisors and in the future helpline volunteers. The role will further provide emotional support and debriefing for the helpline advisors and volunteers during each helpline shift and when appropriate after each reported incident. They will also oversee the quality of service and ensure each report is dealt with appropriately to a high standard and that reports are logged appropriately recording all relevant information, ensuring data is protected and all procedures are followed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and emotional support to helpline advisors.
   

• Monitor call logs, case records, and system reports to ensure quality and flag complex or urgent cases.
   

• Ensure safeguarding protocols are followed and lead on referrals involving serious risk or protection concerns.
   

• Deliver pre-shift briefings, post-shift debriefs, and facilitate reflective practice sessions.
   

• Coordinate rotas and ensure adequate shift coverage.
   

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of helpline staff (and volunteers when).
   

• Promote staff wellbeing and implement trauma-informed approaches in staff support.
   

• Liaise with external agencies and partners to strengthen referral pathways and collaborative responses.
   

• Lead on service improvement by identifying trends, risks, and areas for development.
   

• Monitor and analyse service data to contribute to internal reviews and funder reporting.
   

• Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.

• Undergo regular training in trauma-informed approach, safeguarding, anti-Muslim hate and any other relevant topics.
   

Person Specification:

• Supervisory or senior experience in helpline, casework, or support services.
   

• Proven ability to provide emotional and professional support to frontline staff.
   

• Experience in handling safeguarding referrals and risk assessments.
   

• Trauma-informed approach and working knowledge of hate crime, discrimination, and support needs.
   

• Strong understanding of anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia.
   

• Excellent understanding of British Muslim communities, their diversity, and everyday practices.

The Role

The Head of Events is a crucial role, with responsibility for the overall strategic and operational leadership of BAUS’s events portfolio, which is their main source of income. Their impressive programme of events includes their flagship BAUS Annual Scientific Meeting, hosting 1200 delegates and approximately 80 exhibitors. The events portfolio also includes a calendar of smaller events such as Specialist Section Meetings, Educational Courses, and the associated sponsorship.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the events team and be integral in the design and execution high profile events. The main focus will be on the delivery of the exciting calendar of existing events, however the team welcome new ideas and innovation to enhance, support and grow their portfolio.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Setting the vision, direction and standards for all BAUS events
• Ensuring an exceptional experience for all delegates and exhibitors
• Working to agreed budgets to maintain financial sustainability
• Aligning events with the educational vision
• Strengthening BAUS’s reputation through exceptional delivery.

The Person

We are looking for a someone with a proven track record in managing large scale conferences and events at a senior and strategic level. Ideally with experience working in a membership organisation, you should have strong strategic skills in project management, planning and budget management.

You should have the ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships with committees, sponsors, and partners and we are looking for someone who possesses the knowledge and expertise to negotiate, influence and solve problems. Most importantly, you will need to be pro-active, passionate and reliable. Please note that due to the requirements of this role, you must also be able to work flexibly to attend events when required (although the charity will pay expenses and operates a TOIL system).

The role

As our Challenge Events / Supporter Journey / Fundraiser Experience Manager (call it what you like), you’ll lead the supporter journey for our 3,000 challenge event fundraisers - making sure every interaction is personal, motivating and meaningful.

You’ll plan and deliver comms across all channels, from automated emails to personal messages and calls. You’ll ensure people feel seen, valued, and inspired - and help them understand the difference they’re making.

Your goals will be to increase fundraising per head in the short term, and supporter lifetime value in the longer term. You’ll also help us explore opportunities for repeat fundraising, corporate giving, major donors, and regular giving - working closely with the wider fundraising and events team.

You’ll be the go-to expert on supporter journeys: leading, challenging, testing, and building evidence for what works. From refining the Fundraiser Hub to creating new stewardship ideas or in-person experiences, you’ll shape a journey that turns one-time swimmers into lifelong supporters.

You’ll also collaborate with our Events Marketing team - because our fundraisers aren’t just donors, they’re also our best ambassadors. The better their experience, the stronger our word-of-mouth marketing and the faster our events grow.

You’ll have a lot of freedom to test ideas - as long as you can show the financial model makes sense.

Challenge Event Supporter Journey & Retention

Learn

• Review and lead audience insight to understand motivations and barriers
• Spot opportunities to increase value, connection and community 

Design

• Optimise our Supporter Journey plan to increase fundraising per head and product depth, and build strong, long-term relationships with supporters. 
• Ensure that our ‘Fundraiser Hub’ and other materials meet industry best practice 

Deliver 

• Send all emails for 15-20 events, following the Supporter Journey plan
• Attend many weekend swim events throughout the summer, giving our fundraisers the best possible experience to ensure that they sign-up to an event in the future
• Deliver additional personal touches to deepen relationships,  for example in-person events, training groups, information, offers, case studies, phone calls, hand-written cards, personalised thank-you communications, impact updates, recognition opportunities
• Lead our CRM use, keeping it up to date with supporter information
• Have a good knowledge and understanding of our ‘Swimmer Hub’ and where to access information about our swims

Deepen

• Cross-sell other fundraising products to our swimmer audience.  We magic up 3,000 new relationships every year 
• Maximise the opportunities each year to identify Corporates, Major Donors, Regular Givers, T&Fs and repeat fundraisers from this audience
• Develop new products - like Regular Giving or Memberships - with this audience in mind first. 

Improve

• Take a data-driven approach to improving our Supporter Journey and Communications across our products 
• Track data and deliver regular reporting to the Head of Fundraising and CEO to ensure that we remain on track for fundraising targets (e.g. JustGiving pages and amount raised so far)
• Continuously develop by learning and following industry best practice and current trends to identify opportunities to improve our Supporter Journey. 

Supporting Individual Fundraisers

• Input to CRM - Design and deliver Supporter Journey
• Create tips, templates, and tools (like email drafts, social media post ideas) for effective fundraising.
• Respond to Fundraisers through our Fundraising email inbox and social media pages and messaging platforms.
• Work closely with our mailing house to post fundraiser thank you's where necessary.

Fundraising know-how

• Stay informed and educate others on the latest fundraising trends and tools by engaging with industry updates, attending webinars, and exploring best practices. 
• Regularly share insights and recommendations with the internal team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement in fundraising innovations.
• Ensure that you are up to date with Fundraising Regulator best practice and legal process and attend regular training sessions on industry changes or updates.

Desirable skills and experience

• Customer Experience or Customer journey design & delivery
• Previous experience working in or with an ambitious charity or nonprofit

Job Purpose

This role plays a key part in the delivery of Operation Smile UK’s retention programme, generating income and retaining existing cash and regular giving donors. The Giving Engagement Officer (Retention) will support the Giving Engagement Manager to implement multi-channel (mail, telemarketing, web and email) donor retention campaigns, ensuring timely delivery, creative accuracy, and effective stakeholder coordination.

You will be responsible for managing campaign schedules, supporting the creative and data processes, and ensuring delivery partners are aligned. Key Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery & Coordination

· Deliver cultivation and retention campaigns, setting up and developing schedules in Asana and coordinating all required stakeholders.

· Manage timelines to ensure all activity is delivered on time and to plan.

· Compile campaign costs and track expenditure against budgets, flagging issues as they arise.

Creative, Data & Fulfilment Management

• Develop campaign briefs for creative, data output, print and fulfilment for review by internal teams and suppliers.
• Manage the creative sign-off process: collate feedback from stakeholders and ensure briefing accuracy to suppliers.
• Proof all campaign materials to maintain brand integrity and accuracy.

Digital & Email Communications

• Support the development of donor emails in line with agreed campaign structures.
• Coordinate the production and scheduling of email content in collaboration with the communications and data and tech team.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Compile campaign results for analysis and provide reports to inform future activity.
• Work closely with data teams to ensure appropriate segmentation and tracking.

Donor Stewardship

• Support the thank-you process, including personalising and developing donor thank-you cards as required.
• Contribute to improving supporter journeys and experiences through campaign touchpoints, especially for regular givers.

Role Purpose

The Director of Finance is a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for strategic financial leadership and ensuring the financial sustainability of the Diocese. This role encompasses treasury management, investment strategy, risk management, IT oversight, and long-term financial planning. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and implement a financial strategy aligned with the Diocese’s mission and long-term objectives.

In September 2024, National Numeracy launched a new ‘Schools & Families’ programme to support Primary School staff, parents and carers in increasing pupils’ confidence with numbers, positive feelings about maths, and awareness of the value of maths outside of the classroom. The programme has been hugely successful and is growing rapidly – we have now secured funding to deliver activity in all four nations of the UK and we are working with almost 300 schools currently.

The Schools & Families Programme Officer will support the Schools & Families Programme Manager in managing fast-paced activity across the UK, particularly delivering online training directly to school staff, recruiting schools, and visiting selected schools to ensure the success of the programme.

We are looking for someone who can support with this dynamic activity, is flexible, able to manage their time, and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the charity.
