We’re recruiting an Events Coordinator to help run our city-centre climate action hub, called Imagine Leeds. Imagine Leeds is an innovative venue where people come together to plan and take action on climate, nature and social justice. It is part of the Climate Action Leeds Network, which was established in 2020.

This post is part of a three-year funding package of £493,000 to support community climate action in Leeds. The funding comes from the National Lottery, Leeds Community Foundation, Bunzl, the University of Leeds and North Star Coffee Roasters. Climate Action Leeds is run by a partnership made up of Voluntary Action Leeds and Leeds Love It Share It CIC.

We are looking for a hard working person who is experienced in organising and delivering events, so we can run an engaging series of events on topics relating to sustainability and social justice.

The successful candidate will help coordinate the day to day activities at Imagine Leeds. The venue provides space for events, meetings, co-working, exhibitions and networking. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective running of this well-loved venue, ensuring that it can continue to serve Leeds’ vibrant community of changemakers and facilitate engagement with thousands of people across the city.

Key outcomes for this role are:

• Bringing together a range of people and organisations to contribute to our mission imagining (and then creating) a more sustainable Leeds, that is zero carbon, nature friendly and socially just. 

  • Organising a minimum of 1 event each month, attracting at least 20 attendees.

• Contributing to the smooth and professional running of Imagine Leeds to help build its reputation as a valuable institution for the city.

• Supporting the mission to find a permanent home for Imagine Leeds.

Duties and responsibilities

In the course of their duties, this post will require joint working with other members of the Imagine Leeds team. Duties may change as the post and programme progresses. Any changes will be discussed with the postholder. 

• Events organising

  • Organising regular events at Imagine Leeds to bring people together to discuss the future of the city.

  • Facilitating events in a way that encourages everyone to feel safe, welcome, and able to take part effectively.

  • Widening participation so that people from a variety of backgrounds are able to get involved in Imagine Leeds events.

• Communications and displays

  • Promoting Imagine Leeds and its events through a variety of communications channels including websites, mailing lists, social media, posters and leaflets.

  • Contributing to the design and production of displays that help people understand how the city works today, and imagine a more sustainable future.

• Venue support and evaluation

  • Supporting people using Imagine Leeds for their meetings and events, including tech setup, accessibility and inclusion, and opening and closing the venue.

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Imagine Leeds and its users’ activities in the venue.

• Facilities and operations

  • Helping to take care of Imagine Leeds to ensure the venue has a professional look and feel, including tidying and cleaning, and offers a supportive environment for space users.

  • Sharing responsibility for the security of Imagine Leeds, including its equipment, stock and facilities.

  • Helping to improve the systems and processes used at Imagine Leeds, to ensure smooth operation and satisfaction of key stakeholders, regular users and visitors.

• General support and duties

  • Attending team meetings, Imagine Leeds Steering Group meetings and programme-wide meetings and events.

  • Providing information about Imagine Leeds for reports and funding bids.

  • All team members are expected to: 

    • work within and promote the aims and objectives of Leeds Love It Share It CIC, Imagine Leeds and Climate Action Leeds, and present a positive image to the public and other partners.

Contract: Permanent, full time contract.

Hours: 35 Hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. We are open to flexible working options.

Salary: £44,000 - £48,000

Location: Hybrid, anchored to the London Carers Trust office 1 day a week. Flexibility to work from other Carers Trust’s offices around the UK when needed.

We are recruiting a Networks Partnerships & Development Manager (Care Equity) to support Carers Trust’s London based networks of local carer organisations and key partners across commissioning, service development, organisational practice, and partnership development

Activity delivered by this post will be focused through an equity lens, taking a place-based approach to supporting Network Partners respond to the practice based implications of developments such as neighbourhood health, digital and workforce changes, alongside the needs of underserved London carer populations.

We are seeking a skilled practitioner with relevant sector experience of delivering effective capacity building and organisational development support, ideally within health, social care or community related sectors

As the postholder you will:

• Lead on partnership development & relationship management for Carers Trust's cross-sector London Networks & strategic partners

• Provide leadership on equity and inclusion through the convening of communities of practice, staff networks and training sessions in this field

Hope into Action is an inspiring story.  It starts with a couple, Ed and Rach Walker, who decide to use £30,000 of their own money to buy a house for people who were homeless in Peterborough in 2010.  And from this seed, an organisation has grown which 16 years later has 134 houses and has seen over £34 million invested in homes for people who were homeless.

Hope into Action is a story of how faith in God has been put into action and led to resources being shared, new relationships being formed and people’s lives being transformed.

Last year we housed over 500 people who had been homeless. Each of those individuals has a story to share of how Hope into Action has helped them. This is the story we want to share.

The Communications & Engagement Lead is responsible for implementing Hope into Action’s communications and engagement strategy. Working closely with the CEO, they will be responsible for telling the Hope into Action story and driving increased engagement with our vision for every church in the UK to be engaged in ending homelessness.

At least 50% of the role is harvesting stories from around our Network to create engaging content which expresses our vision and mission. We want someone who can be both responsive and strategic. To hear a story from our frontline workers and be able to share it on our website and social media later that day – whilst also working towards the longer term goal of more people in the UK being aware of our work and its impact.

The Role

This new role of Fundraising Manager is a key part of the ongoing work to implement the Cathedral’s strategic plan. The Person

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies that deliver financial growth. You will have experience in one or more of the following income streams; Trust and Foundations, Major Donor/ Patrons and/or Legacy Fundraising. You should be experienced in working to targets and managing budgets and possess a sound knowledge of fundraising regulations and legislation and GDPR.

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You should also be able to write compelling communications, including applications and proposals.

Previous line management experience is desirable, but most importantly, you should be collaborative, ambitious, and resilient, ready to drive projects forward. This is a diverse role with huge potential to build on historic success and shape the future of Ripon Cathedral!

About the project

Salmons Brook Restore and Reconnect is a bold and pioneering project. It will restore 3.4km of the Salmons Brook through Enfield Chase, transforming council-owned farmland into a thriving river landscape. It forms a critical early phase of a wider Landscape Recovery scheme, it marks the first use of Stage Zero principles in London, returning the river to its natural, pre-human state.

The restoration will create a dynamic, multi-channel system with wetlands and wet woodlands, boosting biodiversity and climate resilience. It will help protect around 2,000 properties from flooding downstream in Edmonton and has been described by the Environment Agency as “the single most important piece of river restoration work in London to date.”

Local communities will be at the heart of the project. Through inclusive engagement, especially with underrepresented groups, the project will turn the Salmons Brook into a shared space for nature, wellbeing, and connection, delivering lasting environmental and social impact.

Purpose of the job:

We are seeking a skilled engagement officer to work on our projects in London and the Thames Basin. This role offers an opportunity for the post holder to make a difference to diverse areas of London, with differing challenges and an array of ambitions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

· Map the communities in Edmonton to understand local demographics and identify key stakeholders.

· Through a range of activities and meetings, get to know, listen to and build strong working partnerships with community groups and leaders, organisations, institutions and residents, that support, enable, and champion the project.

· Run public consultations and focus groups with underrepresented communities in the environmental sector to explore perceptions, barriers, and ideas about the Salmons Brook River and Enfield Chase.

· Deliver bespoke activities and events co-designed with focus group participants, ensuring activities are culturally relevant, accessible, and responsive to community needs.

· Collaboratively design a Programme of River Acitivties, shaped by local communities and relationships with existing volunteer groups, offering inclusive activities such as guided walks, arts-based sessions, and wellbeing events.

· Build a catchment-wide community network, uploading details to Thames21’s CRM system in line with GDPR.

· Represent Thames21 and Salmon’s Brook Restore and Reconnect at relevant local forums and proactively recruit volunteers through in-person engagement events.

· Collect and record qualitative and quantitative data on events and activities run, including written and verbal feedback from partners and participants, photos and numbers of attendees keeping to GDPR requirements. Evaluate this information to develop the methods for engagement and inform future activities.

· Carry out the administrative duties to run events including conducting risk assessments and method statements, managing event registrations, liaising with local councils and community groups and maintaining and managing events equipment. 

· Work with the Thames21 Training Officer, to facilitate volunteers to be trained in Thames21’s modules to maintain and monitor local sites. Includes supporting existing volunteers and assisting with building their capacity and connection to the Thames21 network.

In the Mission Catalyst role, you will work as part of our teams to:

• Collaborate with and equip churches in evangelism to those who are marginalised or least likely to hear the gospel in their local area

In this year our professional and established internal training team and your line manager and others, will train, develop and support you in your role so that you develop your own missional skills and evangelism experience. An onward and permanent career pathway at London City Mission will be available to you as you come to the end of the Activation Year, for you to continue your work in mobilising churches for mission and receive further training and development.

The successful candidates will minister in – but not restricted to - the following locations:

• Harrow and North Brent team with a specialist focus on Diaspora churches and groups and an interest in Islam and Other Religions. We are seeking someone whose passion and experience is oriented towards engaging with Hindu communities.
• Lambeth and Wandsworth team with a specialist focus on Children, Youth and Schools. We are seeking someone with a passion for schools ministry and the patience to build relationships in this setting.
• Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest team with a specialist focus on Islam and Other Religions. We are seeking someone with cross‑cultural mission experience, particularly in working with South Asian communities or other faith contexts.

You would be joining LCM at an exciting time as we take forward our new five-year strategy. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. These missional teams are groups of church members who “own” outreach to a particular group, are recognised by the leadership, and pray for each other, using their varied gifts regularly to minister to that group. We pray that, together by 2029, these teams will be part of 25,000 gospel conversations within communities where Jesus Christ isn't known.

Our Mission Catalysts are wholly committed followers of Jesus who bring their passion and skills to contribute to the work of our teams, helping to research the mission needs of an area, supporting networking with churches, helping to train and equip church volunteers in practical evangelism, or helping churches develop their mission work. Successful candidates will be able to prove their ability to contribute to our field teams in these ways.

There is an occupational requirement that the people appointed to these roles will be evangelical Christians. The Occupational Requirement provision of the Equality Act 2010 applies. The appointed candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check.

This role is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for one year with the opportunity for progression into a permanent role within the first year.

Salary: £30,784 per annum.

At London City Mission, we estimate that one in two Londoners, that’s roughly 4.5 million people, are unlikely to hear the gospel in their lifetime. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. These missional teams are groups of church members who take responsibility for a ministry to a community who may not otherwise hear about Jesus, are affirmed and publicly supported by the church leadership, pray for each other and for the people they want to invite to follow Christ, using their different gifts regularly to reach people who are part of this community. We pray that, together by 2029, these teams will be part of 25,000 gospel conversations within communities where Jesus Christ isn't known. The Missionary role is, therefore, a Church mobilisation role.

We are seeking candidates for a Missionary role who have a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus with specific groups of Londoners, and who can also come alongside churches to train and inspire Christian believers to reach their local communities with the hope of the gospel.

The successful candidate will minister in – but not restricted to - the following locations:

• Camden and Islington team with a specialist focus on Diaspora churches and groups with an interest in Homeless and Marginalised.
• Haringey and Enfield team with a specialist focus on Children, Youth and Schools.
• Pan-London Prisons and Resettlement team with a focus on supporting prison leavers in the community.

The successful applicants will have experience of outreach amongst the neediest groups in our society but will also understand the church landscape in London and be able to inspire those in London churches to get involved in outreach. They will work in missional teams to equip church volunteers for outreach where the most need is in their communities, drawing upon their particular experience when required. They will also need to be able to raise ministry personal support, including a target financial support as well as prayer supporters for the work of the Mission through personal and church partnership networks.

We will help train, develop and support you in your role through our professional and established Training team, your line manager and other colleagues. Our heart is to help you be the best that you can be in your role and to help you develop further in your missional and evangelism skills.

This position is a full-time, permanent appointment. Starting salary is £22,546 per annum plus £1,200 per month housing allowance (taxable). Mission housing will be discussed with successful candidates after probation. We also provide a generous employer contribution to a group pension scheme. Targets for personal financial support will be £10,500 for the year 2026.

There is an occupational requirement that the persons appointed be an evangelical Christian. Occupational Requirement provision of the Equality Act 2010 applies. The appointed candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

The Person

You should be experienced, with a proven track record in Individual Giving, communications, PR, marketing or digital. You will understand the power of storytelling and how to create meaningful engagement with supporters. You should:

• Have excellent storytelling skills (written, verbal and visual).
• Be highly organised, self‑motivated and have the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Be motivated by achieving targets and working in a results‑focused role.
• Have strong digital skills across social media, email marketing and online platforms.

Perhaps most importantly, you should be passionate about making an impact, excited about the charity’s mission and the children they serve. You should be committed to raising funds to enable the frontline work of Kidz Klub Leeds to take place and be a passionate ambassador for the charity.

Manage guardians

• Ensure guardians meet our criteria and ready for life as a guardian.
• Manage the guardian sign-up and move-in process.
• Be the main point of contact for guardians.
• Liaise with guardians to resolve any issues or concerns, e.g. poor conduct, licence breaches or vulnerability concerns.
• Work closely with guardians when they need to move on from Dot Dot Dot properties.

Manage properties

• Collaborate with colleagues ensure that properties are monitored, set up and managed in line with internal standards, client requirements and any relevant licensing or regulatory standards.
• Organise, monitor and manage the handback of properties to clients, ensuring guardian and client relationships are managed professionally and  effectively.
• Monitor budgets and spending on property issues, to make good choices about spending and to inform budget planning and risk management.
• Collaborate with clients on property repairs, major works or other issues.
• Provide clients with reports and information about their property as required.

Provide excellent client service

• Liaise closely with clients (building owners) to understand their needs and to keep them updated and informed about our work.
• Build strong day-to-day relationships with client contacts, working in a collaborative and service- focused way.
• Understand our client agreements and ensure that our service delivery meets the unique requirements of each contract.
• Identify opportunities to add value for our clients, encouraging the best social and financial value for all parties.

SV 2has been supporting victims and survivors of sexual abuse since 1994, and today provides a range of services to anyone in Derbyshire and Derby City who has experienced sexual abuse, assault or violence, including their friends and family members. We support people irrespective of age, gender or when the abuse occurred.

We're looking for a highly motivated ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to work across Derbyshire. The role will support people aged 18 and over who have experienced sexual abuse or rape at any point. The successful candidate with join our friendly, professional and passionate team, working across Derbyshire remotely and in person.

You might be the right person for the role if you have:

· At least one year’s experience in managing complex client cases

· Experience of building relationships with partner services and other professionals

· Knowledge of issues affecting victims of sexual violence and abuse

· Experience in delivering services in a confidential environment

· Driving licence and access to a car with business insurance

· Knowledge and experience in relation to the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults and Children
