UHCW Charity funds projects outside of the NHS budget, from tiny gel pillows to support premature babies' heads, to world-leading research into lung cancer. If you're ready to make a difference, UHCW Charity needs your expertise to join our expanding team.
Based in Coventry, you will coordinate and develop our community and events fundraising activity. This will include working with community groups, individuals, schools and more, as well as event management and working with teams across the Trust.

Location: UHCW Charity, Main Reception, Coventry, CV2 2DX
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time)
Salary: £27,000 - 34,000 (depending on experience)
Annual leave and pension:
- 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
- Company pension scheme with matched contributions of up to 7%

About the Role
Llanelli Foodbank is seeking a Fundraising Officer—a passionate and motivated individual who can inspire local businesses, community groups, and individuals to contribute to the fight against food insecurity. Every pound raised means another meal on the table for a family in need, and this role is pivotal in securing the vital funding required to sustain and expand our services.
As our Fundraising Officer, you will:

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with local businesses, donors, and sponsors.

Develop creative fundraising campaigns that increase public donations by at least 50% within a year.

Organise community initiatives and events that not only raise funds but also spread awareness of food poverty in Llanelli.

Identify and apply for relevant grants and funding opportunities to support and grow the Foodbank’s impact.

Track and report on fundraising efforts, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.
This is a dynamic role that combines remote working with hands-on community engagement. Whether you’re networking with potential donors, running a fundraising event, or securing crucial grant funding, your efforts will directly contribute to the long-term fight against poverty in Llanelli.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a proven track record in fundraising. Strong communication skills, a talent for relationship-building, and an ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences are essential. You’ll need to be highly organised, proactive, and passionate about making a tangible difference in people’s lives.
Desirable qualifications and skills include:

Experience in fundraising, community engagement, or business development.

Knowledge of grant writing and reporting.

Familiarity with the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice.

A valid driver’s license for travel across the community.

About the Role
This newly created senior fundraising position is an exciting, career-defining opportunity! As Philanthropy Manager you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing the charity’s Major Donor and Individual Giving strategies, ensuring they achieve their ambitious income growth.
As part of our supportive and passionate fundraising team, you will:
- Develop and grow the Major Donor and Individual Giving programmes.
- Create compelling campaigns that inspire generosity and long-term commitment from donors.
- Engage and steward donors, taking them on a meaningful journey with our cause.
- Implement digital and in-person strategies to attract new supporters.
- Build and lead a future fundraising team, shaping the direction of philanthropic giving for years to come.
About You
You should be an experienced major donor fundraiser with a proven track record in securing high net worth gifts. You will understand the power of storytelling and how to create meaningful engagement with supporters. You should be:
- A natural relationship builder, confident in making funding asks and developing long-term donor partnerships.
- A strategic thinker, able to develop and implement systems that ensure growth and sustainability.
- Organised and proactive, skilled at juggling multiple projects while maintaining excellent communication.
- Motivated to lead, with the potential to grow the role into a leadership position, developing a team around you in the future.
Perhaps most importantly, you should be passionate about making an impact, excited about the charity’s mission and the children they serve. You should be committed to raising funds to enable the frontline work of Kidz Klub Leeds to take place and be a passionate ambassador for the charity.

This role is permanent and full time however potential for a part time or term time only role for the right candidate. The role will include some out of office hours (eg. some evenings and weekends for presentations and events) and travel will be required to events and to represent the charity.
