JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Deliver current services efficiently, achieving high levels of performance and satisfaction against contract requirements in both quantitative and qualitative terms.

2. Lead and develop the team in a supportive and collaborative manner and build resilience into the organisation.

3.Maintain and develop effective relationships with existing funders to ensure the renewal and ideally expansion of existing contracts as well as seeking new funders to help achieve Richmond CVS’s External Income growth goals.

4. Be a visible and effective ambassador and champion for Richmond CVS within the local and wider London Voluntary Sector to promote and support the health and growth of the Sector.

5. In collaboration with the Board, develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key external stakeholders to ensure maximum impact.

6. Ensure strategic representation for Richmond CVS and the Voluntary Community Social Enterprise in key strategic boards and partnerships.

7. Work with the Board, Company Secretary and Treasurer to ensure effective and efficient Governance, to include:  Annual Work Plan, regular and timely reporting on contractual and project performance metrics, financial planning and reporting, risk management, policies and procedures and meeting all statutory requirements.

8.Work with the Board on the development, deployment and review of the Strategic Plan and Priorities and prepare an Annual Financial and Business Plan for approval and ongoing review by the Board.

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity to join Into Film and lead on the production of all audio-visual content for the UK’s foremost film education charity. Overseeing an in-house production team of six, the Production Lead will work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to identify, develop and deliver an exciting and wide range of content for classroom resources, social media channels and the Into Film website.

The role is initially available for a fixed term through to 31st March 2026, but may become permanent pending continuation of funding.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Joint Heads of Programme and Head of Marcomms to identify audio visual requirements in support of the Into Film strategy, including income generation. 
• Lead on planning and allocation of work for a team of six, supporting on and leading projects as required.
• Oversee departmental production budget, and budget from commissioning departments, ensuring that expenditure is planned, tracked and evaluated. 
• Plan for and manage freelancers in support of production activity as required.
• Manage Production Team, identifying where support, training and development are required to ensure a flexible approach to producing a diverse range of audio-visual content. 
• Ensure that statutory regulations in the provision of film and media content are complied with (safeguarding and child protection, GDPR etc.). 
• Ensure that all audio-visual content is legally compliant and rights are cleared for use on specified channels. 
• Oversee production on key projects including the Into Film Festival and the Into Film Awards. 
• Ensure that Into Film audio-visual content reflects the diversity of its audiences, including teachers, young people and children from under-represented backgrounds and communities. 
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

• Good working knowledge of rights and compliance issues in relation to audio visual production.

There is growing demand from both communities who need our support and from volunteers who want to give their time to make a difference.

About this job

We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.

With extensive experience and knowledge of applied research, evaluation and data analysis, you’ll provide strategic leadership to design, develop and deliver a programme of evidence projects as well as managing a team of evidence officers, identifying gaps in our evidence and providing advice about how to fill them.

You’ll deliver internal projects and commission external research projects, working with colleagues in policy, press, campaigns and beyond to do so. Contributing to key internal working groups will be another key aspect of the role, as well as monitoring and responding to requests for evidence. And you’ll be committed to ensuring people with MS are involved in the design and delivery of evidence projects and to ensuring we seek views from people from a wide range of backgrounds.

The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, oversight and curation to the FYT Leadership Team, and to lead the smooth running of the FYT Organisation which supports the wider FYT Movement. This will include coordinating the delivery of the strategic plan, leading fundraising, and working closely with the FYT Board to oversee the smooth running of the organisation.

Hours: 22.5 hrs per week
Salary: £24,116 per annum (£40,194 pro rata) + 9% pension
Holidays: 5 weeks plus bank holidays and 3 additional days at Christmas
Location: Working from home, with nationwide travel expected

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the FYT Movement – Engage with movement members

2. Lead the FYT staff team – supporting, supervising, enabling and encouraging and ensuring appropriate HR functions are carried out. 
3. Lead the fundraising strategy for the organisation, giving attention to securing grants, as well as donor fundraising . Report as necessary to funders.
4. Work with the Finance Officer to manage the budget and finances within the parameters agreed by the Board.
5. Facilitate the effective function of the Leadership Team, enabling the smooth and efficient carrying out of the strategic priorities.
6. Provide Line Management support and supervision to the other members of the Leadership Team.
7. Develop, implement and monitor FYT’s strategic plan in partnership with the FYT team and board
8. Engage in practical theological reflection on FYT’s mission and how it is expressed.
9. Attend and contribute as required to Board meetings, working closely with the Chair and Board to ensure that appropriate issues are raised, and that any agreed action is put into effect.
10. Be an advocate for marginalised young people, the issues they face, and youth workers and projects working with them (pursuing prophetic mischief, provocation, and taking up our unique space in the youth ministry community).
11. Make links with appropriate Christian, voluntary and statutory bodies and to represent FYT in appropriate forums and pursue opportunities for collaborative working.
12. Support the active promotion of the FYT training and resource offer.
13. Lead the monitoring and evaluation (impact assessment) of FYT’s work

Other functions:

1. Meet regularly with Line Manager for supervision.
2. Undertake administration and keep necessary work records.
3. Comply with all FYT policies and procedures.
4. Work collaboratively with the FYT leadership team and Board to ensure that organisational policies are regularly reviewed.
5. Engage in CPD/lifelong learning.
6. Undertake any other tasks that may be requested, commensurate with the nature and level of the post and as may be required by the Board of Trustees.

Additional Information

• The Leadership Team is supported by a contract with Giraffe HR that assists in the day to day running of the organisation, primarily managing the finances of the organisation.
• Engagement in ongoing, regular youth work with marginalised young people is not a requirement of this post, but encouraged. FYT will be flexible where possible in order to facilitate this.

The Role

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across regions, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region.

Mentoring programme

• Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
• Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
• Design and deliver events and workshops for mentees.
• Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
• Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
• Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
• Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
• Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network process in line with our child protection policy.
• Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.

Partnerships

• Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
• Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.
• Be an active presence in the community, attending events and networks to encourage local women to mentor on our programme.

The Girls’ Network reputation and network

• Advocate The Girls’ Network at every opportunity, through local media, PR activities and social media.
• Identify opportunities to build the reputation of The Girls’ Network in your region and through events and networking.
• Report significant successes and achievements to relevant staff members.

Ongoing success of The Girls’ Network

• Work with the Programme Team to identify key areas for programme development.
• Opportunities to get involved in programme and wider organisational projects.
• Understand the development of school initiatives nationally and in your region, and understand their impact and implications for The Girls’ Network programmes.
• Attend programme and whole team meetings and team days.
• Maintain and champion a girls-centred way of working.

Other duties

As a small charity with limited resources, all staff are expected to be flexible with their work and as such you may be required to undertake other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time.

Context of Job

 AFK is a national charity helping young disabled people develop their independence and find employment. Our vision is a world where all people living with a disability get to lead the life they choose. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work placements across North London. At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.

Job Purpose

To support young people with disabilities aged 18 to 25 to progress towards and into employment.

The role will involve liaising with education professionals and employers and brokering new opportunities for supported employment, volunteering, and work placements. You will work with young people to provide specialist one to one coaching, assess, and develop their employability skills and support them towards their own goals and objectives. 

Working Conditions

This post is 35 hours per week. The post holder will occasionally be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

28 days annual leave will be given in addition to normal public holidays. There is a TOIL Policy.

Principle Responsibilities

· Work with a caseload of individual young people to identify and support their aspirations for future employment and formulate plans to enable them to achieve their goals.

· Contribute to progress reports, reviews, open evenings and other events with education professionals, families, and young people

· Provide intensive 1:1 support in all aspects of employment support.

· Inform and work closely with the Employment Broker on the type of jobs that trainees want sourced, or job carved so that placements can be sought.

· Refer people for specialist advice and support 

· Secure voluntary work, work tasters and work experience placements for individuals to support their journey towards employment.

· Work with our experienced Service Delivery Team to deliver or co-ordinate coaching, and training as required.

· Support people in the workplace as required.

· Develop and maintain knowledge of the local labour market and opportunities relating to employment, work experience and volunteering.

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employer groups, statutory, voluntary, and private organizations to support the development of suitable opportunities.
