About the role:

This role is based at our Birmingham office with the option of hybrid working from home. Travel across the area is required, travelling time is within working hours & expenses are reimbursed. The hours for this role are Monday and Tuesday 8am to 4pm, and Wednesday 12noon to 8pm

As a Caseworker you will:

• Effectively managing a caseload, delivering excellent services via telephone, video call and in person to support service users
• Assessing need and risk at initial contact and on an on-going basis
• Developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans for those affected by crime, who accept ongoing support. Support will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
• Helping service users build healthy coping mechanisms and providing practical support and information
• Identifying and providing action to safeguarding concerns
• Working collaboratively with key partners
• Using a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contributing to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes
• Delivering awareness raising sessions on the impact of crime to partner agencies and community groups and participating in community events.

You will need:

• An understanding of the impact of crime
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• A proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)
• The ability to balance competing needs and priorities

About the Role

This is an exciting new role which will help the Methodist Church in Britain to embed in the life of churches its commitment to be justice-seeking. 

In 2024, the Church adopted a Strategy to embed the Methodist Conference’s Justice-Seeking Church Report in local churches, across the Connexional Team and throughout the life of Methodism. 

The Justice-Seeking Church Officer will shape and develop this work across all levels of the Church in creative and innovative ways, identifying opportunities and responding to challenges.  They will strengthen leadership for justice across churches, and enable collaboration across programmes and issues. They will enable theological reflection and will lead on shaping the vital emerging work around participation of people with lived experience of poverty.

You will be a member of the Justice Team but work collaboratively with many others. You will also be part of the wider Mission Team, playing a key role in the implementing its strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.

In this post, you will focus on the following priorities:

• Developing and embedding key areas of the Justice-Seeking Church strategy in churches and the Methodist Connexional Team
• Strengthening leadership in social justice and social action
• Developing opportunities for faith formation and theological engagement
• Developing new work around the leadership and participation of people with lived experience of poverty

• Experience in building influence and motivating wide a range of people and groups

About the Role

As a Caseworker, you will provide structured, tailored support plans based on holistic assessments for individuals affected by crime. You will make initial contact with victims via the telephone, then tailor the support to the Victims preferences i.e. home visits or via conference calls, to explain our services, and assess the impact of crime. Your responsibilities will include developing, delivering, and monitoring safety and support plans, providing resources, interventions, and information to service users.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.

About You

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

The DRIVE Service Manager will be responsible for mobilising the expansion project across London, working closely with all Boroughs and te Drive Central Team.

The DRIVE Team (Case Managers and Team Leaders) will develop and co-ordinate an individual, multi-modal intervention plan for each Service User, which will incorporate support and/or disruption strategies; a pro-active approach to Service User engagement and commitment to working towards attitudinal and behavioural change, whilst keeping the victim’s safety central to any interventions implemented. The Service Manager will seek to ensure this role is carried out fairly, and take organisational responsibility for risk.

The DRIVE Service Manager will also line manage DRIVE Team Leaders and Case Managers where needed

Management and Development:

· Provide each Team Leader/Case Manager with monthly Case Management Supervision.

· As part of the monthly Case management supervision process, the Team Leaders and Case Manager should be given the opportunity to discuss Service User cases; exploring concerns, reviewing assessment decisions and developing a collaborative individual intervention plan.

· Ensure that the service is managed in accordance with its governing documents from the DRIVE case management manual.

· Provide annual appraisal and regular support and supervision reviews to ensure that great performance is recognised; and that poor performance, and welfare issues affecting performance, are addressed. Offering Clinical Supervision as necessary.

· Support, manage and develop Team Leaders and Case Managers, promoting wellbeing and growth within their roles.

· Ensure Team Leaders and Case Managers maintain safeguarding training up to date in line with local protocols.

· Ensure Team Leaders and Case Managers attend all training delivered by RESPECT and other relevant training.

· Ensure that all safeguarding and critical incidents are reported in a timely manner following the appropriate protocols.

Management and Performance:

· Provide routine reports to the Project Director, funders and stakeholders so that they can assess the overall performance of the service.

· To ensure that the required data is recorded on the Drive case management system, so that the evaluation, performance management and service learning is maximised.

· Represent the service at local and national events; deliver training and presentations as appropriate in partnership with the Project Director.

· Contribute to the learning from the Drive Pilot through service reviews, working with the Drive Evaluators, supporting the Drive Partnership in addressing implementation and ongoing delivery

Strategic Management

· Develop and maintain links with other agencies, both as an individual and as a service; developing protocols, referral procedures, skills sharing and joint working with external partners as appropriate.

· Attend and partake the Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panel (DAPP) and MARAC meetings.

· Develop and maintain effective links with other agencies, attending strategic and operational working groups as appropriate.

· Demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving barriers to achieving the Drive objectives with other professionals and services.

· Share best practice with other Service Managers to further develop the role and the Drive project in general.

· Work with the Director, Practice Adviser, Steering Group and Drive Project Evaluators to maximise learning from the pilot sites and modify the model according to findings from data on what is proving effective.

· Develop and share ideas for service innovation, exploring options for implementation locally and informing the potential for national roll-out on conclusion of the pilot phase.

Recording and administrative tasks:

· Supervision sessions will be recorded on the Case Management Supervision pro- forma, and form part of the quality assurance and staff support and supervision processes as well as informing the personal and professional development of the Team leader Case Manager.

· Ensure that Team Leader and Case Managers’ files and records are accurate and complete, submitted at the appropriate data collection milestones and that both are kept and are in compliance with General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and meet IMR (Internal Management Report for Domestic Homicide Reviews DHR) recording standards.

· Maintain an accurate and secure audit trail of all relevant communication in compliance with GDPR 2018.

· Support Team Leaders and Case Managers to use the Drive Project electronic case management system accurately and consistently for all their work.

General tasks:

· Be a strong advocate for RISE delivery, representing RISE and its strategic direction at key stakeholder events.

· Attend management meetings as directed by line manager.

In this pivotal role, you’ll respond to media enquiries, pitch impactful stories to journalists, and craft bold narratives that reflect the lived realities of women and girls around the world. Working closely with partners, activists, and spokespeople, you’ll write compelling talking points, prepare media materials, and contribute to the development of strategic messaging that supports our campaigns and organisational goals. 

You’ll also help ensure that our storytelling remains rooted in our anti-racist and feminist values, presenting people’s experiences with depth, dignity, and respect. This role involves working on confidential and sensitive issues, and you’ll need good judgement, diplomacy, and resilience. What we're looking for: 

• A confident media professional with a strong background in media relations, ideally in an advocacy or campaigning context.
• A natural storyteller and sharp writer with excellent attention to detail.
• An understanding of the UK media landscape and how to build trusted journalist relationships would be desirable.  

This role is not just about coverage—it’s about impact.  You’ll need to be a confident writer with sharp editorial instincts and a passion for progressive, rights-based storytelling. You’ll handle media enquiries, pitch powerful stories to journalists, and craft compelling narratives that centre the voices and lived experiences of women and girls from marginalised communities and respond swiftly to breaking news and humanitarian emergencies. You’ll also be part of a team that centres anti-racist storytelling storytelling, supporting communities to lead in how their stories are told. Location: This is a remote UK-based role with regular travel to CST’s national and regional events, mainly in Birmingham and London. Candidates within reasonable travel distance to these locations are preferred.

Salary: £41,603 - £45,470 a year.

Pension: We offer a workplace pension and life assurance scheme. CST makes contributions equivalent to 10% of your gross salary.

The Professional Communities Manager leads the development, content curation, and operational delivery of CST’s 11 Professional Communities. These networks, events, and forums are a core benefit of CST membership and are provided free of charge to members.

This is a proactive, member-focused role that blends operational excellence with strategic content oversight. The postholder will work directly with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters, CST platinum partners and members to ensure that all communities are vibrant, professionally hosted, and deliver high-quality, relevant content.

The role also plays a key part in ensuring a joined-up approach to content across CST’s full range of activities, working closely with the professional learning and conference teams and partnerships to ensure alignment and maximise value for members.

Key responsibilities

 Strategic Development and Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen the value, engagement, and content of CST Professional Communities.
• Set clear objectives and KPIs to monitor success and drive continuous improvement of community services.
• Regularly evaluate community activity, identifying ways to increase engagement, relevance, and impact for members.

Community Content Curation and Management

• Oversee the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all 11 Professional Communities, ensuring alignment with member priorities and organisational objectives.
• Work in partnership with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters and CST’s platinum partnerships to proactively commission, curate, and quality-assure community content (e.g., webinars, blogs, resources, discussions).
• Work closely with the professional learning and conference teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent approach to content across CST activity, avoiding duplication and enhancing overall member value.
• Identify content gaps and work creatively, including drawing upon resources and contacts within the policy and partnership team to address them, ensuring a balanced and evolving programme across the communities.

Community Engagement and Facilitation

• Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person community events, ensuring professional delivery and high-quality member interaction.
• Support and brief speakers, chairs, and contributors to ensure a consistently excellent experience for members.
• Actively promote member engagement through community platforms and other channels, driving participation and interaction.

 Stakeholder Relationships

• Build and maintain strong relationships with CST members, community chairs, speakers, and supporters.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues across membership, communications, professional learning, policy, and conference teams to maximise the impact of community activities.
• Manage relationships with sponsors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with CST values.

Digital Platform and Event Management

• Oversee the effective use of digital and platforms (including CiviCRM and Hivebrite,) to host communities, deliver events, and share content.
• Manage operational aspects of events and online communities, ensuring smooth logistics and excellent user experience.

Data, Insight, and Reporting

• Monitor and report on community engagement, content performance, and member feedback, using data to guide improvements.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage, develop, and support the Professional Communities Coordinator, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

About Women in Prison

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
 

Job Purpose:

The Diversion Project Worker will engage with women referred through both formal and informal Liaison & Diversion (L&D) routes. Formal routes include police, courts, and other legal channels, while informal routes will focus on identifying women at greatest risk of offending. This role is designed to offer early intervention, providing structured, person-centred, and goal-focused support to provide 1:1 support, to help meet women’s immediate needs and to support them to prepare for a brighter future. From signposting and working in partnership with other grassroots organisations, to delivering group workshops and 1:1 support on topics such as mental health and wellbeing, domestic abuse, training and skills development, finance, debt and benefits.
 

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive support to women in contact with, or at risk of contact with the criminal justice system.
2. Monitor case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording, aligning with contract KPIs and WIP policies.
3. Develop and maintain effective partnerships with police, courts, and community organisations to ensure coordinated, multi-agency support for women and to strengthen referral pathways.

Working closely with Community Development Managers across regions within the UK, you will create opportunities for members of the Armed Forces community (AFC) and their families to connect with Help for Heroes and their local community.

You will have experience of working alongside communities to create the conditions for community-led change, ideally with experience of Asset-Based Community Development. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change.

• Conduct outreach to celebrate community strengths and foster engagement. 

• Develop and embed an ABCD-informed way of working. 

• Identify ‘Connectors’ across the community and provide opportunities for them to come together regularly to exchange learning and map community assets. • Encourage and support community-led action in response to local AFC interests / aspirations through peer led/ co – designed initiatives.

We are looking for someone with: 

• A Community Development qualification and/or experience of taking an asset-based approach to community development with transferable skills. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships that drive action. 

• A track record of successful collaboration with internal and external partners and stakeholders. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of the centre of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly within a 75-mile radius of this location (travel expenses covered). There will The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes. 

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. You will be part of a newly formed Community Development team, dedicated to embedding Asset-Based Community Development.
