The CVAA Practice Programme delivers 30 or more online courses each year to those working in the sector, primarily social workers. The Training Manager will work with the Head of Practice Development and the Programme Administrator to ensure that the courses are full, delivered effectively and evaluated. Part of the role will also be to source new trainers and support the creation of the programme into 2025.
The CVAA team work remotely across the UK so location of the postholder is not a barrier to recruitment as long as long as they can travel occasionally and come into London for team days. The team is small, diverse and dynamic. Experience of project management or delivery of training or events is more important than knowledge of adoption or children's social care. This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
The exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
- To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
- Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
- Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families
- To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
- Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
- Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
- Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
- Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
- Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.
- Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.
- Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of low to medium risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.

We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.
We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.
We are delighted to have been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund and are now starting the process of establishing a new bereavement support service in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Child Bereavement UK as we look to recruit two full-time Bereavement Support Practitioners to join the new service in Birmingham which will provide bereavement support to individuals, couples, families and in group settings.
The post holders will support the Bereavement Support Service Lead in the provision and evaluation of a service that ensures families and professionals can access high quality bereavement support in situations where a baby or child of any age has died, or where children or young people up to the age of 25 are bereaved.
The Bereavement Support Practitioners will:
· Work with the Bereavement Support Service Lead in providing and evaluating the service to support parents bereaved of a baby or child, of any age or children and young people up to the age of 25 bereaved of anybody important to them.
- Support the Bereavement Support Service Lead in developing and establishing Child Bereavement UK’s service as a source of advice and support for families and professionals across the region.
- Manage a caseload and provide a programme of individual and couple sessions and to develop and provide facilitated Groups for Parents bereaved of a baby or child.
- Contribute to the provision of a programme of individual and family support sessions, Groups for Families, Groups for Young People and school liaison.

About the Role
The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive service to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on the development of a child and family-centred approach to work in the refuge. In so doing, they will:
- Develop and deliver a range of trauma-informed services to children and young people (0-17 years) and their mothers within the refuge and when they are resettled into the community.

· Our volunteer-run Coffee Lounge is open 5 days a week, providing a safe and warm space in the community to over 150 customers each week.
· The Pelham as a Community Hub welcomes over 400 people through our doors each week and hire our spaces out to over 60 different local organisations that use The Pelham as a base for their valuable assistance to help people in need locally. · RunningSpace is our suicide prevention project with a vision to champion life and beat suicide through walk2run groups. We currently run sessions in five locations, across East Sussex and Kent. We also host suicide prevention training too on a regular basis.
· The Pelham Counselling Service offers individual and group work therapy sessions with its team of 9 counsellors. It offers bursaries and a flexible service to best meet the needs of local people.

Main Purpose of the Role:
The Youth Worker will take the leadership role in the development of Youth work from The Pelham, as part of its charitable work and community service, working under the guidance of the CEO and as part of the Project Leadership team.

This role is a hybrid role within the Children and Families Team which is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to children and young people that have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.
The Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will act as the gateway for all children and young people referrals to the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will:

The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course which is part of the child mental health workforce development programme. The course started in January 2019 to train graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce. It is a key part of the Green Paper proposals to establish mental health workers in schools and contribute to increasing the workforce set out by the government by 2025.
The Course Tutor will support teaching delivery on the Pg Dip in Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme.
