We have an exciting opportunity for a manager of our Day Care Service in Maldon. This is a part-time role offered as part of a job share arrangement. You will have experience of supporting people with dementia, whether gained in a professional capacity or as an informal carer. Management experience is preferred but not essential.

Maldon Day Care Service provides an opportunity for older people to mix socially in a safe environment and engage in stimulating activities with the support of trained staff and volunteers. A varied activity programme caters for a wide range of interests including quizzes, singing and gentle exercises, and a cooked lunch is also provided. Day Care also provides a vital respite break for family Carers. The role of Day Care Manager involves overall responsibility for the service, and management of experienced and dedicated staff and volunteers.

Action for Family Carers is a thriving charity which for over 30 years has been providing support for Adult Carers and Young Carers – people with unpaid, caring responsibilities for others.  We are a Carers Trust Network Partner and Trusted Charity.  We provide support, information, counselling, Young Carer clubs and respite care across Essex, working within schools, with GP practices and in a variety of community settings.

The Jewish Museum London has undergone substantial positive change over the past two years, moving out of our Camden site and moving to a ‘Museum without Walls’ model. With new leadership installed at both lay and staff levels and a consultation process underway for the development of a five and fifteen-year strategy the Museum is looking for a new member of the team to assist in running the day-to-day administration of the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
The main role of the Executive Assistant will be to administrate the activities of the Museum. Organizing key meetings on behalf of the Senior Leadership Team (this will include Finance, Ops, Collections and Learning) will be a key part of the role. About the role:

As our Finance Manager you will be at the heart of the charity’s operations and play a vital role in helping to achieve our strategic objectives. Working closely with the Director of Operations and CEO, your role and expertise will be pivotal in driving excellence and integrity in financial management and strategic financial decision-making.

Your responsibilities will be to lead the entire financial lifecycle, from budgeting and forecasting, to the delivery of WellChild’s audit and the production of the charity’s Annual Report & Accounts to the appropriate standards.

What are we looking for:

You will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record of financial management and a solid understanding of charity accounting (including SORP and Charity VAT) and statutory accounts preparation. You will have strong analytical skills, a strong attention to detail, and be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the charity to support robust financial governance and ensure transparency in the management of financial operations. Your ability to interpret, analyse and communicate financial data will be key in informing decision-making and presenting clear, accessible reports to a range of stakeholders, including trustees and funders.

You will be confident using financial systems and tools such as Sage 50, Excel, and spreadsheets, and will consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Highly organised and detail-oriented, you will be able to work independently while upholding the values and integrity of the organisation.

As the main finance role for the charity (supported by the Operations Team) you will be an excellent communicator, an emotionally intelligent and diligent team player who takes pride in their work and enjoys a diverse workload.

Purpose of the Role

The Membership & Communications Manager is a new part time role at the School Partnerships Alliance, reporting to the Chief Executive and working closely with our Executive Assistant. You will join us at an exciting time as we develop our new organisational strategy and expand our current school membership offer. As this is a new position this post does not currently have direct reports, but there may be an opportunity to recruit additional team member(s) as the organisation continues to grow over the next 12-18 months. You will be required to work closely with both our CEO and Director of Programmes and Research to lead on the development and delivery of the membership strategy, both stewarding and growing our membership base year on year. You will also be required to manage our new website, provide support with our social media, and ensure that all member communications align with both our brand values and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a new, robust membership strategy that supports the S.P.A.’s key objectives. This will include new member acquisition, current member retention and ensuring that stewardship of school members is effective and fit for purpose. You will work with the Director of Programmes and Research to help deliver a credible school partnerships CPD programme and collaborate with the wider S.P.A. team to create a tangible, attractive membership offer (both on and off-line) that will bring schools together, challenge existing partnership practice and support new thinking.
• Actively identify, solicit and enrol new schools as members, building and maintaining an evolving pipeline of new membership prospects.
• Plan and prepare for meetings with current and potential members and accompany CEO and/or Director of Programmes and Research to cultivation meetings where appropriate.
• Be the first point of call for all members and with the support of the Executive Assistant to the CEO, oversee the processing of all new membership applications, renewals and invoices and ensure all enquiries from existing and prospective members are responded to in a timely manner.
• Work with the wider team to confirm a calendar of membership events across the school year. These will take place both online and/or in locations across the UK, so occasional travel will be required.
• Oversee the membership budget and provide quarterly income forecasts and reports to the CEO and Trustees, monitoring and reporting against income targets.
• Build and maintain partnerships with wider S.P.A. stakeholders to include external school membership organisations, MATs and S.P.A. trustees.
• Empower S.P.A. staff and our trustee board to support membership development, utilising their talents and networks effectively.

You will be a Christian, qualified accountant with proven experience as an international finance leader, having implemented new systems and worked across multiple jurisdictions. Experience of the charity/humanitarian sector and an understanding of the complexities of in-country programme management would be beneficial. The Director of Care is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic development, operational management, and continuous improvement of patient care services within the Mary Stevens Hospice. Ensuring the highest standards of palliative and end-of-life care are delivered in line with regulatory requirements, national best practices, and the values of the hospice. Working closely with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Care will provide visionary leadership, fostering a culture of compassion, excellence, and innovation in patient care.

They will take the role and responsibilities as the registered manager for the hospice and its regulated activities in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The postholder will act as the Director for Infection Prevention.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· As the Registered Manager, you will ensure that all legislative requirements of the Care Quality Commission are adhered to within the necessary timeframes, maintaining outstanding ratings where possible.

· Develop and implement the hospice’s care strategy in line with the organisational vision.

· To lead on the delivery of care strategies to always ensure outstanding standards of patient care and safety.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

· Chair the Infection Prevention committee and report to the Senior Leadership Team any actions required.

· Monitor and be responsible for quality assurance and governance standards across all clinical services.

· Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks.

· Ensure hospice compliance with local and national standards and ensure that regular audits of all care services are carried out and improvements in practice are instigated as needed.

· Attend regular Trustee meetings as a member of the Senior Leadership Team providing reports as requested.

· Provide the CEO with information on clinical operational issues and any risks to service delivery with recommendations for action, in a timely manner.

· To develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with external stakeholders, including the Integrated Care Board and commissioning bodies, to influence palliative care provision across Dudley and the wider community.

· Represent the hospice at local Place and End of Life meetings as required.

· Provide strong leadership, support and supervision across the clinical and supportive care teams maintaining professional and ethical standards.

· Manage and monitor clinical effectiveness, ensuring continuous quality improvement.

· Management of direct reports by providing support, supervision and advice through regular 1:1s and annual appraisals fostering a developmental culture and consistently applying the hospice HR policies and procedures as appropriate.

They are now recruiting for an interim Director of Services to lead the organisation through a time of change and development.

As interim Director of Services, you will work across various departments to oversee the strategic delivery of beneficiary-focussed services, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to target and to budget. We are looking for a dynamic and people-focussed Finance Coordinator to take our organisation to the next phase: this is a fantastic opportunity to have a real impact at a fast-growing organisation. We have recently upgraded our finance systems to Xero and updated our processes: we now want to build on this success. The Finance Coordinator will prepare financial reports for the board and ensure compliance with financial regulations. They will work with our bookkeeper to ensure excellent day-to-day financial management. They will collaborate with our Project Leads, supporting them to set and manage budgets, report quarterly to the board, and ensure all project income and expenditure is recorded accurately in Xero. They will also use produce cashflow forecasts and scenarios using the Xero integration with Syft that Selce has implemented. They will also play a role in HR processes reviewing timesheets monthly and ensuring contracts are amended as staff roles evolve. This role is crucial in supporting the financial health and sustainability of our organisation.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

· Review financial data and prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.

· Present financial reports with variance analysis and commentary for the board.

· Support with the preparation of annual accounts, working with Selce’s nominated accountants and the Board.
