Job description

Victim Support Children and Young Peoples Service in London are looking for a Senior Service Delivery Manager to join the team, managing the South Area of London.

Victim Support (VS) is an independent charity for people affected by crime in England and Wales. We work towards a world where people affected by crime or traumatic events get the support they need and respect they deserve.

The main purpose of this job is to lead a local area Children and Young People's team ensuring that young victims and witnesses of call crime including Serious Youth Violence (SYV) and Knife Crime receive the support they need at the right time and delivered in the way that is most effective for them. You will manage a team of Children and Young People (CYP) caseworkers and (SYV) Youth Advocates, supporting them to meet Victim Support's current and future contractual requirements as well as increasing take up of service and ensuring all young victims and witnesses get the support they deserve. You will also coach staff to enable them to provide both effective immediate and longer term support and advocacy to clients.

You will analyse performance information and use outcomes to identify and implement effective practice both in the CYP service and across any projects that you manage. You will also produce accurate and timely performance reports for internal use and high quality monitoring reports for commissioners.

You will be required to maintain effective relationships and formal partnerships across organisations and with key stakeholders promoting and developing the services of Victim Support in order to meet clients needs and win new business.

You will also be required to manage borough based projects, meeting with commissioners as required and ensuring quarterly and other reporting requirements are met.

Victim Support offers competitive rewards and benefits including pension and life assurance, 25 days annual leave (pro-rata), voluntary benefits such as season ticket loans and the opportunity to play a key role in a national charity providing world-class services to victims and witnesses and being a vital force for change.
