Role Title: Lovelight Christmas Concert Event Volunteer

Department: Fundraising

Reporting to: The Regional Fundraising / Event Manager on duty

Locations:

Carmarthen (St Peter's Church) – Tuesday 28th November

Aberdare (Saron Chapel Independent Baptist) – Wednesday 29th November

Wrexham (St Giles Church) – Thursday 30th November

Cardiff (Llandaff Cathedral) – Thursday 30th November

Abergavenny (St Marys Priory) – Friday 1st December

Bridgend (St Mary's Nolton) – Friday 1st December

Newport (Newport Cathedral) – Monday 4th December

Bangor (Saint Deiniol's Cathedral) – Monday 4th December

Llandeilo (Ebenezer Chapel) – Tuesday 5th December

Swansea (Morriston) – Thursday 7th December

Cardiff (St Andrew's, Roath Church) - 7th / 14th Dec

St Asaph (St Asaph Cathedral) – Thursday 7th December

Pontypridd (St Catherines Church) – Friday 8th December

Aberystwyth (Holy Trinity Church) – Monday 11th December

Llandudno (Holy Trinity Church) – Thursday 14th December

Llanidloes (St Idloes Church) – Saturday 6th January

 

 

Why am I needed?

Tenovus Cancer Care’s Lovelight Christmas Concerts are now in their 16th year and these special concerts are designed to support people affected by cancer, and to give families and friends an opportunity to come together to remember loved ones lost.

Come along and join us for an evening of music and candlelight! We need friendly volunteers to help our event team run our Lovelight concerts.

 

What will I be doing?

Help setting up the event

Welcoming and checking tickets on arrival

Selling raffle tickets

Parking Steward (Newport Only)

Lighting audience candles for moments of reflection during the concert

Bucket collection

Tidying and packing away at the end of the event

 Marshall the event & point attendees in the right direction

 

What skills do I need?

Good organizational skills,

Friendly and welcoming

 

How much time do I need to commit?

 

For our Lovelight Christmas Concerts and we would require volunteers between 6:00pm until 10pm.

 

What support will I be given?

 

You will be provided with an event brief prior to the concert and you will be supported by the events team on the day and joined by fellow volunteers.
