About you
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual, who is capable of creating and delivering a strategic approach to commercial partnership development. The role requires an inspiring, solutions-focused and forward-thinking individual, with a proven track record in commercial development. The successful candidate will be an accomplished communicator, who is able to create new and build existing relationships, and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. As well as creating strategy, you will need to be comfortable delivering all aspects of business development including initial prospecting, preparation, presentation, negotiating, handling objections, closing, and ongoing partnerships stewardship and development.
About the role
After extensive scoping work throughout 2025, we are launching an exciting project to create a step change in the way we deliver our organisational knowledge, clinical expertise and information to add commercial value to potential customers across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, diagnostic and pharmaceutical companies. This new role of Head of Commercial Development will own the creation, development and delivery of this work.
You will be responsible for leading the creation of a commercial proposition for Myeloma UK, which will deepen relationships with the healthcare industry, pharmaceutical industry and other associated sectors, to promote Myeloma UK’s knowledge and expertise for commercial return. You will lead, develop and deliver our commercial development strategy, to include research, partner development and ongoing portfolio growth and development, to deliver a long-term, sustainably growing income stream from Myeloma UK’s commercial relationships. In addition, you will be expected to develop strong collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including key individuals across the organisation.

Ovarian cancer hasn’t seen the scientific breakthroughs that some other cancers have, with survival rates that haven’t changed meaningfully in decades. Role Purpose
Oversee a blended model of in-house direct labour teams and external supply chain partners, lead and empower your teams to successfully deliver effective building, mechanical, electrical and regulated compliance related works and services across the organisation's property portfolio to ensure our homes are safe and well maintained. Delivering against challenging KPI's, ensure continuous improvement and customer safety across gas, fire, water, electrical, lifts, M&E and asbestos.
Working with the Property Services Director and Assistant Directors to shape and implement the Property Compliance Delivery strategies to deliver effective building/property regulatory compliance in line with statutory, regulatory and policy requirements. Lead on new ways of working including the use of modern digital solutions to make our business more effective, agile, and responsive, requiring a forward and outward looking approach as well as an open mind and applying Lean principles in decision making.
Key Accountabilities
- Shape and contribute to the organisation's long-term compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with national housing policy and emerging legislation.
- Lead on the effective management of statutory compliance, ensuring all regulatory and legislative responsibilities for gas, electrical, asbestos, fire safety, legionella, water, and lifts are delivered.
- Oversee the delivery of regulatory repairs within the required timelines such as Damp, Mould and Condensation, Disrepair cases, and HHSRS related complex repairs, oversee escalated complaints that require additional attention to de-escalate and resolve.

RSTMH is a charity and membership society for those working or interested in tropical medicine and global health, and currently have around 2,000 members and Fellows from more than 100 countries, with a network of more than 10,000 involved with our work in some way. We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager who will help us manage all aspects of our membership programme. This involves maintaining high levels of retention and developing and delivering new recruitment strategies for members across the world.
The role will also focus on developing membership journey programmes to ensure our members receive a top quality service from the Society and that all membership processes are undertaken with efficiency, energy and effectiveness.
The Membership Manager will also play a crucial role in ensuring that we are promoting RSTMH, and its membership offer, to our members and supporters. This person would be the first point of contact for our members and so must be professional, a sound communicator and efficient in their approach.
Part of this role involves creating policies and processes to ensure members feel valued at each stage of their journey with RSTMH, developing new marketing products and materials for recruiting and retaining members where necessary.
The successful applicant will have membership management experience within a relevant charity or learned society and will relish the opportunity to take on a new challenge, working on their own initiative for much of the time.
The role
- Lead on developing and implementing current strategies to increase members of RSTMH, including monitoring and evaluating performance against plans and KPIs
- Analyse, identify and develop plans to optimise member journeys
- Manage enquiries from current/prospective members in a professional, timely manner, to agreed service targets
- Cultivate strong relationships with members and understand their specific needs so that RSTMH can support them most effectively via targeted communications
- Establish and maintain systems to report and evaluate RSTMH’s membership retention and recruitment success
- Deliver reports to keep the team, CEO and Board up to date with progress on membership activities and strategy
- Support the Senior Manager with leading our CRM (CiviCRM) development work
- Work with the team to develop activities and marketing campaigns to improve membership value, recruitment and retention take-up, achieving target conversion rates from other activity areas and feeding into relevant strategies and communications
- Collaborate with department Managers to increase membership recruitment within their stakeholder groups
- Develop and oversee communication templates for members, and ensure these are kept up to date
- Keep up to date with best practice in membership management
- Ensure the RSTMH website, journals, materials and other channels have up to date membership information
- Work with a third-party finance company to ensure membership subscription payments and renewals are processed efficiently and effectively, and ensure payment processes are fit for purpose, including payments from other currencies
- Assist with the agenda and delivery of the International Members Committee to ensure RSTMH’s offering to members and Fellows fulfils the overarching Society strategy and supports membership goals
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to commission and create content for the bi-weekly Members newsletter and membership recruitment campaigns
- Represent RSTMH at relevant events to promote membership and track success of these activities
- Explore new opportunities to expand membership, through new membership types, marketing opportunities or any other means
Person specification
- Passion and commitment to the work and goals of the Society
- At least 3 years' experience of working in a membership role, with experience of recruitment and retention campaigns
- Experience of working in a learned society or membership organisation
- At least 2 years’ experience using CRMs (specific experience with CiviCRM and SearchKit would be highly desirable)
- Experience of developing and delivering successful membership programmes that have increased recruitment and demonstrably reduced attrition.
- Experience of creating compelling messages to different audiences
- Highly organised, with ability to self-plan and prioritise workloads
- Ability to communicate technical details to non-technical people
- Experience of using social media in a professional capacity
- An understanding of current and emerging membership and marketing trends
- A solid understanding of relationship building and how to create a compelling membership journey

Summary of the role:
The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

About the Role:
- Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income.
- Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
- Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, strategic goals and Islamic values.
