Hope into Action is an inspiring story.  It starts with a couple, Ed and Rach Walker, who decide to use £30,000 of their own money to buy a house for people who were homeless in Peterborough in 2010.  And from this seed, an organisation has grown which 16 years later has 134 houses and has seen over £34 million invested in homes for people who were homeless.

Hope into Action is a story of how faith in God has been put into action and led to resources being shared, new relationships being formed and people’s lives being transformed.

Last year we housed over 500 people who had been homeless. Each of those individuals has a story to share of how Hope into Action has helped them. This is the story we want to share.

The Communications & Engagement Lead is responsible for implementing Hope into Action’s communications and engagement strategy. Working closely with the CEO, they will be responsible for telling the Hope into Action story and driving increased engagement with our vision for every church in the UK to be engaged in ending homelessness.

At least 50% of the role is harvesting stories from around our Network to create engaging content which expresses our vision and mission. We want someone who can be both responsive and strategic. To hear a story from our frontline workers and be able to share it on our website and social media later that day – whilst also working towards the longer term goal of more people in the UK being aware of our work and its impact.

The Senior Evidence & Evaluation Manager will sit within the Impact & Evidence directorate at the heart of Youth Futures Foundation.

Working with three Heads of Evaluation, the Deputy Director and the Director, you will help ensure our evaluations are designed to generate credible evidence of what works.

You will:

• lead the design, commissioning and management of impact evaluations, including RCTs and QEDs. This will include feasibility or developmental work where interventions are not yet ready for full impact evaluation.

• work closely with independent evaluators and delivery partners and colleagues in our Programmes & Grants and Policy & Communications directorates to assess the evaluability of interventions, and lead the design and delivery of large-scale, complex impact evaluations.

• contribute to strengthening our ‘evaluation architecture’, leading projects that enhance data infrastructure and access to administrative datasets, and set standards for methodological rigour in the sector.

In addition, you will lead other aspects of the team’s commissioning. This may include developing policies and processes, supporting the Heads of Evaluation to strengthen commissioning practice.

This role can be based at our Birmingham, Leeds or London hub. We currently operate a hybrid model of two-days per week in the office and three-days from home.

About the project

Salmons Brook Restore and Reconnect is a bold and pioneering project. It will restore 3.4km of the Salmons Brook through Enfield Chase, transforming council-owned farmland into a thriving river landscape. It forms a critical early phase of a wider Landscape Recovery scheme, it marks the first use of Stage Zero principles in London, returning the river to its natural, pre-human state.

The restoration will create a dynamic, multi-channel system with wetlands and wet woodlands, boosting biodiversity and climate resilience. It will help protect around 2,000 properties from flooding downstream in Edmonton and has been described by the Environment Agency as “the single most important piece of river restoration work in London to date.”

Local communities will be at the heart of the project. Through inclusive engagement, especially with underrepresented groups, the project will turn the Salmons Brook into a shared space for nature, wellbeing, and connection, delivering lasting environmental and social impact.

Purpose of the job:

We are seeking a skilled engagement officer to work on our projects in London and the Thames Basin. This role offers an opportunity for the post holder to make a difference to diverse areas of London, with differing challenges and an array of ambitions.

Main duties and responsibilities:

· Map the communities in Edmonton to understand local demographics and identify key stakeholders.

· Through a range of activities and meetings, get to know, listen to and build strong working partnerships with community groups and leaders, organisations, institutions and residents, that support, enable, and champion the project.

· Run public consultations and focus groups with underrepresented communities in the environmental sector to explore perceptions, barriers, and ideas about the Salmons Brook River and Enfield Chase.

· Deliver bespoke activities and events co-designed with focus group participants, ensuring activities are culturally relevant, accessible, and responsive to community needs.

· Collaboratively design a Programme of River Acitivties, shaped by local communities and relationships with existing volunteer groups, offering inclusive activities such as guided walks, arts-based sessions, and wellbeing events.

· Build a catchment-wide community network, uploading details to Thames21’s CRM system in line with GDPR.

· Represent Thames21 and Salmon’s Brook Restore and Reconnect at relevant local forums and proactively recruit volunteers through in-person engagement events.

· Collect and record qualitative and quantitative data on events and activities run, including written and verbal feedback from partners and participants, photos and numbers of attendees keeping to GDPR requirements. Evaluate this information to develop the methods for engagement and inform future activities.

· Carry out the administrative duties to run events including conducting risk assessments and method statements, managing event registrations, liaising with local councils and community groups and maintaining and managing events equipment. 

· Work with the Thames21 Training Officer, to facilitate volunteers to be trained in Thames21’s modules to maintain and monitor local sites. Includes supporting existing volunteers and assisting with building their capacity and connection to the Thames21 network.

About the Role

About the Role

The Street Engagement Team is an innovative service that works across the West End/Westminster. The team offers an outreach response to people experiencing homelessness and also leads on several other CSTM projects that cover accommodation and health inclusion service offers.

You will be managing and leading a multi-disciplinary team who provides a blend of both long-term and short-term support to people experiencing multiple levels of disadvantages and interconnecting needs. Modelling a psychologically informed approach, you will manage a team who develops and builds relationships so that every person gets the support they need to move them away from their experiences of homelessness. Through a compassionate and adaptive leadership and management style, you will enable creativity, and professional curiosity, strengthen resilience, and team well-being to be able to meet the different needs and aspirations of the people we support. With a working knowledge of housing options, health inclusion approaches and social care entitlements, you will be both strength-based and solution focused, maximising and developing partnerships internally and externally to enhance service provision. You will be committed to embedding coproduction, so that service provision continues to improve and evolve. You will be organised, analytical and reflective with an ability to balance competing priorities.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and driven Communications and Engagement Lead to help shape how students are represented, heard and connected across Greater Manchester.

The Greater Manchester Students’ Partnership (GMSP) brings together students’ unions from across the city region to collaborate, campaign and influence on behalf of students. As Communications and Engagement Lead, you’ll play a key role in telling that story — creating engaging content, supporting regional campaigns and helping to grow a partnership that’s entering an exciting next phase.

This is a varied, fast‑paced role where no two days are the same. You’ll own GMSP’s digital channels, work closely with elected student officers and partner students’ unions, and support activity that amplifies student voice at a city‑region level. Alongside creative communications, you’ll also gain experience of partnership working, events and governance — building a strong foundation for future career development.

We are seeking an experienced, driven and creative Marketing Manager to join Nottingham Hospitals Charity at a senior level. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in working alongside our appointed agency to shape and implement multi-channel marketing plans that support fundraising, engage existing and new supporters as well as bringing our brand to life.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a 360-marketer, utilising your expertise in various channels and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation and external agency partners. You will lead on planning, delivering, and evaluating marketing campaigns to maximise the charity’s impact.
 

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the NHC marketing plan and introduce content marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with charity goals
• Lead on brand awareness campaign to improve awareness, engagement and income
• Be key point of contact with appointed agencies to deliver the marketing and development strategy
• Lead on income generating marketing campaigns from initial concept to delivery and evaluation, ensuring they deliver measurable results
• Work alongside the Communications and Media Manager to oversee the creation and distribution of content across various channels, including digital, social media and email
• Lead on e-marketing from ideation to delivery to support fundraising, supporter and NUH engagement
• Drive fundraising marketing, working closely with Fundraising Leads to identify opportunities and evaluate supporter needs, using insights to inform marketing activity
• Support campaign management, supporter engagement and awareness for Legacy and in-memory giving
• Implement brand guidelines consistently, ensuring all marketing activity reflects Nottingham Hospitals Charity’s values and identity
• Lead on marketing planning to ensure appropriate cadence of communications to supporters and donors
• Repurpose content to ensure maximum engagement and reach
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including NUH Trust Communications teams to create integrated marketing plans that support diverse audience engagement opportunities
• Drive successful lead generation initiatives to deliver data acquisition, conversion and increased income
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to identify innovative opportunities for growth

About you

• Proven experience as a 360-marketer, delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns to diverse audiences and achieving measurable results
• Have demonstrable experience of bringing a brand to life with internal and external audiences
• Strong knowledge of content marketing, audience segmentation, and repurposing content for different platforms
• Experience in implementing brand guidelines and maintaining brand consistency across all marketing outputs
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical mindset, with experience conducting market research and using insights to inform marketing plans
• A proven track record of driving successful lead generation initiatives
• Creative and proactive approach, with a track record of identifying and implementing innovative marketing ideas
• A keen eye for detail and excellent copywriting skills
• Demonstrable experience in line management, including the ability to mentor and develop team members

Marketing experience

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a marketing environment, with a proven track record of delivering impactful campaigns
• An understanding of the charity sector and/or prior experience in a fundraising environment is desirable
• Experience working with CRM systems is also desirable

We are seeking a creative and conscientious communications leader with exceptional attention to detail and demonstrable expertise in developing and delivering high-impact strategic communications outputs in the international development or third sector. We are a relatively small team and are therefore looking for someone who is both highly strategic and able to see the ‘big picture’, while also being happy getting stuck in at an operational level to ensure timely, on-budget delivery of outputs. Experience of working with or within networks or membership organisations would be a particular asset in this role. It is also important that you are comfortable working across all areas – from digital, to design, to publishing, to events – as well as being an exceptional project manager, confident liaising with a range of partners and stakeholders at different levels, and an experienced line manager.

The Global Distributors Collective (GDC) is in an excellent position, with a strong track record of delivery and impact, a solid funding pipeline, and a clear 2026-30 strategy. High-impact communication crosscuts the entire GDC programme and is essential to ensuring that beneficial products can be made affordable and available to all. As Communications Manager (maternity cover), you will therefore need to both hit the ground running to deliver our ambitious schedule of upcoming communications activities – from in-person and online events, to high-profile research, publications, and digital outputs – as well as to work proactively with the Head of GDC, Bopinc team, GDC strategic advisors, and fellow communications colleagues to shape and embed communication activities across a range of new projects that are kicking off in 2026-27.

About Practical Action and the GDC

Practical Action is an international development organisation putting ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world. For the past eight years, Practical Action has been hosting and building the Global Distributors Collective (GDC): a collective of 300 last mile distribution companies that cumulatively reach millions of the poorest consumers in the world with beneficial products like solar lanterns, water filters and improved cookstoves. GDC activities are delivered in collaboration with strategic and implementing partner Bopinc.

The GDC provides a collective voice for distributors to ensure their priorities are heard; drives research and innovation across the sector; facilitates the exchange of information, insight, and expertise; and provides critical services that leverage economies of scale.

Moving into our 2026-30 strategy phase, we are proactively shifting from creating and setting up advisory services and tools that support last mile distributors to embedding and scaling these initiatives. Specifically, we will focus on four key strategic pillars:

· Unlocking finance: Prepare more last mile distributors (LMDs) for investment and help to unlock country-level financing mechanisms and create LMD-focussed debt facilities. 

· Strengthening business performance: Deliver training, shared services, and data tools that reduce business costs and improve efficiency, in scalable formats.

· Scaling innovation: Identify, test, and replicate high-value business innovations and remove eco-system barriers.

· Shaping systems and local leadership: Build local chapters and influence global and national agendas so LMDs are visible, valued and represented. 

About you

We are looking for a go-getting, ambitious and proactive communications specialist who is ready to lead the GDC communications team to deliver a range of high-impact, top-quality, communications activities over the next 12 months. To succeed in this role, you must be a communications all-rounder, an experienced line manager, and an excellent written and verbal communicator with exceptional attention to detail, robust project management and interpersonal skills. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to multitask, work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment, while also being willing to “muck in” in our relatively small team. Depending on where you are based, demonstrable experience of managing remote staff will be important; as will the ability to thoughtfully support and coach team members to achieve their full potential.

We're looking for a highly motivated ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor) to work across Derbyshire. The role will support people aged 18 and over who have experienced sexual abuse or rape at any point. The successful candidate with join our friendly, professional and passionate team, working across Derbyshire remotely and in person.

You might be the right person for the role if you have:

· At least one year’s experience in managing complex client cases

· Experience of building relationships with partner services and other professionals

· Knowledge of issues affecting victims of sexual violence and abuse
